June of 2023, I had a TLIF performed by doctor Dr. Welch. Him and his whole team was amazing, polite, professional and helpful. Knowledge and thorough.
My surgery was a success with an easy recovery. I’m very grateful and optimistic for the future.

In a city crowded by spine surgeons. I write my opinion that this physician is truly the finest spine surgeon. Neck or low back slash cervical or lumbar slash hernita disc or tumor compression or anything else to do with the spine period there is no more Technically savvy or talented spine surgeon anywhere in the country. He is a doctor for doctors celebrities and dignitaries, who's minimally invasive techniques allows those working to return to work those in sports to return to. The sports. He needs no advertising he needs no introduction. I feel it is my duty as a highly ranked physician to educate the public when possible.

Dr Welch is absolutely the best back surgeon ever. After years of debilitating pain he performed a laminectomy and I have been pain free since then 4 years ago!

Had seen Dr. Walsh in early 2012 for a consultation for lower back pain from another surgery that was preformed several years previous. After looking at my MRI Dr. Walsh said he could make me 70 to 80% better than I was and get me off of all pain medications. I scheduled surgery with his staff and a few weeks later an 8.5 hour operation and fusion of L4 and L5 was done on a Friday in late 2012. (I also find it hard to believe Dr. Walsh stood there for the entire operation of 8.5 Hours when I came to find out he was also preforming other surgeries that day). That weekend while trying to recover in the hospital I was in the worst pain that I could of ever imagined post surgery and the nursing staff could not get it under control. The following Monday Dr. Walsh and his staff finally showed up to my room where I was still not able to walk and in unbelievable pain. His bedside manner really shined through when he screamed at me NO ONE STAYS IN THE HOSPITAL THIS LONG AFTER I OPERATE ON THEM. I asked at this point why the pain was so severe and his response was that I go to Magee Rehab in Phila. I opted to try to go home at this time and left Pennsylvania Hospital on a walker. After a few visit to Dr. Walsh and his staff mostly a nurse practitioner I was told that there was nothing else they could do for me and to find a pain management Doctor and Neurologist. I have never been treated like this by so called professionals. Today I have had to have a pain pump installed inside my body to control leg pain and neuropathy which I never had before this operation and two different spinal cord stimulators just so I can live a really poor quality of life. BTW this site will not allow you to post unless you check at least one star.

Have had severe neck pain for over a year. Sent for an MRI & X-ray. Received a voice mail same day from the office to discuss results. I called back the following morning and front office personnel had no idea what to do next. Then contacted by very rude nurse at the end of the day who tells me the doctor is on vacation until Wednesday. Why leave a patient already in significant pain the entire weekend with no details over something you are saying is urgent? Super displeased with this entire experience as all of this is very unprofessional.
