Eye Doctors of Lancaster

Was very excited about going to my appt and getting answers on why my vision is so blurry after I had a stroke in April. And I was extremely disappointed when I was told that with therapy for my depression and stress my vision will come back and that it’s up to me when I want to see again and that I just need to want to see again. As if I enjoy not liking to see normal. Am I suppose to just click my heals 3 times saying I want to see? As a former nurse I never heard of such a thing. Like I said earlier very disappointed in this office.

Amazing customer experience by April, Dr. Wetherhold, and others. I can't recommend this enough!

One con - We waited for 40+ minutes for our 10: 15 am appt. But that small issue was overshadowed by - 1. Comfortable waiting area, 2. Excellent care by Dr. Brown, Nicki, and one other, 3. Fun sisters at the front desk who were not stressed and time time to kibbitz. A very fine day with fine people. Thank you.

All staff members I had interaction with were pleasant, the woman I spoke to on the phone when I called to make my appointment was lovely, and the office is a beautiful space. I followed Dr Wetherhold from his previous practice in Hershey, so it goes without saying I am very pleased with his thorough care and kind demeanor!

My one small complaint is the wait time: I was seen by a tech for vision testing promptly, but then had to wait in the waiting room to be seen by the doctor for a very long time and was told NOT to put my contact lenses back in (rendering me with very little way to occupy myself as my vision is terrible). I would suggest more correlation between the timing of vision testing and exam with the doctor so there's less of a gap in the middle of the appointment. But otherwise: very positive experience for my first visit!

Eye Doctors of Lancaster was my choice for cataract surgery. This group of caring, compassionate, highly skilled professionals made the process easy and stress free. They took the time necessary to fully explain what to expect during the surgery, what to do to prepare for it and what to do during the recovery process. They explained the options available for lens implants and the differences of each. I selected the light adjustable lens and the results exceeded my expectations. I felt that the doctors and staff listened to my concerns and that my health and comfort were their primary concern. This is a special group of people and I highly recommend Eye Doctors of Lancaster.

From start to finish my experience with these people has been extraordinary. I put off cataract surgery for years out of fear because I had outdated information. Dr. Donnelly and his staff put my mind at ease and the surgery was successful. Two things, don't put off the surgery it will change your life and and go see Dr Donnelly at Eye Doctors of Lancaster. I can't thank them enough.

I am a regular patient of Dr Smith with almost weekly appointments. Dr Smith always takes the time needed to treat my condition. Dr Smith and associate Niki work hard as a team to make sure I am treated in a high level so that I can go perform my job after treatment. They’re the best. And every one at Eye Doctors of Lancaster seem to enjoy being there for the patients

Couldn't recommend this practice more highly. Dr. Shaw was very thorough and made cataract surgery very easy and comfortable.

Dr. Shaw extracted cataracts and placed lenses in both my eyes this week. I can’t say enough GOOD thinks about Dr. Shaw and his whole team. It was a very positive experience! He is very compassionate and addressed all my concerns. I highly recommend Dr. Shaw!

Dr. Steve Donnelly performed cataract surgery on both my husband and I and we were very pleased. He was always courteous and willing to answer our questions. Crystal, Ashley and the entire staff were very pleasant to work with also. We highly recommend him for anyone searching for a very qualified, courteous surgeon.

I had both my eyes done Cataracts removed and lenses implanted. DR SHELLY MO WAS GREAT. I would definitely recommend her to everyone. The care was exceptional and the staff as well. Really caring surgeon, she has a great repore with patients.

I couldn't be more pleased with my sight being restored, and my experience with Eye Doctors of Lancaster. It is wonderful to be able to see as if I have contacts in all the time. In fact, I think every night. "I must take out my contacts" until I remember I don't! My last checkup, both eyes tested at 20x15. I am thrilled with all I can see again, and my recovery has gone so smoothly. I have to admit, I was quite nervous for the surgery. Dr Donnelly and his entire staff were very comforting and professional and answered all my questions. The offices were easy to locate and easily accessible. Most important to me was the outcome, and I would give that 10 stars!

I have had the most wonderful, life-changing experience under the care of Dr. Donnelly. I had cataract surgery with the LAL lens replacement. From the very first appointment the knowledge, precision, and thorough process was simply the highest level possible given by all staff who are under his guidance. Dr. Donnelly goes out of his way to be sure everything is in line and that you are satisfied well before surgery begins. He is incredibly caring, gentle and encouraging throughout the entire process. I also greatly appreciated Dr. Wetherhold’s expertise, humor and how well he works together with Dr. Donnelly as a team. Had a wonderful experience today. Dr Smith was highly skilled, efficient, and made me feel at ease for my procedure. Melissa and Jen were friendly, kind, and welcoming at the front desk. I would give 6 stars if they would let me.

I was referred to Dr Justin Shaw @ Eye Doctors of Lancaster PA to be examined for potential cataract surgery. I had no idea about what the surgery entailed or how many options there were for types of lenses I could choose. DR Shaw and other staff there spent a lot of time explaining about all my lens options, the costs and pros & cons for each option. I chose the Light Adjustable Lens option because they gave me the best chance of no longer needing to wear prescription glasses at all after 22 years of wearing glasses. A few weeks after the lenses were implanted, I started going into the office weekly to work with Dr Shaw & his team to make adjustments to my lenses using UV light. After 3-4 visits they had my lenses adjusted to correct my specific issues in each eye and once the changes were locked in I haven’t needed to wear glasses at all anymore. I went from often needing a magnifying glass even though I had a strong eye glass prescription and high level bifocals to no glasses at all! I thought that I might need a low level pair of readers but it’s now 2 weeks later and I haven’t had any difficulty seeing even at work and I haven’t needed any type of glasses. I’m really happy that I made the decision to work with the team at Eye Doctors of Lancaster and that I selected the Light Adjustable Lenses.

I was in the office today and Shawna took care of me. What a gem. We talked and laughed during the entire time that she was with me. She has a great personality and she has a wonderful way with customer service.
The front staff was all new and they were great. I had one bad experience with someone that answered the phone. She was not a kind person and she is no loner there, I am glad that management recognizes that someone is just not working out.
Dr. Smith it’s so kind and explains everything so thoroughly. I am certainly glad that I have her to take care of me.
I hope management continues to keep employees that seem to work together as a family.

The front desk staff, particularly Melissa and Jen, are always friendly and very helpful. The optician, Heather is helpful and knowledgeable regarding selecting and fitting glasses.
