Erie Bluffs State Park reviews
20If you feel overwhelmed by the people at Presque Isle, go here. But don't bring anything but your hiking shoes and/or mountain bike.
Rural setting with several trails to choose. Approximately 1.5 mile walk to edge of Lake Erie and bluff is protected with trees. Lake is visible but no trail to the beach. Extremely high bluff above shoreline.
A smaller state park good for hiking for launching your boat. Views of the lake are better along the more eastern trails. The boat launch area is well maintained, paved, and has plenty of parking. Once in the water, it's a short trip along Elk Creek before heading into Lake Erie.
This is a great state park. The trails are marked well and the views of Lake Erie can't be beat. It was a good time finding and observing frogs, birds, chipmunks and even a little snake.
Great park with amazing views of the lake. The trees are simply majestic here. Bring a walking stick or be prepared to satisfy your leg day, as some of the hills are quite steep on the trails.
Nice first time here. Lots of walking. Not alot out here, but some of the scenes overlooking the lake are pretty. Lots of birds.
Amazing views and a nice walking trail. Definitely worth taking a walk to the cliffs to look at the long views of the gorgeous Erie shore line! As far as I can tell you can see from beyond conneaut to the south and Erie to the north. Its gorgeous!
Beautiful park, picnic areas, aground, hiking trails. A large Pavillion that can be rented.
This is a nice, secluded park, but the views of the lake were a bit disappointing. However, the trails through the woods are lovely! I still enjoy going there to relax even if the view of the lake is somewhat lacking.
We visited on a cold Monday in April. The Transition trail to the overlook was very easy to walk, but even with no leaves on the trees, there really wasn't any view of the lake. There is a side trail that leads down to the water but the view isn't all that great. We walked to the other overlook on the West Overlook trail and the view was no better. We decided to come back a different way and tried the Timber trail. Even though it had not rained for a few days, the trail was wet and muddy in places, making it difficult to traverse. If you like to walk in the woods, this is a great park to visit. If you are looking for views of the lake or shore, this will be a disappointment to you.
Beautiful state park, small and right on the edge of the water.seemed very mountain bike friendly.
Great place to hike, walk, or cross country ski! Beautiful day! Thank you God for the sunshine!
Beautiful place to hike. Has a variety of trails ranging from easy to intermediate. Pretty creeks and rocks and a stellar view of the lake and Canadia (SIC). Also has good access to the creek for fishing. The boat launch is nice for canoes and small fishing boats.
I went up there on Tuesday the 3rd of November fishing for steelhead and I hook 2 but couldn't land them, I was furious, but it's part of fishing. But it beautiful there. We went from a out noon til about 11pm. It was cool when the tide went down n we walked out into the lake about 100 yards, that's how far the low tide takes the lake down. I went with a great friend and it was a great time! If you fish or just like the outdoors you will love this park!
You wouldn't know it from the parking area. But when you hike back the views are simply breathtaking. I actually liked it in its own way better than presque isle for its uniqueness. You can hike down to the sandbar via the fisherman trail to get a more level view dO. Definitly worth the hike and visit.
This park has lots of nice hiking spots with lots of beautiful scenery, especially the view of Lake Erie
Steel head season started so went up to check out Erie Bluff. It is less populated then other state parks in the area. It was very well maintained and beautiful scenery. You can kayak there is a boat launch. The trails looked inviting. There are restrooms but not modern restrooms.
I enjoyed my walk, first time here, next time I need to give myself more time to walk the wooded trails
Very nice little park with several different trails. My only complaint is that the trail map doesn't indicate difficulty or distance of each trail.
Looks like a fun hiking area also fishing, kayaking, boat launch area available in the Elk Creek entrance and conservation information around the trails.
