El Vallarta Mexican Restaurant & Cantina, Hermitage PA

One of the worst experiences ever. Save your time and money and go to La Isla! The service was awful. Chips were just out of a bag. Salsa has no taste. Had to ask multiple times for things. I thought maybe he couldn’t understand English very well… but he would repeat everything back to me so he obviously understood. Some people were charged for multiple pops. Other people somehow had free refills. He got almost every order wrong also! When he went to hand me my card back, he was not paying attention and my card went right under the table. Luckily I saw it. Then he lost my friends card completely. Luckily he found it somewhere after we explained we were upset. Absolutely ridiculous! Barely even saw him asking how things were and etc.
I will never be going there again. I have enough stress trying to make sure the kiddos are taken care of and I don’t have time to help my waiter also.

I understand people have bad days, but other people could have helped him out. They were all just on their phones. There was only 3 other booths in the entire restaurant that had people in them.

This is one of the best restaurants you can go to in town. Very friendly, professional and very clean. I've never had an issue picking up a doordash order from them either.

Food was good, but our server seemed distracted & unable to serve the orders to the correct people. Otherwise it was a nice atmosphere for a large group such as ours, & for smaller families also. Very clean & friendly workers. The Chimichongas & rice were good, was told the vegetarian dinner was good.

Above average, (for the area), Mexican restaurant. I ordered the fajitas Parrillada, (grilled everything topped with cheese). It was very good. I asked for corn instead of the flour tortillas. The margarita was good but I would suggest using kosher salt on the rim instead of table salt. It would also be better with another 1/2 - 1 oz of tequila. Now tequila isn't that expensive. It would cost less than 50 cents and would cut the sweetness. (Their margaritas are on the sweet side). My final suggestion would be that they make their own tortilla chips. Yes I know it's a pain but they are so much better than the Cisco bought ones and don't cost any more to make. It could be a signature of the restaurant and people would flock there for them. Okay. I don't normally make so many suggestions on how to make things better but this is a Mexican restaurant in Pennsylvania and I live in southern California. Final suggestion.pay the extra few dollars a month so we don't have to listen to advertisements in the background music.

The food was delicious and our server, Brian, was very attentive and personable. He made our dining experience enjoyable.

I ordered takeout.

$15 for ACP with no cheese.

$5 for cheese dip that is barely half full and runny. Either that or this was for my ACP and you forgot the additional.

You're out of your minds to be charging these prices when we can order the same food from 2 other locations for about 30-40% cheeper.

$14 for 3 beef tacos that you forgot put these cheese on.

Ridiculous

The menu isn't friendly to people with allergies or food intolerances and then they want to blame it on you and not apologize when people are having a medical emergency. My husband had to go to the hospital.

Charged us for extra sour cream and queso that we never got, told us they would fix it, and then charged us for it anyway.

Absolutely never again.

Very tasty Mexican food! Of course it does not compare if you come to Jalisco and eat it here

It was very nice. The food and margaritas were great. The food didn't take long but it was early in the day. I definitely recommend.

Wow, we found our go to Mexican restaurant in the area. Everything tasted great. This is quality Mexican food.

Booth seat was in very bad shape.
Asked for chicken got beef.
Asked for queso did not get till meals came.
Good in a pinch

We have been there many times and it has always been good. If you like spicy salsa just ask for it, they have an amazing one they will bring out! Keeps me coming back. Very friendly staff and the price is good.

I have been a recurring costumer here the past year I’ve lived in the hermitage area. I just left the restaurant a few moments ago after a FINGER NAIL was in my rice. This just shows the employees lack of cleanliness and food safety. Who bites their finger nails while preparing food? Absolutely disgusting.

The manager tried to deny it was a finger nail as we showed it to him when it was clear it was even the waitress was mortified.

So eat here if you want to find a surprise in your dinner like nails or hair or etc

As far as Mexican food out north east this is the best I've tried so far. It's still not like the Mexican food in Texas and Midwest.
