Horrible experience! Owners were totally rude and out of control. Long story short. Owner basically ambushed us in evening after 11pm and threw us out. No warning nothing. She even called the State police! Apparently you are to be inside cabin and sleeping at 11pm. They even charged us an extra 300$ for being to loud and taking to long packing up. Made us wake our kids up.one child was under 2 yrs old! Lady would not even talk rationally to us. Complete psychopath! DO NOT GO THERE! Read all these reviews. It seems to happen on a regular basis. Unbelievable.

We've been here before. It's a great stop westward from the Adirondacks in NY. This year we stayed in Sept.
Quiet, peaceful. But lots for kids to do during the summer

This is not a fake review like the 5 star reviews. The owners of Erie KOA Holiday harass, disrespect, and berate their campers, and have ruined what used to be a nice campground. Weekend after weekend, read more of the same disturbing issues. CAMPING ISN’T MEANT TO BE CONFRONTATIONAL OR ADVERSARIAL! I was lectured for ten minutes about the rules at check-in like a 16 year old learning to drive for the first time. I’m 50. Zero customer service, courtesy, or professionalism. The owners prioritize over-the-top enforcement of their over-the-top rules and policies instead of an enjoyable, comfortable stay for their campers. They yell at kids for being kids (and I’m tough on my kids). They nickel and dime you for guests and additional parking. They scold dog owners relentlessly. They pick arguments about firewood (yes firewood!). They HARASS and BERATE you if you’re outside past 11pm, even if you’re not being loud. It’s truly an 11pm curfew, not quiet hours. Sharon and Jamie (owners) yell at adults, threaten to call the police, and Sharon makes herself the victim like an entitled two year old throwing a fit if you question her harassment. Ridiculous and pathetic! Constant complaints during our stay about the owners, even from an employee. Press the “lowest” review setting to read the weekly incidents. They’re not wrong, as opposed to their damage-control 5-star rating inflators. We camp to relax and enjoy time with our family, not to cause problems, but the owners created adversity and put everyone on edge during our entire stay. Add to it that the cable reception was terrible, the jump pad was closed, and there were no activities for kids. A large number of seasonal sites were empty, which says a lot. None of the six families we came with will be returning and KOA corporate should be ashamed of franchising the owners of Erie KOA Holiday.

The dog area needs to be bigger. Great things to do for kids.

We were greeted well, manicured campground, and everything was working perfectly. Would highly recommend this campground on your next visit in this area. The greeter recommended to go see Lake Erie and enjoy the beautiful sunset. You can tell the people here really care about their guest.

They did not have dump station use for transients. We have used them for 15 years. Sometime weekend stays, other times transient dump station after a dry camping weekend. This was the first time this year and the first time ever denied a dump station use anywhere. Go to Presque Isle Campground up the road for the kind of service you would expect from a top quality campground. KOA, time to reconsider your endorsement.

Arrived at 12 pm (check in is at 1) - office was closed until 1 pm. No problem. Park was practically empty with 5, maybe 6 trailers total on site. There was staff outside actively working on the surrounding area. My husband spoke with one of them, who said early check in was not an option. No problem, we’ll just wait until 1. Got our 2 toddlers out of the truck to stretch their legs and walked over to the playground. The owner drove over and told us there was no early check in. My husband said we were just going to wait and we’re letting the kids out of the truck. He was not happy. My husband asked if he wanted us to leave and the man just shrugged his shoulders. Complained that his wife was sick and he was going to have to run the office… So, you want us to leave for an hour when we could easily just pull our trailer forward into any of the open spaces you have available? Another RV had pulled up behind us and he told them to leave also. Loaded our kids back in the truck and went 7 miles down the road to Camp Eriez to some of the nicest people we’ve stayed with. Noticed the other RV that was told to leave also stayed at Camp Eriez. We have been full timing for 9 months and have stayed at MANY KOAs. We’ve never experienced anything like this before. Basically telling us to leave. I could understand if you had a park full, but this place was EMPTY. Reading the reviews on KOA, the new owners appear to be a problem with a lot of people. I wish I would have read the reviews prior to booking our stay, but I’ve never had any kind of issue like this. I was unable to leave a review on the KOA app, but they had no problem keeping my $72 deposit. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

Don't let revenge reviews towards the new owners keep you away. We stayed here for a week, there was no one in the bushes stalking campers or hollering at anyone. The park is well maintained and they are adding more sites around the pond. The owners are really nice and other than riding around selling wood you don't really see them. We will definitely be going back in the future.
It's terrible that some people have to try and ruin others dream by false reviews.

Stayed there 9 days in September, we are KOA members and full time campers with a fifth wheel. Jamie and Sharon were great host. We have a boxer dog and Jamie made a point to pet Bella every day. Activities on the weekend were great and plenty of walking area for our dog. Saturday night some tent campers got loud after the 11 pm curfew and we were on the opposite side of the campground and heard them. Jamie took care it. That’s why we like KOA
They abide by the posted rules.
If we are ever up that way we will stay again.

Man I cannot believe the 1star reviews. Jamie and Sharon were very nice and helpful. We stay at KOA’s because of their rules! They had activities & plenty for kids to do. Loved the location. Owners are constantly upgrading. Nice facilities and big rig friendly. If we make it back to Pennsylvania we will definitely come here. Highly recommend!

By far the worst experience at a campground in 15 years of camping. I have been to this campground about a dozen times in the last 6 years and always had a great experience until now. The new owners are the rudest and most condescending people I have ever met. You could not pay me to go back. There are plenty of other nice campgrounds in the area do not waste your time or money at this one. Do yourself a favor and read all the reviews they are 100% accurate. They have removed there Facebook reviews section because they were getting trashed. They clearly have fake 5 star reviews on other sites that are trying to prop up there ratings.

I’m not sure what is up with the bad reviews but after my stay I was even more confused. The bad reviewers clearly had a vengeance. I was met with nothing but kindness and good energy! No popping out from bushes. We were up well past 11pm with our campfire still going but kept small (out of respect for the rules). We kept to ourselves and nobody bothered us. HIGHLY recommend you take the chance on this campground. Don’t let the other deter you away from a good stay!

DONT GO HERE. The ‘quite time’ is a ‘go to sleep time’ and the owners have no problem being rude, scolding the campers and small children, and getting in your face in order to enforce this ‘rule’. The 3 small children with us were sitting quietly on the porch swing cuddled up in blankets watching a movie on a phone about to go to sleep and the psycho owners had the audacity to say they were being loud and they needed to put the phone away, pointing in their faces and scolding them. The owners pride themselves in kicking people out. I hope their ownership doesn’t last long because it has potential to be a great campground if it weren’t for them.

To the owners- the problem is clearly you if there are SO many 1 star reviews about you week after week. You are miserable and sad people who harass others to try to make them as miserable and sad as you are.

This is the worst camping experience ever! You are not allowed to be at the fire after 11 pm without being harassed by the owners, who have no problem yelling at 3 yr olds and telling you to go to bed when you are not making any noise. I would give this place 0 stars if it would let me. This used to be a very nice place to go. There are no activities for children and they are expensive. I can't believe KOA endorses this campground

DO NOT GO TO THIS CAMP GROUND! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY! IF YOU HAVE RESERVATIONS CANCEL THEM! All the rumors are TRUE and this campground is AWFUL! So awful that a grown woman will yell in your 3 year olds face for talking at 11: 02! Also they told my child to turn off the phone it was 11. He only wants everyone to turn off electrics so no one records him and crazy wife!

I want to start by saying all the one star reviews are correct! Don't let the Fake 5 star reviews rope you in.
The campgrounds are clean and well maintained but the owners have no respect for the campers that stay here.
I knew there was going to be a problem with this place after reading all the bad reviews about the owners prior to our scheduled stay that was booked months before the new owners took over.
As other reviews state Quiet time is strictly enforced! I found this out at check in when I was told at least 5 times during the check in process.
We found out the first night when Sharon the owner came to our site 3min past whisper time 11pm and scolded a 3year old for being to loud pointing her finger in his face and telling him to be quiet in a very aggressive manner.
We got the kids to quiet down soon after the first confrontation, and sat at the campfire for a bit while being circled by the owner and her husband watching our site, very uncomfortable!
We went to bed soon after to avoid any more problems.
The following night we proceeded to move our camp night to a more secluded spot at a friend's rental cabin.
Two minutes past quite time the owners again confronted us with flashlight to the face yelling this is your second warning Don't you know the rules! No talking! No electronic devices! And told us we all need to go to bed we are not allowed to sit outside!
My family proceeded back to our camp quietly and put the children to bed.
Four of us were sitting at our picnic table zero noise as we did not want to be scolded again.the owners followed us back to our site and started cussing at us and said we told you all to go to bed 11: 30pm.
The owner Sharon aggressively approached my sister in law waiving her finger in her face and cussing. She was asked to please back away! As she was trying to provoke a fight with us. My sister in law stood up to get away from her as Sharon started yelling hit me! Hit me!
And threaten to call the state police and kick us out.
After her husband pulled her away from our site, we cleaned up and packed up to move out in the morning. Not staying here again unless new owners KOA should revoke the designation, as this is not how KOA's should be managed.
This camp used to be great the new owners are making it the worst!
I advise staying somewhere else!
