Erie County Memorial Gardens

This cemetery is sadly understaffed. The grounds are not kept up, sinking spots are not fixed. No one seems to be in the office during business hours. These loved ones deserve more.

Photo says it all. Overgrown grass and totally unmaintained. Pathetic and unpatriotic. If you want to be able to see their grave, don’t have your loved one buried here.

To say that I am appalled does not even scratch the surface. This picture taken on mother's day at my grandparents grave. It does not look like it has been mowed in a while. Let alone the amout of head stones that are sinking. Yet when you pull in everything looks well kept. So why is this area any different. This is how we honor our veterans and their families? I think not! While my mother was there visiting her parents grave there was another gentlemen up there visiting someone he lost. He brought his own weed wacker to clean up his families grave and nicely asked if he could do my grandparents for my mom. This should not be happening. Veterans and their families pay a lot of money to be buried here and this is how their grave sites are taken care of? This is disrespectful and honestly Memorial Gardens should be ashamed of themselves. I'm sure they will say something along the lines of we take your concerns seriously and listen for a few minutes tell you things will be different and then a few months later it will happen again.

Horrible ground maintenance. Grave plaques are always covered with thick grass clippings. How disrespectful for our brave veterans.

My father grave is under water almost all year long. The foundation is actually falling apart around his headstone from being under water. He was a vet and a horrible how his grave is cared for. Grass covers most of the headstone. Have to walk through a flood water to visit unless we have no rain for months. I would love to visit more but having to walk through a swap to visit just crazy.

My mom and step dad are buried here and I am highly disappointed. The few times I have called or stopped and complained I was cut off and given poor excuses. The burial and stone were ridiculously expensive. I unfortunately have had to bury other close relatives recently else where and the cost was a third of what I paid here. Their site is always in a good 3 inches of water in the spring and when it rains and is often soggy. I have to clean mud off it from all the water. I have brought relatives to visit the site and we can't even stand to pay are respect because of the water and mud.

My wife's Dad WW11 Vet & wife r buried in the Vet's section near airplane. We visited this week. We were appalled. Their grave & many others were so covered with grass we had trouble finding them We dug out all the grass which was difficult because we r old. Some of them were completely covered with grass. You worry so much about the plane. How about treating these men with respect & a couple times a year trim the grass back on them. So disgusted.

Why would anyone bury their family in this cemetary? It is in such terrible shape. This is where your veterans ste buried! Looks good from the road, but when you walk through it, it is not mowed some gravesites are under water. Who ever takes care of this cemetary should be ashamed of yourself!
