Dollar General, Pottsville PA

It states the store closes at 9 so
why was it closed before 8: 30? And then a grown woman says she's going to call the police on children because they tried to walk in thinking the store was still open.

Went here in early and mid 2021. Very bad customer service. 3 of the people who were working there which if I had to guess were women in there 50s and 60s had some of the worst attitudes I have ever seen and they had no issues gossiping and complaining right in front of customers. Place was dirty and just a bad vibe in general. I would rather shop online then go to this place I actually walked out and didn't bother buying anything and didn't visit again for many months!
Went back here in August of 2022. I didn't see these ladies anywhere and I saw new employees. Not sure if someone went to corporate and told them about this place or they just were fired or left but in any way I'm glad they are not here anymore. Of course it could be a fluke but the place does seem to be in better working condition so my guess is they are no longer here!

I don't know who hired the ladies who made the place so awful to visit but because clearly someone did I have to rate this place 1 star. Don't get me wrong I'm glad it's in better working condition and more inviting to come in and shop, there is still no excuse why the ladies acted so badly for so long. They had to be at that location for at least a year if not more. I was shocked seeing people that old act so petty and ugly!

I've never had a bad experience here, the employees were always nice and helpful. I can find what I'm looking for quickly.

Disorganized carts blocking isles. Trash on the floor and low and out of stock on many items. So disorganised it looks like somebody had a party and didn't clean up.

Walked in ten minutes before closing was yelled at because it was 10 minutes left. Was told 9 8 etc minutes remaining until i was annoyed and left.

This place is always trashed n dirty and unkept and out of stock and the employees are extremely ignorant

Most shelves were bare and the employees were working hard on restocking. Employees were very polite and helpful with finding items despite being really busy. Store itself was clean, despite at my last visit several months prior where it was dirty.

Love it! There are quality everyday items: food, hygiene, and household all at one dollar so there is no guessing.

Still getting used to finding things. You have a lot of milk with a use by date of 3/20/21. I avoided buying milk there for that reason

A lot of empty shelves, not enough staff. Only one register open, and it does not matter how many customers are in line

This place shouldn't even be open! It's disgusting and dirty! IRS like a hole in the ground

Remodel is good yet the floors have rust stains on them everywhere stock carts all throughout the aisles and walkways. Shelves barely stocked

Very dirty, wouldn't buy anything from that store. Floors were covered in dirt. Gross. Will never go back.

The store is dirty. Shelves empty or unorganized. Boxes and pallets blocking aisles. The line at the register was long at least 25 people. Only on register open. I did not buy anything after seeing the condition of the store and the line.

This store is okay, for it's location.
But it could use some help with better organization on the shelves.
And good clean up job, but okay to get some things.

This was by far the dirtiest Dollar General I have been to in my entire life. Not only was a dirty but there was nothing on the shelves.everything was empty. You're having to walk around carts that are full of tubs just to get through the aisle. I've worked at a Dollar General before and our store never look like that I felt like I had to take a shower as soon as I got home.

This place is very unorganized and the place is always understaffed which leads to long waits.
