Indian Restaurant Ekta reviews
17Hands down the best paneer tikka masala I’ve had. Don’t leave this earth without trying it.
We ordered last night from this place. Everything was below than average. Specially Biryani didn't taste like Biryani AT ALL. Will never be eating or ordering from any EKTA again.
I love the food here, authentic indian food.extra spicy is hot even for indians, so b careful when choosing spice levels.reasonable priced as compared to other Indian restaurants in the area.highly recommend it
Had an absolute delicious meal with such amazing service! The staff was so kind and very gracious! 10/10 will come back here!
Was less than impressed. Have never wrote a review before. Food was okay, at best. Pretty average (nothing spectacular). Beware of going here since I had abdominal distress questionable food poisoning. Would not recommend. Will not go back- ever.
Food was disappointing. Tasted sweet (not in a good way). Definitely not flavorful Indian flavors! (Had the chicken korma and lamb biryani).
This is the absolute best Indian food in a restaurant that I have had! Specifically referring to their Malai Kofta and Paneer Tikka Masala (I usually get it medium spicy or spicy depending on what I’m feeling that day). I have been to many Indian restaurants such as Indeblue in Philly, Rasika in DC, ghee kitchen in Miami, and countless others over the years, and I always compare the malai kofta and paneer tikka I eat elsewhere to ekta’s! Their onion Bhaji is also tasty! I have driven an hour at times to pick up food or eat here, I have also frozen it to take to another state so other people can eat it. The taste and quality is ALWAYS CONSISTENT, and always good. If I were to die tomorrow, I would want to eat their malai kofta and paneer tikka masala as my last meal. Kudos to the chef and everyone else involved, I love ekta!
When food is this bad, then it is clear that the establishment does not have any passion left in them. Not even close to Indian food. It's a disgrace that such food is being peddled.
The bad quality of Oil can easily be made out from the tandoori dishes. The quality and preparation of each dish that I ordered was horrendous.
Understandably, the area does not have any exceptional Indian cuisine options, but Ekta is giving Indian food a bad name.
Never do I do such a review, but this is playing with health.
Ordered 6 Dishes - went to pickup
Indian (so more than just hurt)
No more dining in. Take out or delivery only. I would stick with the chicken or vegetarian dishes myself.
Over 6 months, we tried ekta out multiple times but it disappointed frequently (we loved the one in center city). After receiving badly miscooked food today, we are done trying.
I would give a negative review if I could. Ordered only starters - a chilli chicken, panner tikka and raseela kebab. The chicken hurt my teeth, there were literally 3 pieces of raw super dry panner and 3 pieces of something that looks like a kebab with no taste. Heavily disappointed.
Ordered from Ekta Bryn Mawr today. We ordered Tandoor dishes. I think, it’s the worst Tandoori chicken I’ve tasted!
The meat was rubbery & dry. The vegetables (mostly huge chunks of broccoli’s) were charred. The takeaway service was subpar & dishes grossly overpriced.
Being an Indian myself I am ashamed to call it Indian food. Stay away!
I ordered take out from Ekta on Thursday night! Based in Bryn Mawr, they are conveniently located to order and collect.
Positives: Food was hot and ready as promised. The restaurant staff were polite, service was good! I enjoyed the Samosa and chutneys.
Opportunities: The chicken in both the Vindaloo and Jalfrezi was over cooked. The gravies tasted similar, the flavor profiles didn’t differentiate enough. Perhaps my biggest disappointment though was the Onion Bhaji. I LOVE Bhaji, these were dry and could have had more Onion and less flour (binding).
Would I eat at Ekta again? Yes! But if I have time, I’ll drive down to 1st Indian Kitchen.
The Paneer methi malai curry was good but appetizers portion was too small like literally 4 cauliflower pieces in gobi Manchurian but the main course was good in quantity n tasty too.
Some great Indian cuisine here. Mango Lassi is always something to look forward to. Personally when it comes to Indian, I always get Chicken Tikka Masala because it's just too good. Big fan of this place
THE ONLY PLACE I ORDER INDIAN FOOD. Everything just taste fresh and full of flavor! Thank you!
Amazing food, flavors. Can't go wrong with any dish. It's like an Indian grandmother is creating her homemade dishes herself back in the Kitchen.
