The baked goods are amazing but, the women behind the counter are very crabby! Be sure you know what you want ahead of time or.they get annoyed.

Wow wow and super wow I love this Bakery Mary Ann, Kathy were so friendly and helpful made my experience so amazing now to the goodies the best cookies I have ever had in Pennsylvania I’m On my way! As I’m writing this review Oatmeal raisin cookies here I come.

My nephew's birthday cake was ridiculously over priced and 100% not worth the money. The cake did not match the picture well and I could've iced it better myself. My sister and I had to scramble around the day of the party to fix the ugly cake by buying other decorations for it. Neither the cupcakes or cake tasted good. When my sister complained, she only got a $55 refund (the 2 tier cake cost was $250 plus whatever they charged her for the cupcakes). I will definitely not recommend this bakery for cakes. Better off going to Weis.

Living in Northampton we grew up on Egypt stores bakeries Italian bread it's still good and it always will be family-owned for like 90 years. Rolls and baked goods especially the custard filled Donuts are out of sight

Their cream donuts are heaven and addicting. The cream inside is not too sweet or overbearing it is perfect just the way it is. Also their cupcakes are really good too.

Ordered a birthday cake for my son and got personal, friendly, and attentive service from Marianne (?) In addition to taking my order over the phone, she delivered the cake personally. Great service isn’t dead after all. It’s very much alive at this wonderful bakery.

Egypt Star Bakery by far the #1 Bakery in our area for DECADES! The line was immense the Saturday before Easter but Maryann and the staff kept it moving without one hiccup! Thank Beth and Les, and Maryann and the staff at the Whitehall Egypt Star Bakery!

As it has always been, Egypt Star is exactly that, a Star! Due to the ice storm overnight, I thought I would surely miss out on Fastnacht Day for the very first time. I thought I would take my chances and call them at the last minute, 6: 30 am.a lovely lady answered and when I asked her if there were any Fastnacht's left, she gave me a resounding Surrrrre! She tucked away 2 dozen for me to pick up later in the morning to take for my co-workers, and a dozen for my Family after work.when I need a cake for something that just popped up, I can always count on them to have fresh baked cakes ready to go.and we won't even start on the cookies selection. ️️️

Prices are quite good. Donuts are definitely better than Dunkin Donuts, so come here for that. I was not impressed with their breads though. I also got an apple cinnamon roll which was just ok.

I ordered a cake for my son's 6th birthday and ordered it for a Monday. I was a bit surprised at how unhappy they seemed while ordering, but figured they must've been having a bad day. We were even more surprised when they called us on Saturday afternoon to tell us that it was ready for pickup. When we told them it was the wrong day, they groaned and told us that they would remake it.

Well, today is the day of and, after slicing into the cake, it's clear that it was left sitting for a couple of days and wasn't remade. Either that or the cake was poorly baked because it is incredibly tough and crumbly. It's hard to the touch, even in the very center. Either way, I think it's kind of egregious.

I leave more than one star because the decoration was cute and the price was reasonable, but everybody here is terribly rude and their baked goods are mediocre at best.

This is the third time we went all the way up there to get Vienna bread by the time we got home the bread was so hard I think they keep their bread from the day before I don't think I will be returning there for bread unless they can figure out a way to give customers fresh hot bread and I got there at 10: 00 a.m. There was no reason for that to be stale

I would patronize this bakery more often as my wife and in-law's love the cream puffs and donuts. However most of the time a few ladies behind the counter are rude and if you asked too many questions they seemed to get annoyed. One time I ordered a birthday cake and asked one of the ladies to add a Happy Birthday message on the cake and her response was that its not her job to do the message and walked away to back of bakery. It wasn't until a much kinder lady who finished taking care of another customer asked me what I needed and more than gladly did the message on the cake. It is not all the ladies but there is a few that treat customers like dirt and that is why I rarely go and usually patronize a bakery up off 329 in Coplay as they treat their customer's great and never had a bad experience with anybody behind the counter

The rye bread was highly recommended and I really enjoyed it after my last trip to PA. I decided to get it again on my way back to NYC. Also got some doughnuts, which are excellent. It's hard to find decent doughnuts these days. Dunkin donuts are not very good and the fancy doughnut shops in NY are just cake with fancy decorations
