Beautiful view of the city of Pittsburgh. When I visit friends or family from another city I always try to take them here.

Man this view is breathtaking you can see everything. It's worth the drive and the plane ride.

Small park but with an amazing view. For the view only it’s definitely worth. In case you wanna go for a run or something, then don’t come here, it’s just too small.
There is a nice playground for kids, with slides and swing.

Great panoramic views of the city. The drive up is a bit dizzying if you have height phobias.

Went here to view the firework for the fourth of July. Definitely crowded during that time but so beautiful with a perfect view!

My daughter and I watched the fireworks on July 4th from up here. Not only did we have a great view of the city’s fireworks, we could also see about 10 other firework displays on the horizon.

My favorite regional park, tucked away and less traveled than the others. Unparalleled views of downtown and the west end on trails wrapping around the Mount and Duquesne Heights. A patchwork of trails, greenways and woods and gardens and old mining streams. Erosion continues, however, as ill-advised development projects degrade upland habitat and tear down trees. A recent landslide erased a section of trail from Bigbee street to Grandview Park, and restoring that will be a huge project for the city. The PGH Parks Conservancy works hard in the entry gardens and trailheads, as well as restoration areas like the Sycamore Saddle and Bigbee Field. Check out the deer enclosures at Grandview Park or Greenleaf Street, where they are bringing back important understory and canopy trees into the urban forest. So much to explore here! Finally, check out Anchor Green, a beautiful, ever-changing garden bursting with native and perennial plants.

If you're looking for a tranquil escape from the bustling city streets, Emerald View Park is the perfect retreat. Tucked away in the heart of the city, this park offers a beautiful blend of nature and urban vistas that will leave you mesmerized.

One of the standout features of Emerald View Park is its stunning panoramic views of Pittsburgh. Perched on the slopes of Mount Washington, the park provides breathtaking vistas of the city's skyline, three rivers, and the iconic bridges that connect the neighborhoods. Whether you visit during the day or at night when the city lights up, the views from the park are simply awe-inspiring.

The park boasts an extensive network of well-maintained trails, making it a haven for hikers and nature enthusiasts. From strolls to more challenging hikes, there's a trail for everyone, catering to various skill levels. As you explore the park's trails, you'll be surrounded by lush greenery, tall trees, and wildflowers, providing a refreshing respite from the urban jungle.

In addition to its natural beauty, Emerald View Park offers several amenities for visitors to enjoy. The park features picnic areas equipped with grills, making it an ideal spot for a family gathering or a casual picnic with friends. There are also playgrounds for children, providing a safe and fun environment for them to play and let their imaginations run wild.

One aspect that sets Emerald View Park apart is its historical significance. The park is home to several historic landmarks, including the iconic Grandview Avenue and the historic inclines that once transported residents up and down Mount Washington. Exploring these landmarks adds a layer of cultural richness to the park experience.

While Emerald View Park offers a serene escape, it's worth noting that its location on the slopes of Mount Washington means that some trails can be steep and challenging. Visitors with mobility issues or limited fitness might find certain parts of the park inaccessible. However, there are still areas and trails that are more accessible, providing options for everyone to enjoy.

Overall, Emerald View Park is a hidden gem in Pittsburgh that deserves more recognition. Its stunning views, well-maintained trails, and an array of amenities make it a fantastic destination for outdoor enthusiasts, families, and anyone seeking a peaceful respite amid the city.
