Ever since covid struck this place has been a complete disaster. When considering shopping at this location, count on your items not being in stock. Count on crates of inventory that have to be unloaded blocking your aisles. You can count on long lines at check out. Count on long waiting times to be served. Count on this store to not be open on time. And if you're shopping late afternoon, count on this store being closed early due to "system errors".
And if you're like me, who applied to this location to try and help get the place back to a respectable establishment, count on them never calling you back.

You guys should close the store until yall have the staff to run this place.

I haven't been in here in about ten years. From what I remember, it's an ok store. I was back here again today. It's a nice store. Sizable place. The lady at the check out was very friendly. She talks to everyone. She says hi to you the minute you walk in the door. Nice person. Love the new store that was built. Nice and big. Problem is, when checking out, you have to wait a long time in line because the lines are always long.

This store is much bigger and cleaner than the old dollar general was. However the customer service at this new one is awful! I have asked employees many times for help only to have them look at me like I was crazy! Really, like they have no idea where that would even be in the store let alone if they have it or not. Then you go to check out and the new registers they have do not show items scanning from the customers view. The receipt is only a total amount due and that is all why? So I can't see each item that I bought and the price of it? That is ridiculous. I'm sure everyone that goes into a store wants to see what they have been charged for. Also if it was on sale make sure the sale price is what you have been charged. Every time I go into this location and get to the register the employee standing there looks like they are miserable. Never a hello or anything of nature, not even a smile. Maybe being able to smile and say hello should be a requirement for a job in customer service these days.

I go to this store at least four times a week. They always have great deals and the staff is always nice and helpful. Sometimes the store does get a little busy, but the long line goes by fast. When I need cheap products and im on a budget, this is usually where I shop.

Was treated poorly by a employee when I was going down an isle. Did not stare at the floor to notice the arrows. Should have left my cart and left

This visit, they had everything I was looking for. Great choice of masks (for protection from the virus, not referring to Halloween masks) in several colours, and very well made ones from reputable companies as well, so we were happy about that, tho it would be great to see more colours and patterns instead of just a few solid colour masks. It looks like we'll be dealing with mask wearing for quite a while longer and it would really help cheer people up about it by offering fun designs, esp for wearing over a dreary winter. The girls working in the store were very helpful. I will definitely revisit this location.

My only complaint is the fact that they got very little amounts of Halloween stuff in too early.so by the time I got in there -end of September- they had no more Halloween themed masks (the kind for the virus, not plastic Halloween costume masks), and despite going to 3 locations that day looking for them, every store was sold out. That was really disappointing. One of the employees told me that although they can request things to come in, they don't really have any control over putting in orders for specific items to be delivered from suppliers to be put on the racks for sale. Which makes zero sense to me. As someone who did quite a bit of retail work in my lifetime (some of that time as a manager as well) I think they should give their managers the power to actually order in more items that are popular and they know are going to sell. It's very frustrating to ask for something, only to be told they don't have the power to order specific items. I do think they should give the store managers more say in this area, or at the very least let their opinions have more weight since they should know what would sell successfully in their store since they speak directly to the customers.

I gotta say there is something I've noticed which I find very interesting. It's very likely to run into solid employees in DG. I don't know if it's something in their training, or they look for specific personality traits in interviews, or maybe there's finally a company who treats their employees well.or maybe it's a combination of these things and more.but I have almost never run into a DG employee that was less than helpful or was just plain miserable. I have been in a tons of DGs because of time spent on the road quite a lot, and every one I go into there is usually a cheerful, helpful, professional employee working there.

Love Dollar general. Only thing I suggest is employees be more intentive when lines get backed up
