Down Home Diner reviews
18I like the atmosphere of the diner. I think I’m not an American so I felt like it’s very United States. I had almond croissant and it was nice.
True American diner with an awesome option for breakfast. Best option for something to eat in the morning
Jackson our server was incredible. We had lots of small kids and he could’ve been short and distempered but he was the opposite be was patient and kind and so so super accommodating! It’s because of him that we will come back here as soon as we can! Thank you Jackson for making our lunch with kids delicious and fun!
They had me at scrapple fries! Up from Raleigh for a short trip. Never ate here when we lived here
So glad we did now!
Great breakfast! Great coffee and fresh and delicious food with big portions and reasonable prices. Our server Kadeem was really sweet and attentive. Have been here before and will be back again.
Great, innovative dishes, fresh ingredients, excellent bloody Marys and top notch service (thanks Chris!)
The food was great. We got the Granny’s Meatloaf and the Classic Cheesesteak and we loved them. And the price is pretty cheap considering the quality of the food.
The cheesesteak omelette was amazing and the service. Not a long wait to be seated even with being packed house.
Hard to beat the delicious food —- inspired breakfast selection, homemade bread and biscuits, but the staff does just that with their fabulous and friendly staff, especially the adorable Kait!
Off to a good start with a nice waitress taking our order.though, waters and drinks came late just to find out the coffee here had no half and half.the half and half at our table were all empty packets in a bowl.we got our food around 5 minutes after our drinks and the food look good astheticly.the food i ordered were home fries, a biscuit, and scrambled eggs.the eggs were great.simple eggs.the biscuit however was cold and no taste to it.and lastly the home fries were overcooked.one of the member of my party at the table ordered a sausage patty and got bacon instead.the waitress went back and brought him links instead.nice place, worse waiters and waitresses, and decent food.
I liked the atmosphere where there are many people enjoying it as a family, alone, as a couple, it seems very nice to me? But the food leaves a lot to be desired, the service is acceptable.
I loved this diner so much. The food was amazing. But my favorite part of this experience was our server Shohali. She truly gave some of the best and friendliest service I’ve ever received. It really made my day being treated so well with so much kindness. I’m coming back every time I visit Philadelphia!
Jackson was our server and he was great with us and the kids! Great experience. Will come back
Driest chicken sandwich I’ve ever eaten. Only saving grace was the pickles, which provided the smallest drop of moisture for the whole meal. Our server Shohali was very attentive and kind. However, I would not recommend the cookies at the end of the meal unless you have a taste for sandpaper. Terrible experience.
Kait did an excellent job as our server! Very personable, accommodating, and quick! I had the Scram Bowl, and it was delicious!
Amazing food and very generous portions! Our server was so sweet! I highly recommend this diner! You will not be disappointed!
From the moment we walked in, the entire staff paid attention to our needs and tried to make our experience pleasurable. Our waitress was so attentive and friendly. The food was fantastic and the cherry jam to decadent. Definitely would recommend this restaurant to others.
