17Actually had Shrimp LoMein not listed. Awesome! Huge shrimp. One dinner is enough for 4 meals!
Best Chinese around- generous portions of meat in any dish and a delicious wonton soup. Staff is always polite, food is ready quick, and now online ordering makes it even better.
Went way down hill since the sister of the original owner took over.not the same at all. I ate general so there for 30 years I went and got some the other day and it was horrible: (why is it so hard to keep things the same I bet sells have went down definitely.they will be the next family business shut down complaining they dont have enough business to stay open and we will all know the real reason I cant be the only one that feels this way if you agree please leave a review
Great small business local spot in Hopewell. Always ready fast, quick delivery with one of the apps if you don't want to leave home, and food is always great with big portions. Love the vegetarian options on the menu too.
The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because I recently ordered a large amount of sushi and all of the rolls we had that contained cream cream were inedible. It was at least $20-$30 of sushi we couldn't eat because the cream cheese had gone sour. Luckily I had ordered more than we would eat and we still had a good dinner as everything else was delicious. I've never had a problem with their food before although the prices have gone up significantly so I expected much better than this. I hope it was just a one off and I also hope my daughter doesn't get sick because she ate two before she finally told me that something tasted "off" and I tried one.
The best moo goo gai pan I've ever had. So flavorful. Excellent spring rolls, too. The Singapore noodle with curry was superb and delicious! We will be ordering again for sure.
The shrimp was scorched and the fried Rice was overcooked and tasteless.
Horrible it did not taste authentic at all!
Yea I won't be back. I've ordered here before and had no issues. This time I went to order the perfect couple as we have in the past substituting chicken for shrimp. The man on the phone laughed and asked if I wanted all general tsos I said no? You've done chicken instead of shrimp in white sauce before so I don't understand the issue. He continued to laugh and said they don't do that. So I was like okay then why I have I recieved it before? I hung up since this was so hilarious to him. I called else where who happily did the switch. If they can't substitute chicken for shrimp in a relatively expensive item, then obviously you're using pre-made food and I'm not down with places that can't accommodate someone with a mild shrimp allergy. I won't be back, and considering they're one of the most expensive restaurants of this type in the area? Nah I'll pass every time.
Good food at a good price. I love their lunch menu. Their BBQ ribs and crabmeat Rangoons are the best around. I highly recommend this place.
3 Years ago, I called this the best Chinese in 20 miles, 5 stars. I watched over the last year as they went down hill. At this point, it was so disappointing, I didn't save what we didn't eat for leftovers. Same prices which are higher than elsewhere, but a massive drop in quality across everything we ordered. Note the staff was friendly.
Order by calling, the prices on their website are higher than the in-store menu. Food is good, but our vegetable egg rolls seem like they are not the same as we've had from here before. Hardly any filling in them.
I am disappointed with the changes at Empire Palace. They have gone to carry out only. However, when my husband picked up the order they don't even give you plastic forks! We live in WV but was in the area so stopped for lunch. Had to take it home to eat, a 40 minute drive. The quality of the food has dropped, and the price had gone up.
I see your answer to my review but couldn't figure out how else to respond. It apparently isn't a "one time" thing not to receive a fork in your takeout. The employee who waited on my husband told him you never hand out utensils! Maybe he was mistaken.or just did not want to bother since he had been paid. We have eaten at your establishment for over 20 years, so the quality of the food had nothing to do with the fact that we drove 40 minutes home. It has to do with the food itself! I do not like to give a negative review, but I was so disappointed this time I felt I needed to.
Friend burned himself drinking can of Sprite. Unaware of how this is possible. Would love full explanation from staff.
Only takeout no dine in soooo we didn't experience this place empty tables and chairs up too bad.
Absolutely wonderful people, great food and a great price. I’ve seen other reviews where they come off as rude, there’s just a little but of a language barrier. They went above and beyond for us
Good food no complaints, but it was a warm day! Walked in to order my husband was thirsty
Asked employee for some water, said he couldn’t give it to him. I couldn’t believe he said no. Husband is 84
They don’t have tap water or a paper, plastic cup? Very disappointed.
Food is good. Huge portions. I knocked 2 stars off because they don’t do substitutions or prepare sushi the way you like it. Which is a red flag! Meaning its not fresh and more than likely pre-made. If it was made fresh to order they would be able to add or substitute whatever you wanted. For instance when you order a hot meal something that has mushrooms and you don’t like shrooms you can tell them to leave it out. Fresh sushi bars are able to put whatever you want in them because they have the stuff to do it. Sushi to me is a delicacy, it’s expensive and I expect it to be fresh. The service men were nice though and their wonton soup was very good and flavorful.
