50% of my first floor had existing 15+/- year hardwood floors. The remaining was carpet and cheap flooring. I wanted hardwoods throughout, but was concerned if it would look seamless. Jim, owner of East Penn Hardwoods, came to my house and explained the process fully—how prepare, what to expect, how they would do the job, etc. They installed new hardwood floors, sanded the existing, and finished all the same to match. They even stained custom vent covers to match. They floors look absolutely amazing. The team at East Penn was on-time, very professional, and knew exactly what needed to be done to get the job done. Never a doubt they were the best choice. Highly recommend!

Side note: the moving company I hired accidentally scratched the floor moving the fridge back in. This was NOT an east Penn flooring problem. I called Jim for advice. The next day a crew showed up and fixed the scratch.

Recently purchased a 50 year old home with original hardwood throughout. The hardwood floors were previously covered with carpet which was removed to expose floors that were in good condition however needed a major refresh. I received numerous estimates and after Jim visited my property I knew East Penn would be my first choice as long as the price was competitive. Jim showed up right on time, and was extremely professional and knowledgeable. When I got my estimate not only was the price competitive, it was the best estimate I received! Due to my circumstances Jim was able to get his crew started almost immediately and they finished the project promptly and efficiently with excellent communication throughout. I could not be more happy with the results, the floors are stunning and exactly what my wife and I wanted. I have had family visit to see the change and have had multiple members think that we actually had the floors replaced, when I tell them that they were just sanded and refinished they were shocked! I cannot recommend East Penn Hardwood enough! Jim and crew are extremely professional and they are masters of their craft!

Called Cookie and she had Jim stop out in a couple days. They completed the job in a timely fashion and beat the company I used for decades by weeks on the schedule and a grand in price. Very satisfied with Cookie, Jim and the crew!

East Penn Flooring is wonderful, from start to finish, the crew was fantastic, my living room, dining and hall look great. Wouldn't trust anybody else for hardwood flooring. Thank you Jim.

I ended up not using their services because my wife and I would really like to try and use a no VOC product. But anyone not worried about that would be wise to choose Jim and East Penn Hardwood.
They were super professional, on time, and very thorough.

This is a fantastic company to go with. We got our floors done back in Sept 2022. We got LVP installed. They tore up all the old flooring and disposed of it. We had carpet, old hardwood, and linoleum flooring on the 1st level. They installed new subflooring and then installed the new floors. It looked great after install.

February 2023:
We noticed three things after living with the floor for about 5 months. 2 areas of the flooring separated just a little. I would chalk this up to expansion due to the cold. The other one was a bigger issue but was due to a supplier defect on the subfloor. East Penn was not responsible for it. I contacted Jim and Mark about it and they came out to look at it right away. They inspected it and a few days later they sent out a crew to work on it. They got it all fixed in about 2.5 hrs. I did not get charged and they were extremely friendly throughout the whole situation. This is what makes them a fantastic company. Company's that stand behind their product and service is what you should go for. There is no point in going with a company that installs the floor but doesn't assist you when situations happen or if they make it a hassle to fix. I would definitely recommend.
