Dollar General reviews
20Deck of cards? Check. Lego set? They had it. Hot dogs? No problem. Seasonal decorations? A selection. Thirsty? In the cooler on your way out. Dollar General has it all.
Definitely a great store they actually built it within a month it's close to where I live and they have everything it's like a miniature Walmart
Nice newer store. The staff is friendly and the stock is good. It isn't the biggest or the nicest DG I have seen, but it usually always has what I need when I go there!
My husband and I decided to stop in the store last night because I needed some things and I heard this store was very large and well kept with alot of merchandise and good prices. Searching for water bottles, I could not find any in the aisles so I approached the front of the store where the bottles were stocked. I asked the gentleman working and asked if I could take some and was told no I could not, they were only for show. I was confused and we exchanged a few more words and he then told me that ya, why could I not take them? !? ! Although I thought he was rude, I continued to shop. We then checked out. The same gentleman rang us up. I asked him if we were aloud to take the cart out of the lot to stock our groceries in the car. He looked at us like we were crazy and very sarcastically told me that he had no idea what I was talking about and why would I not be able to, that is what carts are for. I told him he was very rude and at that point I just wanted to leave. Upon leaving, he followed me to the door, at this point in time he handed me the laxatives I purchased and told me that he was sure I did not want to forget these. I asked him why they were not in the bag and he told me he was sure I wanted them in my.purse. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had in my life. I was embarassed and I would hope that this individual does not have the opportunity to ever treat another customer this way again.tyou
Love this store! Great location, CLEAN, and Great Prices. Staff is super friendly. This store is a Wonderful addition to our community.
Store okay. Staff is rude. It's a Dollar General, no better or worse than any other. Only thing that separates this store from most is its ample parking.
For such a small store they have a lot of merchandise. I was able to find the flavored water additives for my mom. She does not like aspartame so it was nice to find that they had a couple of options that did not contain aspartame. I don't shop here often but when I do they seem to have what I go there at 4 and I generally by another 5 or $10 worth of stuff LOL
Clean, well stocked shelves and the snack section up front! (I needed a few items for a small get together, and I hate traveling through rows and rows of stuff for chips)! Fair prices and fast checkout. Good choice for when you need to grab and go!
I must have been there on a bad day, as there were many empty shelves. Otherwise, store is clean and prices are pretty good.
Great little store for finding those items that you don't want to roam a huge store for. One of the best greeting card inventory I have found. The clerk's are helpful and friendly.
They have a large selection but most importantly the people who work there are kind intelligent and extremely helpful! Always a great experience!
Much better store than Family Dollar - people in Millvale are just too lazy to travel here. I’m a huge advocate of this store because of the prices, service and it’s a beautiful store.
They just opened back up on Thursday I love the improvements. Its better than the one on the ss
Got stuff. Friendly, but More stockers than checkers, let's the line get long. 1 minute to find, 10 minutes to checkout,
Its a brand new store on Babcock so i like that its soo clean and organized they offer more than just dollar items as well. I will only say it has a smell when you walk in not sure what the smell is but it is only downfall so far.
I was pleasently surprised with the selection here. There's a little big of everything. They do have a clearence area. Their food prices were simular if not more then the neighboring shop n' save. The workers were friendly.
Convenient location. However, you only had one person working on a Saturday afternoon. There was some girls buying balloons so while the guy was filling up 10 balloons for them the line just got longer and longer and longer. Definitely should have had other staff on. And if there were, they were nowhere in sight. I waited in line for over 15 minutes to buy one thing.
Store has a very weird smell to it that can be particularly nauseating. Do not go to this Dollar General to pick up your hangover cures as you may end up losing your breakfast.
Also, I noticed some of the soft drinks in the front cooler were out of date by over a month. For a recently opened store, you would expect the standards to be a little higher on rotating their stock.
I am giving it 2 stars as I didn't buy much, so I can only assume that most products you would buy here would be as advertised, considering it's all packaged stuff.
Nice size store and variety decent deals. There was some sort of odd potent smell through out the store. This place was just built and opened so I summed it up to some sort of glue or something still fresh.
When I came in they had nothing. Low stock. No ginger ale. No cans, no 2 liters, no 1 liters, none. Also there were just big bare spaces everywhere. No employee was out on the floor but at least they had a bell! I've been in Dollar generals were, if I was that type of person, I could have taken the whole store and the employees would come out to emptiness because they are no where to be seen.
