Ekta Indian Cuisine, Philadelphia PA

Visited Etka Indian Restaurant with friends and had a satiable experience. The ambiance, service, and especially the food were all quality and well priced. A recommended-visit for anyone craving authentic Indian food.

Got not one but TWO pieces of hair in my food. Needless to say, it ended up in trash. Not sure how unsanitary their kitchen staff might be, I’m definitely not ordering from them again!

Food was filling and I like what I order. It was quite empty for the evening time but they also close very early. I think it is a good place to try, I might come back for butter chicken It was sweet.

No more buffet greeted by a mean East Asian dude…. What? I’ll make sure to not come back again!

This place has THE BEST korma out of all the Indian restaurants I have tried. I have been to 5 others and the others are not even close to Ektas's taste. My favorite order is the chicken korma, laccha paratha and the malai seekh kabob.omg it's all so good. I want to try other dishes but I'm so hooked on this order. I have tried the samosa chat and it is good when it's not served cold. Oh I also tasted the onion bhaji that is delicious as well. I love this place. I just wish they add pani puri and dosa to the menu so that I can stop having to go to 2 different restaurants to get all of my favorite Indian foods.

I love Ekta! I enjoyed their bhindi masala, samosa chat, and lamb rogan josh! Highly recommend!

Service: I ordered delivery via a third-party app. My order was made within 20 minutes of placement and the food was delivered shortly after. I appreciated the secure packaging they used for the food!

Food: This restaurant is one of my go-to’s when I want a rich, savory, fresh meal. I ordered classic Lamb Rogan Josh which had a great, tomato-y flavor; Vegetable Samosas, which are pretty generous in size; and the Goan Curry Fish to try something new. I loved the flavors of Lamb Rogan Josh the most and appreciate their lamb portioning.

Tips: The packaging looks small, but this food can last for days if you don’t mind leftovers!

Food was ok at best. Aloo Papdi chat had some flavor and was nice but other items ordered (veg momos, paneer kadai, cheese naan & garlic naan) were not too good. The momos had some bland filling in them. Paneer kadai was watery and lacked flavor, the paneer was also tough and rubbery.

Service is the biggest area of improvement. The waiter was taken aback when I asked for another set of cutlery after finishing my appetizers- made a face and even asked me to keep the cutlery we have. Didn’t even scan the room or check if anybody wanted to order anything after receiving their food.

I don’t think I’ll go back again, to be honest.
