I am very pleased with this dentist office so far!

After years of struggling with malnourishment following weight loss surgery, combined with bouts of clinical depression, fear/ anxiety over going to the dentist, and periods of time without health insurance coverage, my teeth were in VERY bad shape.

I finally summoned up to courage to be more pro-active about my overall health at the beginning of the new year, and did my research to find some health care providers that could help me with this.

I picked this office based on reviews by people with similar problems after I looked up dentists that accept my insurance in the area.

Unfortunately it was too late to save my natural teeth but all the staff at this office have been patient, kind, sensitive to my anxiety, and non-judgemental.

I went for my initial exam 2 1/2 weeks ago and had a full mouth extraction and immediate dentures placed on Friday. Although I am experiencing some expected discomfort, I am in so much less pain than I have been in for several years, and can finally smile again!

This is going to have a huge positive impact on my physical and mental health and if you are in circumstances similar to what I was in, I urge you to RUN to this compassionate, professional, and kind office to get your problems resolved!

Unfortunately I found out at my oral surgery appointment that they will no longer be accepting the insurance plan I am on in a couple of months. I was very upset to find this out but very relieved when I called their office with some questions today to discover that there is a plan I can switch to that they are still accepting for now.

I am looking forward to enjoying my new, pain-free smile with the continued care of the team at Excel!

I grew up with a fear of going to the dentist. Dr K.and the hygienist at this location helped me overcome that fear after not seeing a dentist in a few years. The entire office staff is nice and professional, and they were very gentle with me when I got some work done. I can’t recommend them enough.

I’ve had several emergency visits. Without fail the staff here is friendly knowledgeable and very capable of fixing any issue you have. I’ve had two teeth pulled my last two visits and 0 pain perfectly executed removals. Thank you guys for taking care of me. You have my business any day. Will never look to go anywhere else.

First off. I may be a 30 year old male but when it comes to dentists and dental work, I am a 3 year old child. That said, they're great here. Non judgemental, friendly and their work is great. I'm typing this 10 mins after 2 extractions and felt 0 pain. Gotta say. Well done. Thanks guys

Everyone is very kind, receptionists are very sweet and beyond helpful! At my first appointment I had the option to getting a tooth pulled, which I wasn't too sure about doing, but the dentist and assistants really put me at ease. I felt so comfortable and had the extraction done, no problem. After the pandemic I was searching for a new dentist due to so many changes, and I'm glad I found them!

Excel Dental is the worst because there is no enough dentist or staff I have waited for long time almost an hour, they are making same time schedule for 2 clients and only one dentist walking back and fort and service is also not good,

Retrospectively the worst quality dentistry I have ever experienced.

1. Did a crown on a long previously root-canaled tooth (that was fractured on the crown) here a few months ago. Turns out that some bacteria went down from the fracture/operation and the root area of the tooth + my sinus have been developing an infection slowly. I had to have the tooth extracted recently and receive numerous other treatments which disrupts all my plans for next year and is costing me a few thousand dollars. They could’ve extracted the tooth upfront/cleaned the site more thoroughly and gave my antibiotics/scheduled followed up visits after the crown was installed. Oh, and when I had the temporary crown, I did mention slightly swelling gum but was told by the nurse that it’s perfectly normal - they could’ve ordered a blood work and discovered that my body was fighting a bacteria infection instead of proceeding as it is.

2. During my initial visit, I took a full oral X-ray that showed two cavities. I remembered this as is and scheduled a visit to the office to have them treated. The doctor insisted that I only had one cavity and only treated that one without double checking my imaging records (I remembered exactly which tooth was the other one on and asked him to look at it). I was misled to believe that I had misremembered and let it go - well, it turned out I didn’t misremember and I lost a few precious months on the treatment. Anything like this has never ever happened at the 6 other dentists’ that I have seen. Plus, I waited 2 hours past my appointment time for this visit.

Based on my experience, I don’t think this dentistry is to be trusted for any service past a regular cleaning.

I am so grateful for the dentists at the Greentree office! I had a very bad experience at my previous dentist, and I was going to have to wait two months until the oral surgeon they recommended had an appointment. Excel got me in the next day and gave me the root canal I needed on the spot. It didn’t matter that I was a new patient…they got me in immediately. Everyone from the receptionists to the dental assistants to the dentists are so warm and friendly.

Extremely unprofessional staff. My husband had to cancel an appointment right beforehand because he was called into work. It was either make the appointment or lose his job. When he called to reschedule, the receptionist told him not to call them again. Now, I’d understand if he was a long time patient that had a history of canceling appointments last minute, but this was his first visit. The lack of understanding and compassion this woman had for his situation is a disgrace. I’ll be sure to warn others not to go here.

I came to Excel Dental in Green Tree for upper dentures. I put off on getting upper dentures for over 2 years just from the horror stories that I would hear about having dentures that never fit properly. It got to the point to be where I had to have it done. I was referred to Excel. Let me tell you My temps.look great No problems with them I only needed 2 adjustments done. So glad I went here.

This dentist has completely restored my faith in dentists. Every person who works here, including the receptionists, are the most friendly people I've ever seen in a dentists office. I am a very anxious person, but from the minute I walked in the door, everyone was so calming, and caring.
The dentist was able to fit me in for a tooth extraction, that was causing me so much pain for so long. I hardly felt anything! He was so gentle and reassuring. They are not judgemental at all, and made me feel very comfortable. I would definitely recommend, especially for people with dentistry anxiety.

Dr. Kancharla really saved me yesterday. My root canal failed and my (now former) dentist didn’t answer her regular or emergency line. Dr. Kancharla squeezed me in, even though I’m not a regular patient and stayed after his regular hours to remove my tooth.

If not for him, I’d still be in severe pain and actual danger from a serious infection. Today, his office even called to see how I was doing this morning. I’ve definitely found a new dentist!

Best dentist ever I had in Pittsburgh. I was in pain and called multiple offices and no one could get me in. I called Excel dental at greentree and they were able to get me in, though there was a wait which was expected as I didn’t have an appointment. Dr. Kancharla saw me and discussed the problem I have and prescribed me some medication and scheduled me for the treatment. I strongly recommend him if someone is looking for implants. 10/10.

Dr.k is the best dentist that I have experience in my life. He tried not to put me in to much pain today. I'm grateful for him and his team.

So far so good.im sure I'm not the easiest of patients to deal with.the doctor was very kind to me and I was literally freaking out and he did great with me. I had to get all my teeth extracted and he was great.im a lil frusterated that I have to get a root pulled that was missed but that's not the docs fault I was bleeding pretty bad so it was easy to miss being it was a root.but I love my immediate dentures they were definitely alot cheaper than aspen dental.aspen wanted like 6,000 dollars for dentures but I only had to pay close to 2,000 for mine at excel.going to the dentist was hard for me 1 because I was afraid and 2 because im in recovery and I didn't want to be judged or treated badly and the doc and his assistants are great. 10/10 recommended.

Do not by any means go to this dentist. From the time I walked into their office (aka the lobby of a carriage park apartment building) it was sooo unprofessional.it only gets worse from there they deserve negative 10 stars!

Excel Dental is a clean and hygienic clinic. Dr. Kancharla is quite knowledgeable. I got my wisdom tooth removal and Root Canal Treatment done recently. Dr. Kancharla explains which procedure is required and why it is required very clearly. He answered my questions very patiently, it was very reassuring. I had very minimal pain during and post procedure. I would recommend Excel Dental clinic for any dental needs. Thank you Dr. Kancharla

Srihari the dentist was absolutely amazing. He helped me with so many issues i had in my mouth, gave great referrals, and completely eased all my worries about my mouth. Will definitely refer friends and family here. Great practice.
