Dunmore Inn

SCARY! Like Bates motel scary! Upon arrival, we were grilled about smoking in the room (we don’t smoke AT ALL ANYWAY) hence why we booked a NON SMOKING ROOM LOL! We checked in 8pm, woke up in the morning went to grab a coffee 7am as we pulled back up to the place, (less than 45min later) the 2 owners were scurrying out of our room, with a vacuum (mind you, there was NO CARPET), I started walking towards them, they bolted lol, i said excuse me, hello, excuse me what were you doing in my room? They immediately got defensive and said, it’s their right to go into any room they want. Point is, they waited for our car to leave, then entered our room snooping. I’m not sure if they thought we were smoking or what BUT, TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE INVASION OF PRIVACY.

Very friendly staff. Very clean comfortable room. Park just outside your door. (I love motels for this very reason) Everything looked like new. This motel is very well maintained inside and out. The room has a microwave and fridge and a 40" TV on the wall with lots of channels. A short drive from stores and restaurants. My wife and I were very pleased and would be happy to stay here again when passing through Scranton.

My wife and I have stayed here twice and found the staff pleasant and helpful. We have never found a nicer place to stay for the price in all our travels in 50 states. Our rooms have been spotless.no offensive or musty smells.and the furnishing are relatively new and the mattresses comfortable. They have done a good job updating an old property near 2 interstates. We will definitely stay again when in the Scranton area.

The owners are so friendly. I always choose this hotel when traveling for school. There is plenty of food options around.

I recently stayed at the Dunmore Inn and had a wonderful experience. The room was cozy and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, always willing to go the extra mile to make sure my stay was perfect. The location was also great, with plenty of local attractions and dining options nearby. I highly recommend the Dunmore Inn to anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable stay without paying too much.

I had a pleasant stay.

I wasn't paying attention to the booking and missed the $50 cash deposit. I see that in the booking now. There was an ATM in the office, but the (owner?) at the front desk kindly accepted (and later returned) the $48 cash I had on hand.

Asked her about the deposit, and she said some folks think vaping in the room isn't against the "no smoking in the room" policy

I loved everything the owners were really nice. 10/10 would stay again. Great water pressure just took a minute to heat up comfy beds room was a little big but literally perfect for my husband and I. We had an amazing time!

Functional stay for a good price. Inside rooms very clean and remodeled. Outside not much to look at, but convenient to everything in the area

We only stayed one night, as we were traveling through. I would HIGHLY recommend. You can't go wrong for a super clean room for the price!

We arrived for a quick stop over (1 night). This place was very clean and newly renovated. Owners were great and very helpful. Definitely would recommend this place to stay at. Thank you for accommodating us.

The Dunmore Inn was a wonderful place to stay! A lot of time and energy has been spent renovating rooms, and our room was beautiful, clean, inviting and cozy. The owners were delightful, helpful and very welcoming. We really enjoyed the room and our stay - you will feel the same way guaranteed. Thank you again!

Just needed a place to sleep for one night while on a road trip. The room was clean, quiet, had good internet and A/C, small fridge and microwave, king sized bed was reasonably comfortable.

The room was EXCEPTIONALLY clean. The bed was very comfortable. We were only staying one night so it was more than adequate.

I thought the Dunmore inn was a gem of a place. Simple yet elegant with everything I needed for a restful stay. The receptionist which I believe was the owner was very pleasant and always concerned with my needs. I will definitely stay here again when I’m in the areas.
