Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Pittsburgh North/McCandless Crossing

The hotel and the surrounding area is very nice. There are tons of restaurants and shopping. However, I am basing this review on the way I was treated by Chris, a female employee, and the general manager. I was traveling for business and I booked a room using my state government rate. I was continuously told that the Marriott does not honor the state government only federal/military. Yet, I booked the reservation on their site using the state government option. I’d also stayed at a Marriott a few miles away from this location a week ago on business with no problems using the state rate. I travel often, but this time I was interrogated by Chris and his female coworker about my eligibility. Despite the fact that I showed them my state government Id, they still went into the system and changed my rate to the standard rate, which was significantly more. The general manager was non responsive to the matter. I am very disappointed and I will take this up with Marriott corporate.

Excellent property and very convenient to everything. Front desk staff was extremely efficient, pleasant and helpful. Property is clean and the bed was very comfortable! It’s my favorite place to stay while in Gibsonia!

The hotels staff was so kind and inviting. They made our stay comfortable and the room was beautifully laid out. At the end of our stay we had the best continental breakfast my family and I have ever had! We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Pittsburgh!

Best hotel room I've had the pleasure to stay in. Very close to dining options and shopping. No staff for room service. Anything needed for your room needed to be picked up from the lobby.

Clean, modern, well appointed. The exercise room was spacious, so much so they could easily fit a cable machine in there. The breakfast is average; no better than down market hotel chains such as choice.

Shane Holland that works here is Amazing! He was so welcoming to our family and went above and beyond to make sure our family was accommodated in every way. He also had great suggestions of the surrounding area. He is a huge asset to this Hotel- I have stayed at Marriotts all over the world and he has stood out amongst all employees. Great work Shane and Thank You!

I was staying in a hotel across the street that was disgusting. Thankfully the lady at the front desk was absolutely a pleasure and filled all my needs. She was able to take the company card over the phone and really pulled through! So thankful! The room was super clean and the shower was everything that I needed!

It was a lovely weekend to stay at, pretty scenery all around, and the light is gorgeous. I got some vintage photos and everything worked out nicely.

Delayed review - stayed during covid times. Sheena at the front desk was so kind and accommodating when checking with a reservation. Provided a great introduction to the location. Excellent check out experience too!

One of the best Fairfields I have been to. Great location too. Close to many places to eat and shop. Easy drive to downtown Pittsburgh.

Very nice place to stay. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Plenty of places to shop and dine within walking distance.

The rooms were very clean with comfy beds! Breakfast included which was good and included the usual hotel faire. Stayed here before and will visit again.

Darlene was an absolutely fabulous host! We had our wedding party here and she was so accommodating. Can’t say enough about Darlene. Thanks for everything!

Frond desk is rude. I had a reservation for 2 nights, but i checked out the second day. Even though the reservation was for durng the wk, i had to pay double the second night.

Had a wonderful stay only thing is the last Fairfield inn By Marriot charged a holding on my debt account for 20$ this one via an English accented lady charged my debit card a holding account of 150$ I was a bit disappointed in the difference by the same brand of Marriot.

I would not recommend coming to this Marriott as for the ridiculous holding charges compared to other Fairfield Marriott which I had no problem with.

The customer service needs work. The front desk wasn't very attentive to customers, almost rude.

The rooms and bathroom was clean and organized. The rooms were quiet during the nights I stayed.

The breakfast had the usual fruits, yogurt, breakfast sandwich, coffee and tea, and cereal.

The gym is moderate size with a veriety of equipments to choose from.
The pool next door is small.
