I attempted to move my deposit into another rental after our party size decreased. They would not allow me to move the deposit into another rental.

We had to cancel the trip and they kept the deposit.

We have come now on 3 separate occasions to spend time with seasonal family. We have always liked drummer boy in the past, however this time things have changed. The waterslide & hot tub were closed for the season, our granddaughter was very upset not to use the slide. The pool behind office is in major disrepair and cause injuries to campers. Its a shame the waterfalls are gone.
We stayed in the cottages. They were clean enough for the stay, but plumbing could use some maintenance. 1 toilet clogged regularly, maybe something wrong with the pipes, the fridge was large & in charge for a stay of 4 people. That was great, but seemed over compensating, compared to The 2nd cottage had a very small dorm fridge for 8 people. So barely any space for cold items. Had to buy coolers to accommodate food & drinks for the crew. A larger fridge would be ideal for more people in cottage than for small crew cottage a dorm fridge would be more suitable. Cottage 6 had an amazing mattress, but cottage 4 had the worst. The floor would be more comfortable. Needless to say we did not sleep well and had body aches for our whole stay. Some cottages have no parking for your vehicle, so I feel it forces you to rent a golf cart to get around when it should be choice. You have to park you vehicle far from your sight which is incredibly inconvenient. Some areas around the cottages with no car parking space can be cleared out to make room for your vehicle.
Some rules regarding pets are not enforced. A large dog of 3 dogs jumped fencing clearly designed for 5lbs dogs not 50lb or larger, not secured with a leash & no owner on site came after my granddaughter walking our dog. Thankfully no dog fights ensued, but my granddaughter was traumatized by the incident thinking a fight was about to happen. Due to no trust in pet owners being responsible she can no longer walk our dogs here alone. Sight 19. Yup i just threw the owner under the bus. The activities are fun, but could use more creative thinking considering the cost of nightly stays. I gave 5 starts for the employee, always very gracious and accommodating to camper’s needs. Thank you for that. The rest i gave low stars for maintenance.

So they won't allow peoole w dui offenses to stay at their campground. Yet, they allow people to drink n drive running round on their golf carts. Odd!

AVOID! You have been warned! We stayed here once last month. This place is essentially a trailer park. This place is not maintained or cleaned much. Sites are tight and not picked up or mowed much. The “LOCALS” are not nice living within the compound. Very Expensive for the quality. I’m all for paying good money for a nice campground but this one is not worth the money. The pools are dirty and water slide is not working. WIFI is not free and for the price it is very slow.

We were considering Drummer Boy Campground to place our RV. However, this place is OVER priced. Seems it's more about $$$ then anything else. The cost of this campground is NOT worth the "view", needs a lot of updating. The rates for a seasonal camper is ridiculous to say the least. I've heard complaints about the increased rates and a lot of seasonal campers have or will be leaving. Sadly though Drummer Boy doesn't seems to care.

This stay was NOT worth the money at all.we spent $1,000 for a pool and fishing.activities were listed on the website but found out when we got here that they were only on weekends. (which was not mentioned on the website). Website also mentioned a billiard table, but staff said they never had one. Once we got here, staff were not very welcoming.answers were very short considering this was our first time here.the shower in the cabin had bugs in it.found two spiders. Bunk mattresses were EXTREMELY uncomfortable, tossing and turning all night. My sister found a can of tabaco underneath her mattress, so that goes to show that they don’t clean very well. Website said there was live entertainment yet there was none. Said there was a snack stand, there was none. There is nothing to do other than fishing and swimming in a pool. Definitely not worth spending $1,000.

Wish we had looked at reviews 1st. Been coming here for over 30 years, but haven't been here in a few years since it was sold. Nothing has been done to maintain the property or buildings. It had to be cleaned before we could even bring our stuff in. The floor in the bathroom is rotted through, there is seating for 3 people for a 3 bedroom cabin and no a/c in the 3 bedrooms. There is not enough light to see inside or cook so we had to go get lighting from home to bring along. The entire campground smells like raw sewage and the slide and hot tub are still closed. There is caution tape around with nasty water in the hot tub. The campground should charge appropriate prices for these conditions, but they are charging prices appropriate for a camping resort. Definitely will not return until improvements are made.

We really enjoyed the campground, the closeness to everything in town, the amenities, and everything it offered (food trucks are a great idea). We were however, VERY disappointed in the shower house on the main entrance road. Bathrooms behind weren’t bad but the shower house up front were just awful. They were so dirty and small in the stall that we were afraid to touch the walls or curtain due to the amount of mold everywhere (we wished we had our own bottle of bleach to spray everything down). We were afraid to sit on the toilet and there were no seat covers (good thing we at least travel with Clorox bleach wipes). A couple of the seats were very wobbly and one had feces smeared on it and it took 24hrs to get cleaned. When we were checking out, we mentioned it to staff and the only response we got was that it was scheduled for remodeling. Very unacceptable. We’ve been traveling around camping this summer (4th place) and this one by far has been the worst! Our site on Custers Circle was a nice spot but not very level and I don’t know how many times we tripped over roots and tree stumps. Sure glad no one got hurt though. Glad this will be our last trip to Gettysburg.

This campground was definitely the worst we've ever stayed at in this price range. We paid around $165.00 per night for a supposedly premium pull-through site. However, only about 2/3 of the site was level, and it was also quite narrow. To make matters worse, the site was covered in pea gravel and weeds.

We chose this campground because their photos showcased various amenities that we thought our grandkids would enjoy. Unfortunately, the water slide, hot tub, and snack bar were all closed during our stay. Additionally, the pools were cloudy and uninviting. Even the playgrounds had very little to offer.
To make matters worse, the dumpsters on the premises were overflowing and emitted a foul smell. We were relieved that our site wasn't located close to them. The only positive aspect of this campground was the friendly staff they had.

In summary, considering the price we paid, this campground was a major disappointment. The site conditions, lack of amenities, and unsightly surroundings made for an unpleasant experience. The only redeeming quality was the courteous staff.

We stayed here for a last minute family reunion. The spot we got was just large enough for our Shamrock 235S and GMC 2500. More than half the campground are seasonal sites.

The staff was friendly and the sites in good condition. The pools were clean (the hot tub was out of service due to a broken pipe and water slide closed because they could not get a lifeguard.) The WiFi was managed by a 3rd party and terrible.

We'll definitely stay here again when we return.

Staff was helpful and friendly and Cottage #9 was clean and well kept. I rate it 4.5 stars. Would have.been 5 Stars if the sofa and chair weren't so uncomfortable. All in All great campground, great amenities, clean. Folks were friendly. Great Value for renting cottages. Thank You Drummer Boy Campground

We have had a camper since 2008. We came for the battle anniversary. Been all over this great country and the world. This is by far the worst and most expensive campground we have ever stayed at. $100+ a night (during the week!) No free internet, no paved pad, water slide broke (all week), hot top broke (all week), pool dirty (all week), site smelt like sewage (all week). Interstate noise (all the time) We felt like we were in a prison, because there are cameras everywhere. Because of the time shares, it is more of a trailer park now. Just make it a trailer park and stop trapping campers into staying here. If I had it to do again, I honestly would have stayed in the Walmart parking lot and just came up for the day. Gettysburg is really safe and they have the nicest little Walmart in the USA. For you "normal" campers on an average everyday American family budget, PLEASE stay away from this place. I would not complain one bit if it were your normal $50-$70 price range.

A very busy campsite with a lot of noise. In any case, from the traffic on the main road where the campsite is located. But also from the golf carts that drive back and forth as if it were a playground.
The toilet blocks are definitely not clean. The camper was crooked. And all this for an amount of 140 dollars. It was the most expensive campsite of our 3 weeks holiday and at the same time the worst.
I want to end on a positive note: instead of the mandatory 2 consecutive nights, we were also allowed to book 1 night exceptionally. Happy. We were glad to leave.
