I've been going to this office for years and it just goes from bad to worse. First if all, they NEVER answer the phone. Forget to fill important prescriptions. Cancel your appointments the day of. I'm so so sick of it.

This review is for Dr Gary Ritten only. All of the staff I’ve interacted with at EMC has been phenomenal.
If I could leave zero stars I would. I do not recommend this doctor at all. I’ve had many issues over the last few years that I had been a patient of Dr Ritten. He has zero compassion, zero concern, did not listen to how I was feeling or take any of my concerns into consideration. He acted offended when I stood up for my concerns. My exams were always horrifically painful and frankly traumatic. This guy should not be a gynocologist.

Went today for some procedures and was very impressed with the professionalism. The staff was friendly and made me feel very comfortable although I was extremely nervous.i would highly recommend them. Especially Dr. Ritten and his staff!

Great doctor but the staff is sometimes unclear and quite rude when they don't think you can hear (rose)

I have gone to east side medical on and off for about 10 years. I would find a doctor that actually cared & tried to help, and then they ended up leaving. With the doctor gone I would get scheduled with doctors that just didn’t seem to like their job or didn’t believe me even with years and years of documentation.

In September 2021 I had been admitted to the hospital because my whole right arm was paralyzed. It was often that my hands would go numb, but in this case it wasn’t going away. Once I was discharged from the hospital I was directed to see a neurologist. In the mean time I also needed to follow up with a family doctor which I no longer had. I knew east side medical would get me in. Thank God there was a new doctor that took me on as a patient. My neurologist had no interest in actually trying to get me to recover and only requested to see me every six months. She gave me Zero hope that I would get a full or any recovery. Dr Carter took an extreme interest in my medical condition. He went above and beyond to research what I had going on. He printed me pages of things to try and do for my recovery and not to mention he he had me frequently rescheduling to document any recovery I was getting. He’s been so kind, and it is so refreshing when a doctor walks into the room and knows your name and medical history! He’s honestly been the most caring doctor I have ever been seen by! Most dread going to the doctors but I honestly look forward to my next appointment because I know my recovery is being assisted and documented by someone that actually cares about the well being of their patients. If I ever get back to living my normal life I owe all of the progress of recovery to him. THANK YOU DR. CARTER, you are making this whole situation a little less stressful for me. Hopefully at the end of this I’ll be able to give you a “real high five”!

Literally The WORST Place To Go If You've Had Surgery OR Have Severe Pain! I Crushed My Hand At Work And They Refused To Give Me Medication To Treat My Broken/Crushed Hand. Instead They Told Me To See The Surgeon That Did The Surgery. These So Called "Doctors" Are More Like Pediatricians. There's No Way These People Actually Treat And Help ADULTS. They Gave Me A Bunch Of Prescriptions That I Can Literally Purchase Over The Counter. So Yeah They're Either Just Idiots Or Just Plain Ol Ignorant

This is one of the most professional and outstanding Doctors Office in Erie I've ever been to. I've been going to them for 25years+ and have gotten great results. With my health and kept me on task with my daily life routine. Selina is one of the front desk lady's has a great outgoing personality and awesome work ethic. She always calls and reminds me of my appointments ahead of time. Also the fact that she can speak two languages helps out so much with my Spanish family members and she's able to translate for further treatment there. A very welcoming place for everyone and there family.
Thank you Eastside medical center/Lecom.

This office has the worse receptionist I have ever experienced at a doctor's office. They don't pick up the phone. When they do pick up they act like they don't want to help you. Also they put you on hold and a patient is having a need for a emergency appointment. Dr Kalata needs new receptionist or he will be losing patients.

My girl was calling the office about a script she needs for her heart. She called her pharmacy to see if was ready and it wasn't. Called Eastside medical first got put on hold for 20 minutes. Called back the phone just rang and rang. She has to take these pills twice a day I'm getting upset and I'm ready to go into the office and get petty call and talk to whomever is in charge and their boss

The most patient - oriented office I have ever been to. The amount of care the staff puts in reflects in the personalities of the individuals that work in the office.

I couldn't have picked a better place for my externship! Not only have I been a patient since I was born but I'm blessed to be apart of the staff and what a wonderful and rewarding experience it has been.

Not even 1 star! How about a 72 year old seen at ER for a thoracic spine fracture gets told she cant be seen by doctor because they are all booked up. The ER paper clearly states she is to be seen in 4 days. The receptionist didnt even consult a doctor she was too concerned about doctors not prescribing narcotics. She did not do her job and should not be in a field of helping people! Paper says she is to be seen with in 4 days! She should be fired!

I would give them less but 1 star is the lowest it goes. Don’t EVER attempt to call for appointment. It’s like calling for unemployment during COVID. You might get luckier with unemployment. I never even got thru the phones to set up an appointment. I’m switching doctors offices immediately
