Perfect spot to hangout! If you are with friends the inside atmosphere would be fun. Else you can dine outdoors. Their cocktails and appetizers are indeed scrumptious!

This place has gone down hill. I feel like they lost a good cook or kitchen manager or something. Meals were very salty and unappetizing. Service was not fantastic.

The brisket is top tier! Each dish that my party got was exceptional. Will definitely be going back. They are a must-try!

Have been to Estrella close to a dozen times now. The food is always wonderful and enjoyed, and great leftovers should you have any. Service has been great probably 85% of the time, there was one time we were seated at a high top, the waitress introduced herself and then did not return for over 10 minutes so we just moved ourselves to sit at the bar where the service was great. Love that the breakfast tacos are available all day!

I love going here. Tacos are amazing with their hot sauces. Also, the margaritas are amazing

Such a cute Mexican place with authentic cuisine and a lovely dining area! The outdoor patio dining experience was a highlight - make sure to check out their brunch menu!

I generally feel like the quality of their food has gone down. Still good but not what it was when they first opened. I am not sure if the brewery upstairs has impacted Estrella, I can't recall whether the brewery was present when I was there last.

Good not great, Tex mex style doesn’t make there own chips queso watery, margarita in a tiny cup no salt, tacos okay. Was hoping for a really good Tex mex place in the area. It was like on the border quality.

Drinks were awesome, and our server Morgan went above and beyond to be attentive to us! She was super sweet to our kids.

Estrella has some of the best food I have ever had—their tacos are my favorite.

Estrella is a sit down restaurant and bar that specializes mostly on Mexican and South Western food. They have a variety of different drinks such as water, soda, and alcoholic beverages. I have been there many times for party’s and just for dinner and I can say from experience that is one of the best Mexican SouthWest restaurants out there.

The food there is perfect. They have so many different kinds of tacos; all of them perfectly cooked on a perfect shell. My favorite of their tacos is the Spicy Southwest Southern fried chicken taco that is basically just boneless wings on a taco shell. They also have a smokehouse that has a Texas style brisket sandwich, a pulled pork sandwich and much more. They also have a variety of different hamburgers. For dessert they have a Texas sheet cake, churros, flan, and a tres leches cake.

The service is very good and everybody there is very nice. They have a lot of seating but on the weekends they usually are full and you might have to sit at the bar. They have nice outside tables with games like cornhole.

Estrella has a nice traditional Mexican interior with a nice modern exterior. There are many tables but if you can’t get one you are also allowed to eat at the bar or outside in one of the lawn chairs.

One of my favorite things about Estrella is the variety of different foods. They have anything you could want like hamburgers, chicken, tacos, brisket, pulled pork, and so many other things.

If you ever have the chance to go to Estrella do it, you won’t regret it. It will be some of the best food you have ever had.

Great food. The spicy Chicken Taco was fantastic. 7 dollars for one. The brisket fries were ok. I personally don't like the battered type fry but others may. The brisket was very good. Wings were very tasty. Perfectly done. Salsa and chips with Queso really good. Drinks were great. Cold brew coffee very good.
Our server Morgan was fantastic. She was upbeat and happy to be there, especially considering a Sunday. Most places these days the staff just puts off the vibe they don't want to be there.
Outside has very nice seating area, fun things for kids/groups.
If Tshirt s are the attire norm for staff at least have them not be wrinkled. This is an establishment that serves food and drink that goes into people's bodies. The 2 go hand and hand. Think!

Estrella is a medium size restaurant in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. It never gets old! This restaurant serves some of the best creative dishes and drinks in the state. Serving cactus agave lemonade, blackberry bourbon, and the best Manhattans ever. They certainly live up and past their potential. There are so many things that make this restaurant the best of its kind but I will be telling you the top 3 things that are so fantastic about Estrella.

The service at Estrella can’t get any better. It is so amazing having food served quickly, friendly waiters, and quick service. One waiter named Isabelle—my favorite waiter—is so friendly and welcoming. On the topic of quick service, it is quicker than any restaurant I’ve been to because the food always comes out hot and within a reasonable amount of time. You can look forward to being welcomed by these amazing people and having a good time!

The menu never gets old with new exciting things that are added all the time. Their food is made with the most care possible. Estrella has brisket fries; they are the best fries known to man. They also have tacos which exceed all expectations. You’ll definitely want to eat here more than once.

Before you know these things though you need to actually look at the restaurant. They do an amazing job of this. Estrella is so appealing to the eye. It has unique architecture that never gets old. With the cool assortments of cacti and other plants, with bright bulging colors, and the intelligent industrial look, you’ll want to live here forever.

Estrella is a one of a kind for many reasons. It has amazing people, food, and architecture that simply have no match. Estrella is the best restaurant in Downingtown.

One of my Downingtown favorites! Great tacos, and awesome margaritas. Prompt, attentive, and polite service as well! I miss being right around the corner from this place!

Had a great first time experience here this afternoon. Really cool atmosphere inside; this is the perfect spot for a friends gathering or casual date. The music playlist was awesome! Drink menu had a great selection to choose from. My husband and I both had margarita-like cocktails and shared chips and guacamole and wings to start, all fantastic. We then shared a spread of different tacos. All were delicious except the fried avocado one—strange flavor profile there with the toppings. Dessert was also scrumptious with an exceptionally good espresso martini, generous chocolate cake and tres leches slice.
Our server Morgan was amazing. She was so much fun, down to earth, and very attentive.
With that being said, part of the reason I’ve deducted a star is because I’ve truly never seen an overall waitstaff look so unkempt and sloppy. The hostess and most of the servers were teenagers who literally looked like they just rolled out of bed—messy hair, dirty sneakers, ill fitting yoga pants and sweats, oversized hoodies. Casual comfort is fine, especially working on your feet all day, but truth be told their appearance crossed the line into what I would describe as slovenly. As we walked out, my husband whispered to me “Is that hostess really wearing slippers? ” (Yes, she was)
The other factor for the star deduction is yet another restaurant falling victim to the trend of supplying guests with industrial style seating. I understand going for a certain look but sheet metal benches are incredibly uncomfortable. More comfortable seating and a more professional and presentable looking waitstaff would’ve elevated my experience to a full 5 stars.
