I had ~1300 sqft of underutilized space on my first floor and basement, for over TEN years. I was literally using it to store things.

During the pandemic, I decided to get serious about my renovation plans, and began searching for a design and build firm. I searched for more than a year before finding a company I felt comfortable with, and that company was dRemodeling.

Their website clearly outlined what I could expect during each phase, and the estimated costs were helpful. When the representative (Mike) came out to see the space and discuss my project, I asked a lot of questions. Throughout our discussion he was transparent, and clearly communicated what his company would and would not do. The next step was the design process.

Autumn was assigned as my designer, and she did a fantastic job. I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted, but her drawings helped me to refine my vision. Partnering with the trades, she layered in all the building codes into the design. She also introduced me to vendors who had outstanding products to choose from. Once the design was complete, she handed me off to Devin and Mike to bring the vision to life.

My project was a big one. The basement was unfinished, so they started from scratch. It was built out to include a utility room, storage room, meditation room, open entertainment area and wet bar. The basement stairs were also rebuilt, some beams shortened and new beams added. The first floor was taken down to the studs in the bathroom and kitchen, new flooring added throughout both floors, a beam replaced, upgraded electrical panel added for all the new appliances, walls were opened in the living room and a doorway was closed off, and a dining room wall came down. I even contracted with a separate HVAC company to zone my heating, add in a mini-split, reroute heating lines, replace the sewer line from the home to the main, and replace 2 baseboard heaters.

Saying it was a complex project is an understatement! It required a lot of coordination, engineering drawings, multiple inspections and 3 bathroom redesigns - which Devin completed. Devin's final bathroom layout was nothing short of amazing, given the odd shape floorplan she had to work with. Also, the handoff between dRemodeling and the HVAC company was seamless.

As for the rest of the team, they are top notch! They took great pride in their work, and were all knowledgeable and highly skilled. From demo to project completion, TOP NOTCH! They communicated well with each other, partnered to solve challenges encountered along the way, and treated my project as if it were their own home.

Have you ever heard the saying "you get what you pay for"? In the case of dRemodeling you do. The peace of mind I get knowing the job was well done, and with integrity, is worth every dime I spent.

I was pleased with the 2 bathrooms and powder room redecorated by dRemodeling. The workers were all professional and pleasant. They worked hard and were careful to clean up the site at the end of work each day.

DRemodeling did a total bathroom remodel and dining room ceiling replacement for us. While the cost was very high, the end result is beautiful. Communication was excellent. I would hire dRemodeling again and I would recommend the company to family and friends.

Looking to re-do our sad, original 1958 hall bath, we first talked to a couple high-profile local kitchen & bath specialists, but were gobsmacked by their cost estimates. At the same time dRemodeling had just completed a big project in a neighbor's home. We were immediately impressed by the quality of their job and soon found ourselves in dRemodeling's showroom with a much more down-to-earth estimate. Their specialist Amber guided us through the design phase and materials selection with fresh ideas and detailed renderings. Our project started on time and finished ahead of schedule. From material delivery, to demolition, to installation, the dRemodeling team was like a well-oiled machine. Their techs are detail oriented, communicative, neat and responsive to our concerns. They seemed to really enjoy what they were doing. After completion, we had a few small punch list items and these were taken care of very quickly. Most importantly, we got our sad hall bath turned into a bright, spa-like haven of tranquility.

As an addendum to the above review, we wanted to add that dRemodeling’s post-completion service was really great. A minor issue with a sink was addressed with minimum fuss. Very responsive!

DRemodeling did an amazing top-to-bottom remodel of our kitchen. We were impressed by the quality of their work, their attention to detail, and their responsiveness and flexibility, from the design process through to the finishing touches. They coordinated the many steps of the process seamlessly and completed the work within the timeline they gave us and for only slightly more than the original estimate (and the extra expenses were because of unexpected issues with the subfloor and electrical wiring in our old home). We would absolutely return to DRemodeling for future renovations.

We recently completed a first floor master suite addition to our home. This included converting a back porch to a bedroom. This was the third time we used D Remodeling. Once again we were very pleased with the entire project: from working with Devin again on design to the execution by a team of very professional & dedicated artisans. Shout out to Shayna who created the most beautiful, zero threshold shower. There are always issues when working on an older home, but DRemodeling always was able to figure out the most reasonable & cost efficient fixes. We love the suite & the finishes are even more beautiful than anticipated.

DRemodeling completely remodeled a bathroom for us and is now in the process of remodeling a second bathroom in our home. They worked closely with us in designing the bathrooms and selecting supplies, and the workmanship of its carpenter, electrician and tile installer was of the highest quality.
