Excelsior, Lancaster PA

When we were looking for a wedding venue, we were recommended to look at Excelsior. Living 4 hours away, it's not a place that was originally on our radar. However, after our tour with John, we fell in love with the venue. One word that kept coming back to us was "intimate" and how that was the perfect venue for us. John, Kelly and Kaitlyn made the whole process really easy for us. They have an approved list of vendors to work with. This limits the amount research we had to do, and also gave us comfort in knowing we were working with vendors who would do a fantastic job. There is a quarterly tasting where many different couples come to taste the food - it was a great time and the food was delicious! It was well-planned out so we could be in a wedding-esque setting with 150 guests, which was our number, as well. Kaitlyn did an amazing job keeping everything organized and on time, which made everything leading up to our day less stressful. On our big day, we got lucky with low 80s and sunny in late October, so that let us have our cocktail hour outside (we had planned everything inside) and the guests loved it. We had a perfect day and can't thank the staff enough. We've had countless family and guests tell us how special of a wedding that was, with many people saying it was their favorite ever (I agree for what it's worth). Thank you to the whole Excelsior and Signature Catering teams for making our wedding day everything we could've ever wanted.

Fellow wedding vendor here. This venue is easily our favorite venue to work at in the Lancaster County area. All of the spaces are absolutely stunning and everyone in the staff is so friendly. Absolutely would recommend to any couple looking to get married.

My husband and I got married at Excelsior on 11/25/23 and our wedding day was nothing short of exceptional. As a wedding vendor by profession, my venue search was a little different than most due to being around weddings all the time. As someone who has photographed HUNDREDS of venues for a living, it's no coincidence that I chose Excelsior to host my own.

From the first couple minutes of the tour, the owners Kelly and John really make you feel like family. We fell in love with how intentionally designed the property was, the many different beautiful spaces, and we were absolutely taken with the Oyster House. We rented the property and the bridal party + significant others were all able to stay.

Excelsior's vendor list is top tier, and all vendors that I would've hand picked myself anyway: Kaci from Simple Soiree, Kate from Forte Florals, DJ Mast Productions, Shumaker PDT; all were on an exclusive list and for good reason.

Our wedding day was magical, Excelsior made everything seamless. The catering was incredible, and our guests raved about the Osso Bucca and the Sweet Potato Gnocchi. I'd recommend Excelsior to anyone and everyone. It's the perfect venue for any time of year. It was 40 degrees and I knew that any weather circumstance would still result in a perfect wedding. Thank you Kelly, John, and Kaitlyn for the incredible experience, we are forever grateful!

Their staff were extremely caring, responsive and on top of all the details from start to finish. The venue is stunning and has multiple indoor and outdoor areas to choose from to make your day perfect.

The food was fantastic, and they cater to any requests and dietary restrictions you might have.

If you're looking for perfection, then I would highly recommend booking Excelsior for your wedding or any other event!

One of my favorite venues in the Lancaster, PA area. We've been privileged to provide Ceremony and Cocktail hour music here on multiple occasions both independently and in collaboration with our dear friends and colleagues at 3 West. The staff and leadership at Excelsior is unmatched. They are true professionals who really care about their clients and provide a high level of service and attention to detail. My cousin chose to have her wedding celebration here and loved every minute of it so I've seen up close an personal the experience both from the vendor side of things as well as the guest's perspective and they did not disappoint. As far as the venue itself, one of my favorite features is its versatility with multiple indoor and outdoor spaces all within the same space providing that old-world industrial charm. Always love providing harp and string music here.

Dinner at the wedding reception was fine but there were so many at dinner that you could barely hear the person across from you. They need to cover the walls and ceiling with a carpet or sound absorbing material. At least then you could have a decent conversation. Wait staff was attentive.

To say I was looking forward to Cecily + Stephen's May wedding at Excelsior would be an understatement.their day was absolutely flawless and full of modern industrial texture and details that make this venue one of my hands-down FAVORITES!

The venue was incredible to work with in addition to Cindy of Planned Perfection (who practically lives at this venue since they do so many weddings there and is the sweetest human - you need to make sure you hire Cindy and Planned Perfection if you are in need of wedding planning/coordination)!

My favorite features? The multiple green walls, all the exposed brick and plaster walls and the spacious areas that allow larger wedding parties and family photos to occur so easily. Having cocktail hour in the sunken courtyard is such a fun and unique space. Cecily + Stephen entered the reception from the historic curving stair and that was a huge highlight too!

To say we’re so glad we booked the Excelsior for our wedding would be an understatement. Since their internet presence is rather low key, we didn’t hear about them until my sister mentioned seeing her friend’s wedding photos there and that we should tour it while looking for venues. It was the first stop out of 3 that we had scheduled and we ended up booking it at the end of our tour and canceling the other 2 because we loved it so much. Kelly and John, Excelsior’s Proprietors, are amazing at what they do and they created the most gorgeous venue ever. Kaitlyn, Director of Catering, and her team knocked it out of the PARK! Our guests were BEYOND impressed with the food and the venue itself. The food and signature drinks layout were above and beyond amazing. Every room in the venue is uniquely beautiful. It’s just a venue you’ll never forget. I could go on and on for days but bottom line, we would never want to know what our wedding would have been like had we never found Excelsior. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

Beautiful wedding venue. The family who runs the business took great care of everyone at the event. The building is naturally very loud inside, so be ware of the DJ! Overall a lovely historic building that’s perfect for a classy celebration.

My wedding at Excelsior was an absolute DREAM! From day one, Kelly, John, and Kaitlyn were phenomenal to work with. They quickly answered any questions I had and made the entire process so easy and stress-free. And the FOOD! It is amazing. Each and every staff member is so kind and helpful.
