EGStoltzfus has created a fantastic Design Center that is staffed by Stephanie and Katie. Both are highly skilled, creative professionals who assist clients through all aspects of planning the design of a new home. The process that they led us through was efficient and timely and we felt that we had several selections to choose from for each room in our new home. The sample variety and displays really helped make us feel like we know what we will be getting when the home is completed. We highly recommend Stephanie and Katie, and the entire EGStoltzfus team!

We built a home with EG Stoltzfus and if I could give negative stars I would. From the moment we signed a contract to purchase we were met with questionable consumer business practices from telling us things were included in the price to hiding the prices for items when we went to the design studio. Very few options to choose from in the design studio. They forgot to subtract our 10,000 discount for using our lender and then when we realized it and wanted to get more options, we’re told no. I had to continually ask to speak to their counsel. Now that we are in the house, materials are cheap- the drywall will mark with a fingernail, the vinyl siding pops like popcorn when it is windy. Our upstairs floor is slanted and ceiling crooked. Every neighbor here tells horror stories. They finally did landscaping and some plants are dead. Birds nesting in the bathroom vents. My last house I lived in for 20 years with no issues. Have only been here since December. Metal sticks out on porch where the stone was installed. Customer service is non-existent. Horrible horrible experience. I would not be surprised if I have to litigate to get them to fix the crooked floor and ceiling upstairs. They say a stud must have shrunk and they are waiting to see how much worse it will get before they do anything. Oh, garage floor already cracked. I am sure I could add bad things to this review everyday. Can’t believe what a horrible experience. And I am not alone. All of the new neighbors express their frustrations and feelings of helplessness at dealing with this company. Biggest mistake of my life. Don’t make it one of yours.

I had a home built with this company. Although there have been no major construction issues, I cannot say my neighbors have had the same experience. Neighbors have moved in only to have the entirety of their plumbing replaced, due to major leaks in the home.

They almost entirely use subcontractors to do the work, and our street alone, they do not provide access to the residents to their homes while construction is ongoing. This happens routinely and the workers laugh about it.

They also allow future residents to inspect and monitor their construction progress, resulting in OSHA fines for individuals they hire, as well as allowing future residents to bring in and perform their own inspections of the property on a routine basis as construction has continued.

All of this is in addition to the complete lack of professionalism shown by their workers, both the subcontractors and their own employees, who have treated our home as an ongoing construction site even though we have lived there for over a year. Trucks frequently load and unload onto the lawn, when confronted and asked to move, the worker parked in front out our driveway, blocking mail delivery. This has continued as their workers come and go into the house, ruining our newly planted seedlings on the lawn and grass (needed due to the cheap quality seeding performed). This has occurred across the board with their team members. When notified of these issues, the Customer service manager (Michael Morrow) chose to challenge me to document the damage and therefore hinting that a legal process would need to be initiated to resolve the ongoing issues caused by their inability to respect our adjacent property.
