Dr. Steven Rice - Rice, Conover & Okur, Philadelphia PA

Love this place! Everyone is so friendly and place is neat! Nice views of the city while your in the chair. Really recommend this place.

Ive been dealing with the great group & Dr. Rice for over 11 yrs and was very happy, now that he is retiring Dr. Conover, Leonard, Assoc have taken over his practice their billing and pricing over over 100% more and they do not accept Humana PPO as payment in full. No pre notice no letting u know will be change at least at the new year nooo just charge you as out of network now! I do not now no way have the trust & fair prices & dont feel put first as dr rice did. The atmosphere is all focused on money & extras under this new group.ive seen offices with this impersonal show me the money cold office & i see this as bait and switch so be aware of this. Shame that this place is reaping benefits of the fine practice of dr rice wish him well! George P. Kelly

I've been going to Dr. Rice over 30 years and can honestly say by far he is the best Dentist around. The office is clean and the staff is professionally above and beyond the best ever.

First visit with Dr. Rice (and hygienist Jackie). Excellent care, office staff were great, do recommend.

The care from this dentist is fine, but the business practices are unacceptable. I was scheduled for a cleaning, and because the dentist decided to take vacation, my appointment was canceled at the last minute. For the rescheduled appointment one month later, the appointment was once again canceled at the last minute because the hygienist decided to take vacation. For the next rescheduled appointment one month after the rescheduled appointment, I was told 8/2 for an appointment time by the receptionist and when I arrived the morning of 8/2, I was told the appointment was for 8/9 and turned away for service. The next appointment that was offered for the following month in September. These are unacceptable business practices. This office either needs to hire additional staff, or plan vacations with substantial notice given to patients. It’s senseless to have patients take time off from work for appointments that the office cannot keep.

I came in on 3/26 because a filling had cracked. I have some dental anxiety from some botched fillings at a former dentist but Dr. Rice made me feel extremely at ease! The whole visit last ~20 minutes and didn't break the bank! I've been going to Dr. Rice for about 1.5 years now and it's definitely been the right decision!

Has the feel of a small town dental office, friendly and efficient service, and they don't try to sell you extra unneeded products like some larger practices.

I have been going to Dr. Rice for over 30 years. He is the best. Very calming and professional but still very friendly and welcoming. He's careful and gentle and explains everything he's doing. Jacque has been a great addition to the staff. I have gone to her several times and always get a good check-up and cleaning with good conversation. The staff has been with him long term and are friendly and do their job well. The office is always neat and clean and updated.

After not going to the dentist for 7 years I chipped my front tooth. Being my first time back at the dentist I was terrified about what Dr. Rice was going to say about my dental health. He was able to fix the chip in my tooth in about 5 minutes, and that alone restored my confidence in dentist visits. I have my first teeth cleaning scheduled in a couple weeks now. Dr. Rice came off as calm and very knowledgeable which made me feel more at ease. He was referred to me by a friend, and I will be sure to recommend him to anyone I know!

Dr. Rice and Jackie are amazing! I have a fear of going to the dentist and they always make me feel super comfortable. They are great!

Hands down, BEST DENTIST & STAFF EVERRR! Patient for almost 30yrs, even my sons loved him as kids & now as young adults! My ex-husbands job switched insurance one year that Dr. Rice didn't accept. I had an issue, went to another dentist & had a TERRIBLE experience - the dentist squirted water in my face - that was enough for me! I didn't allow him to go any further! I wiped my face, removed the bib, suddenly remembered I had another appointment & left LOL! I went the rest of the year w/o seeing a dentist. When it was time for open enrollment at my job, I selected an acceptable insurance & immediately scheduled an appointment. Dr. Rice saw me a day & a half later! BEST DENTIST EVERRRRRR!

Dr. Rice is a great dentist. He explains everything in a way that is easy to understand and he answers all of my questions. He and his entire staff are all very nice and helpful. He's the best!

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Rice, and a good dentist is SO hard to find! He's a solo practitioner, and he and his small staff are knowledgable, helpful, organized, polite, and just the kind of practice that you never seem to find anymore. Dr. Rice is the best that it gets!

Amazing office! The staff is great and super friendly. Dr. Rice has a great sense of humor and makes you feel very welcomed. I am always in and out super fast and don't have to wait around. Dental hygiene advice is always helpful and non-judgmental. This is the first time I am regularly going to the dentist because it is such a pleasant experience.

Dr Rice deserves 10 stars for being friendly, informative and efficient. He saved me from a dire out of network dentist situation and informed me that I had been given incorrect direction to fill a cavity that didn't exist. I can't say enough about how great he and his practice are. Thank you again Dr. Rice!

One year later and this 5 star review still stands! I've now been 2 more times since the original post, and Dr Rice continues to impress and make me be at ease. Unlike past dentists that hurt or were impatient, he is careful about what he is doing and answers all my questions. Not to mention the rest of the staff are friendly and informative as well. Thank you again for being the best in Philly!

Dr. Rice is by far the best dentist in Philadelphia. He's been taking care of me since 1999. He always make me feel so comfortable. He never make my mouth hurt. I just love his practice no long wait you're in and out. He's also funny and caring. He loves his family. Dr. Rice I'm going to miss you when you retire I'm already dreading that moment.

When I was looking for a new dentist in Philadelphia, my co worker recommended Dr. Rice. I can’t express how wonderful my experience has been there. Not only are the staff so friendly but appointments are so efficient! I had residue on my front teeth for 18 years from braces. It wasn’t until Dr Rice that I even realized I could change this! Definitely best dentist ever!

I moved to Philly over ten years ago. I struggled to find a dentist as my one from my hometown was my only one from age 6-21. It took ten years but I finally find one I actually like. Staff is friendly. Dr. Rice is friendly and makes you at ease. Good dentists are hard to come by and he's mos def the best I've had in Philly. I just hope he doesn't retire for the next 50 years.

Everyone here does awesome work. Dr. Rice is an efficient master at what he does. I don't know anyone who truly enjoys going to the dentist, but if you have to, I would recommend going here.

Had some drilling needing done and was several years removed from my last dental visit. My cleanings and drillings were completed swiftly, I was in on time every time, and couldn't believe how fast they are able to work while providing as comfortable experience as getting your mouth drilled could be.

Dr. Rice and his staff were efficient, friendly, and accommodating. It was easy to schedule an appointment, even as a new patient, and the appointment itself was quick and painless. Dr. Rice was happy to answer questions, took the time to explain how and why I was experiencing certain problems with my teeth/jaw, and encouraged me to call with any additional questions.
