The eye doctor was okay. She didn't involve me, (as the guardian/ parent), with my kid's exam. She didn't explain the results to me, she didn't ask me questions about my kid's health nor did she give me the option to ask her questions. She didn't take the time to engage with me and go over what she did in the exam room. However, she was mild-mannered and seemed to be nice.
The staff were super friendly and welcoming. The two ladies took time to talk to me and my kid; offered us bottled water. They recommended some frames for him to try on and gave their opinion. She thoroughly explained the results/ diagnosis of my kid's (teenager) exam and offered us a choice. She went over how his insurance works. She was even personable as she told me a story about her teenage daughter. Bottom line, the doctor was nice. However, in my opinion, she needs to take the time to engage more with her young patients' parent/ guardian. The staff, they were great. Both ladies made time for open dialogue, they were helpful, funny and friendly.

I had a pretty meh experience. I went in looking to get help finding contacts that work for me, having tried a couple times in my life to wear contacts but always finding them uncomfortable. I explained this to the optometrist, she handed me some contacts and said "here try these" then sent me on my way. She didn't answer any of my questions or do much to help me try out different types of contacts and brands.

I absolutely Love the Eyetique in Shadyside! Everyone is super friendly and helpful! The doctor listens attentively and really cares about their patients. The entire atmosphere is welcoming and it's really a super easy process from start to finish, which is AWESOME!

This company has really gone downhill. It seems that since the sale by the original owner that all customer focus has evaporated. You get charged for contact fittings, without being fitted for contacts. Don’t worry though, that charge will go away IF you buy contacts from them. They’re only marked up 40% from the average price. The optometrist will strong arm you into getting the $45 pictures of your eyes and constantly try to refer you elsewhere for additional exams. There used to be loyalty discounts for returning customers. Now it just has me searching for a new vision care provider. The staff working in the front was excellent, in spite of everything else.

I was genuinely impressed with everyone at eyetique. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Dr. Crawford was kind and explained everything very clearly and answered all our questions. The eye exam felt like it was very thorough. And at the end, we didn’t feel pressured to buy our frames from the location. We’ll definitely be coming back here.

I received the best customer service from Kylie - she is knowledgeable and professional, and very easy to talk to. I have no problem recommending Kylie and the Shadyside store to my family and friends for all of their eye care needs.

I know folks'll say this place is pricey but we've never had a bad experience here. From the selection to the friendly and always helpful staff (and the well-stocked candy dish), and most importantly, the quality of eye care, this place has been our go-to for glasses and exams.

Tonya is amazing! She went above and beyond to understand our needs and provide us with great pricing. Made our experience there an exceptional one!
