Dr. Kim, Chiropractor (Chiropractic Pittsburgh) Shadyside

I visited Dr. Kim last week after the amount of COVID cases slowed down, and I was so impressed by my lower back treatment. I work from home now, and my lower back has been constantly bothering me from sitting down all the time. It was even difficult to stand up properly. His practice was very clean, and each equipment was sanitized after every use. Not only was the practice clean, but the equipment is so unique. I have never seen these used before by other chiropractors. It did wonders for my back, and I would highly recommend Dr. Kim to help with pain alleviation!

I just moved to Pittsburgh recently for my job, and I was looking to get treatment for my severe back pain that radiated through the hips down to the legs. I was glad that Dr. Kim accepted my Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance from out of state! Dr. Kim gave me a full detailed treatment plan on how to get better. He was very detailed in the types of equipment he used to treat my pain. I have been getting treated for couple weeks now, but this pain has been a problem for so long that I am finally glad to see some gradual improvements.

I was having some discomfort in my upper back and lower back from online classes, but I was weary going anywhere due to COVID-19. When I went to Dr. Kim’s office, I was very pleased with the precautions they had in place. Everybody had on masks (and was wearing them properly, which is important), the facility was very clean, and they were very mindful to keep things as sanitary as possible. Best of all, the machine they had me use relieved a lot of my stiffness and I definitely feel more limber.

Dr. Kim has helped me when I was suffering from chronic pain in the back and pain radiating down the back of my legs from constantly carrying heavy loads at work. I have been to several chiropractors before, and unlike other chiropractors, Dr. Kim provides more than just adjustments. He uses various types of equipment to focus on the area of pain, and I always feel relieved after seeing Dr. Kim. Personally, my favorite equipment is the soundwave that promotes blood flow to the affected area and I experience immediate pain relief. If you are in search of a new chiropractor who does more adjustments and need a therapeutic experience, I would totally recommend Dr. Kim.

Bought a Groupon for 3 sessions. I called and made an appt mentioning that I had a Groupon. They asked me then if I had insurance and I just said I had a Groupon. The office is very hard to get to and parking is difficult. I finally spent $4 to park and when I walked in they turned me away. Asked me again if I had insurance and when I reminded them I had a Groupon they told me it was for 3 separate areas (not 3 sessions) and that Groupon had listed it wrong. I’ve been to half a dozen chiropractors and none of them charge by the “area. ” They gave me my money back but wasted an hour and a half of my day off and it was a hassle to park. It seemed like they turned me away because of the insurance thing because they didn’t see me as a returning customer. I DO have insurance, I just didn’t think it was necessary that they have that information because I was using a Groupon at the time. I was looking forward to trying them out for over a month and they wasted my time because they’re awful people. Do NOT recommend. Very rude!

This was the worst chiropractic experience I’ve ever had. Dr. Kim not only made me and my girlfriend feel worse after we left but he fails to provide and patient education, proper sanitation, he was very difficult to understand and made it very clear that we needed to go back atleast 8 times to fix the problem. He was very insistent on it which made it clear he was looking for more money. He is the reason people don’t trust chiropractors, we recently moved here and I had to leave my other chiropractor and I thought this place would be good because it’s close to the hospital however I was very wrong. So I now am going to have to drive an hour to my other chiropractor to solve my problem I absolutely do not recommend Dr. Kim I feel so strongly about this. I have never written an online review before but I was that displeased with my visit and the almost high pressure sales tactics.

I am a student at CMU and I started going to Dr. Kim a couple months ago (around beginnning of November). I have really enjoyed my treatments there and have had back, pelvic, and shoulder pain alleviated by consistent visits. He is very nice and works there with his whole family.

I think that he definitely has the patient's best interests at heart as he has given services and orthotics because he wants the patient to get better. I first had noticeable improvement after a few visits. Also with Aetna insurance (at least through CMU), the price is truly unbeatable.

The intial assessment was fantastic and really had an incredible breakdown of which areas and range of motion was restricted and possible causes of the pain.

I couldn't recommend him more honestly.

Wow, this has to be the best chiropractor I went to in my whole life. And to think, I only stumbled upon him because I was in the area. My first appointment, which was a last minute walk in lasted a hour in a half.he did several tests and adjustments on me. He had all kinds of state of the art equipment that I had never seen before.this is a family run business and you can tell they really care. My first visit, he ran me 5 or 6 different machines including traction and laser therapy. Coming from someone who suffers everyday from chronic back pain, I was really impressed. Infact I feel like there is hope to one day feel better. I definitely plan on coming back and I look forward to one day being pain free.again if you are suffering from chronic back pain IAM very curious to see how I feel in the next few days after having such a exstensive exam, especially with the light therapy. I will certainly recommend these guys

I came to see Dr. Kim after I got into an auto accident, and I was suffering from lower back and neck pain. He helped me deal with my auto accident case, and using new examination tools, he came up with a treatment plan to get me back in shape. I have been getting treatment for over a month now, and I am consistently visiting his office for maintenance!

I woke up with what felt like a pinched nerve in my shoulder. I called and they were able to get me in as a new patient that day! He was able to work out a significant portion of the pain so that I could start to use my arm again (I ended up at a concert 2 hours after my appointment and was able to enjoy it without being bothered by my shoulder). In 4 days I was totally free of pain!
Dr. Kim is a great doctor. He has some cool state of the art equipment that I've never seen before. He is an honest man and I totally trust any recommendations he gives.

I went to Dr. Kim for my neck pain because as a student, I spend most of my days either on the phone or studying. I took an x-ray in the office, and Dr. Kim told me I have anterior head carriage. After few months of treatment and neck exercises with Dr. Kim, I took an x-ray again, and I saw that my head posture became more straight! Also, the treatment relieved some headaches I have been experiencing!

I went to Dr. Kim for my mid to low back pain, and he explained to me in detail about the cause of the pain and type of treatments I need to relieve the pain. After only a few treatment sessions, the pain is completely gone!

I am a big sports guy, and I play hockey competitively in an amateur league. I also like to work out and lift weights. During my rest day, I go to Dr. Kim to use the recovery pump that helps my muscles recover quickly for work out the next day. I personally like the boots for my legs and sleeves for my arms. I recommend the recovery pump for any athletes because it is incredible how your arms and legs do not feel as sore after using them.

I recommend this place to anyone with any kind of back pain. Dr. Kim and his staff are incredible! My pain was relieved within a week!

I went to Dr. Kim to get treatment using M6 Robotic Laser for my hand because I could not open my hand all the way. I had difficult being able to grasp with my hands, but after few sessions of M6 Robotic Laser treatment, I have seen improvements. Thanks to Dr. Kim, I have gradually become able to open my hands more than I used to before.

I play sports at a very competitive level and a friend of mine recommended Dr. Kim's clinic when I severely sprained my right ankle. I got injured late in the night and Dr. Kim first provided expert advice over the phone and took me in the next day. I went to UPMC to rule out a fracture and was told to sit out for 4 weeks. However, with just a few visits to Dr. Kim's clinic, I was back on court just after a week. Highly recommend this place for any sports injury!

Everything about this hospital was outstanding. The people were so nice. The desk attendant was very lovely and nice. As a student studying for many hours, I began to worry my posture was becoming crooked and unbalanced. Thanks to Dr. Kim, my body form was repaired without much hassle nor pain. I highly recommend anyone whose body feels uncomfortable or is need of fixing posture.

Dr Kim and his wife are very kind. I went in expecting an adjustment and ended up doing a few treatments, all which I've never seen before. I have lower back issues and I went in barely being able to put on my shoes and by the end I was able to put them on comfortably. I noticed a significant decrease in pain.

You have to be open minded when you come here though, it's not your every day treatment.

My intention when coming into this place was to get help for my neck, upper back, and shoulders. Instantly, I was greeted by the receptionist who was very friendly and accomodating. After my treatment, I was sore for about a day or two; but, my pain was gone within a few days after. I am not one to normally write reviews but this place was incredible! I am pleased by the results and the treatment performed by Dr. Kim. I would definitely recommend this place, and I will for sure be back!

I had chronic pain in my wrists and ankles for years. After only a few visits, the pain was much relieved. I strongly recommend this clinic for people with that kind of pain.
