Enlighten Psychiatric Services, Lewistown PA

Everyone here is wonderful! I've been going to Enlighten for years and have never had a bad experience. Front staff members are always friendly and accommodating. The Physician Assistant I see is wonderful! I recommend this facility to everyone because I trust them and know they will do what's right for their patients!

Dr. Patel and all of the staff that work at the Lewistown location have always gone above and beyond to ensure the proper care for myself and for other members of our family. We highly recommend this office for any of your mental health/other needs. Mental health matters. You matter. Have a great day!

Our family have never had a negative experience at the office. From start to finish at an appointment—office staff that book appointments, therapists and physicians that care for our family, and all staff in between…the needs are acknowledged with proficiency. Emergency appointments are managed efficiently and medication concerns are addressed in a timely manner. And the staff exhibit compassion, understanding and empathy to the individual concerns. Will continue to work as a team with all Enlighten staff to ensure quality care for our family! Would highly recommend Enlighten Psychiatric Services as a provider for all of someone’s needs!

This service provides what we needed. Rachel takes the time to listen, analyze details, suggests solutions. Ashley also listens to our concerns and suggests solutions. All are always pleasant. The office staff has been polite, efficient and right on point. Dr. Patel joins in some sessions via zoom when needed. We are results-oriented and intend to continue with Enlighten so long as we are seeing good results.

These negative reviews are astounding to say the least! I have had nothing but extremely positive interactions with everyone in that office. Although hesitant to make an appointment at any psychiatric office to begin with, I landed on Enlighten and haven't looked back. They've been AMAZING! Again, nothing but positive things to say about the kindness and compassion these people show to they're clients.

Through no fault of her own, ride was late, She was late to her appointment. Instead of rescheduling they now have refused to see me. No humanity

I was hopeful about finding a new psychiatrist near to me after moving. Rachel and Dr. Patel were kind and nice to me, and I was willing to work with them on finding a new medication that worked for me. I’m extremely disappointed in the receptionist who took my call to make an appointment discussing my concerns about my new diagnosis. Dr Patel had asked me to ask those closest to me if they had noticed any key symptoms of my diagnosis and upon their answers of “no, ” I felt it was best to get a second appointment as soon as possible. When I explained this to the receptionist, she said: “Not to be rude, but your family didn’t go to school to be PHD’s and cannot say whether you have this diagnosis or not, as they are not professionals. ” While that is true, her tone was demeaning, and seeing as they are the closest to me and I did exactly as the doctor said, her response was, in fact, rude. I will not be returning here to continue my treatment. Instead of handling my concerns she talked down to me like I was a child. I hope no one else has this experience and that the professionalism in their receptionists is handled accordingly.

Appointment staff was very rude & unprofessional. When your in need of help & get treated like that is uncalled for. Completely ridiculous.

My two children have been going here for many years for medication and therapy and the staff and doctors have been nothing short of amazing! They have always worked with us as a family and if I needed anything they went above and beyond to help! They are friendly and caring! I always have and will recommend for anyone who needs these services.

I have been coming to their facility for about 2 years and I only have had good experiences. The staff has always been very helpful, accommodating, and respectful of my wishes. Each visit I have had I have felt very comfortable being there and I would recommend going there to anyone.

I've been going to Enlighten now for over 7 years and Dr. Patel and all of his staff, Sally, Chelsea, Suzanne and the others have been nothing but professional, friendly and extremely understanding. Reading some of the other reviews criticizing Dr. Patel and his staff only confirms that they're definitely in dire need of psychiatric help but that they need to find help elsewhere!

I have nothing but an outstanding review to make. I have had numerous foster and adopted children, teens and adults at Enlighten since they opened. We have worked with not only Dr. Patel, but all medication staff and therapists at one time or another. I have never seen a group more dedicated and understanding of the numerous issues we've come in the door with. I have brought in disruptive, loud and aggressive clients and the ENTIRE staff was wonderful in helping with each situation. Sally, the office manager, is both patient, kind and professional. I have had the pleasure of dealing with her in two mental health agencies. Each and every person shows respect, patience and consideration towards client needs. I have been in situations with difficult special needs individuals who either needed hospitalization or immediate medication changes. The entire staff worked to help get these individuals what they so desperately needed. Each person there has stood by me and made my job as a parent easier. These kids/adults have a better life because of the individuals at Enlighten. I want to thank each and every one of them. We'd be lost without this team! I have nothing short of gratitude and respect for them all.

Appointment staff are rude and unprofessional they frequently gave professional medical advice without the slightest of a clue, dictating the level of care a patient receives. Appointment staff could not even keep their appointment times straight and each time acted like it was an inconvenience to correct their mistake. I believe the worst one was the self appointed Office manager Sally. Sally was an absolute joke who not only had a problem with listening to patients when they clearly have valid concerns for the mistreatment of patients by the office staff. Dr. Patell encourages the poor attitudes and bias mistreatment of his patients.they were running a circus not a professional medical clinic. Absolute joke all of the support staff have clearly no training or any idea how to interacted with patients in that Office. I would give zero stars if it would allow. Again to reiterated Sally is an absolute zero and I will and suggest all patients begin filing formal grievances with the state medical boards and their insurance companies for the extremely poor skills the office staff have. So to sum up malpractice, lack of professionalism, and unable to keep appointments properly or provide patients wit access to reasonable accommodations and are extremely bias and hateful to patients. Absolute nightmare would sum up the experience with the clowns at the desk.
They discriminate against a number of validated behavioral and mental health needs because they are all around just hatefull people in my opinion. Hope the entire Office is investigated for malpractice and the discrimination they showed me and apparently many more.

I actually hesitated to leave this review. But after reading through the others I'm glad to know it is not just me that has been affected by this man. I brought his inappropriate behave to the attention of the ladies out front as well as local law enforcement. I was called the next day and told that I was being dropped from their care (as if i still wanted it) and that they are no longer accepting new patients. To think that this man takes advantage of women who are already suffering from mental health problems is disgusting. There are many other available places locally to go to for mental health, I'd advise you to shop around, ladies.

It would seem as if Dr Patel only hires attractive women, with little qualifications. He cares more about surrounding himself with these ladies than he does having a respected establishment.

I have been a client of Enlighten for over five years and would not transfer to another service. The care and respect that I receive is professional and personal. I am included in my care, I feel that my voice really does matter. The staff is always friendly and welcoming.
