Really awful experiences over the years thru multiple pets. I do NOT recommend this place for cats, they only care about dogs and even that is questionable. Also make sure to plan to stay waiting for 30+ minutes after your scheduled time to go back and wait again in the exam room.

Been bringing our pet dogs and cats to EVH for 20+ years. I am generally pleased. However, parking is sometimes tricky. Would like for them to install an outdoor water trough for dogs.

Took my bird for an examination and a nail trim. Mr Achtel took plenty of time to examine him and diagnose what my little bird needs. All the staff members were also extremely nice. I went to a vet for the first time and felt very comfortable. Almost no wait time, no filled up waiting rooms, which speaks for good management in my opinion.

It’s a great hospital with a great crew! As a member and associate at PETCO-I am always grateful for the help and care they help us with any of our animals experiencing discomfort! They assist with all kinds too-scales to small animals ️

Fantastic service to help our sick bearded dragon. They were the only vet that wanted to help after calling around to 6 others first. They were ready to take him back as soon as we arrived.

If zero stars was a thing they would be getting ZERO stars. DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE. If you love your pets go somewhere else. We brought our dog in for a huge lump on him and they looked at him and turned us away and said he’s fine. HE HAS CANCER. They ran NO tests on him just eyeballed it and said nope he can go home nothing is wrong. Seriously if you love your pets go somewhere else. There are many good vets around the area and Exeter is NOT one. They charge you out the a** for everything and can’t even do a great job to justify spending so much money. Screw you Exeter Vet for not doing your job and running even the slightest test on our dog. Because of you we might lose him because you couldn’t do your job right from the start. We would’ve been ontop this and you told us not to worry for it to only grow larger and spread. We went and saw a different vet and right away they ran tests and did everything a good vet should do, they then told us he has cancer. They were appalled to hear what you told us. Take your animals to a better vet.

Do not bring your birds in for a nail trim, unless you want to be charged for a full on exam. I just got a bird recently and took her for her first nail trim. I called to make an appointment and specified that I just wanted a nail trim. A day before I even got a reminder call for my birds nail trim. I arrived to my appointment, had 3 different people that worked there specify that it was just a nail trim.the doctor came into the room and did a full exam on her when I just had one done last month. I was not aware this was unusual as this was my first time bringing her in for a nail trim. I was then charged for a full on $64 exam when all I wanted was a $18 nail trim. Called later and was told the doctor has to be present since birds tend to be more skittish, so I will be charged for having the doctor present. This was never explained to me when I made the appointment or when I arrived. Absolutely absurd. Will not be back.

We LOVE this place and are so happy to have found a veterinarian who not only works with rabbits but who we feel completely comfortable with. Dr. Kline is extremely personable, intelligent, and really listened to and addressed our questions and concerns. She was very reassuring with us when we brought our bunny in for an emergency vet appointment and we are so thankful that she could see him the day we called. We plan to bring all of our pets there for our pet care needs. A+!

They are very expensive but they are almost always available to get you in if needed and they see even the smallest critters.

I found the Exeter Veterinary Hospital about two years ago when I was worried that I would have to put down one of my cats. They helped me by setting up a same-day appointment to see him, even though we hadn't been there before. That, by itself, said a lot about their compassion for animals, as no other local vet would would agree to see him that same day. They took good care of him, and he is still alive and well to this day. We now take all of our pets here and recommend them to everyone.

I always find the vets and staff here to be so friendly, understanding, and caring. It sets them apart from other vets I have taken my pets to. The cost of care is reasonable, and they are always transparent about costs as you go through your visit. Dr. Cherico took good care of my cat today, which inspired my review after two years of patronage. I appreciated her calm and caring demeanor greatly, as well as her ability to explain all of the tests and results that came up throughout the day. Thanks for everything, Exeter Veterinary Hospital!

Our old vet rubbed me the wrong way but it's hard getting into a new place. Unfortunately my dog got sick this week and my vet said sorry no appointments until next week. Well shes heavy and old so I can't just have her laying in her own pee for a week obviously. I called exeter vet hospital and they said bring her in now! The nurses were so sweet. Thank you for helping my old girl. She had a look of relief after her visit.

As the manager of Exeter Veterinary Hospital, I would like to respond to Ms Wiggins review.
The staff at Exeter Veterinary Hospital is concerned with the well being of every patient at all stages of their lives. Your pet was brought in as an emergency when you contacted us. You were informed by the staff of the two person policy as you arrived and when you refused, the manager, not a veterinarian, spoke with you. The only words I initially said were confirming the two person policy and that you could take turns if there was a third person (you and two others had already gone into a room despite the instructions of the staff). Once I offered the option you told the gentleman with you that you were leaving and the only comment you made to the me and the staff was that you were going to post a review.
We are as concerned about the well-being of our clientele and staff as we are of our patients. Our limitation of the number of people within the building is a reflection of that concern. The Covid pandemic has created the understandable need for precautions to be in place so that we may continue to provide care to all patients uninterrupted. Our policy on limiting the number of people within the building is one such precaution.

Our animals are part of our family!
I was thankful for Exeter Animal Hospital to "fit" us in their busy schedule
It was a TERRIBLE experience!
It was the end of life for our cat and they would only allow 2 people in with our cat
In this case, we had 3 people
Still, they made NO exceptions!
I told them that was a ridiculous rule
Even hospitals make exceptions at the end of life situations!
The staff were very rude and so was one of the Veterinarians
I told the Veterinarian that I was going to post this and he made the rude comment"I'm sure you will"
We took our cat and left
I wouldn't go back there again!
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!
