Fairmount Primary Care Center reviews
11 It's a one stop shop. If you're patient enough to wait to get into your first appointment here then you won't regret it. You can get your labs taken here so you don't have to go to another place. But it is bustling and busy so you gotta be patient sometimes.
Edit: I'm from small town Iowa where no one ever believes you when you say you're sick but they're prescribing tramadol like it's candy. This is a very welcome change of pace. You still have to communicate with them if there's issues because they're busy here and not mind readers. Their lab is small and probably not what most people are used to. For me? This place was amazing and way more technologically advanced than ottumwa iowa.
I chose this facility because it was close to my job. Only looked up the doctors after I went the first time. I see mixed reviews on people's experience there and for the doctors as well. For me the doctors and nurses have been pleasant and they listen to what I have to say. I was given a referral to a specialist when I expressed concern about something. They don't try to rush through the visit and they usually ask about my other health (dentist, eye doctor, etc.) to check in on all health areas.
It looks like they are building up their online check in services which works fine and cuts down on the check in process when you get there. Calling in still isn't the greatest but once you get a hold of someone setting up a meeting isn't a challenge. And they have started sending plenty of reminders via text (tad annoying, but appreciated since I do forget things like doc appointments) Wait times aren't too bad if you can make an appointment before 10am. I've been about 3 times now and the experience is the same quality. I recommend since this place is clean and so far I've been treated respectfully
Set up an appointment a month in advance. Turn up and find that the doctor has taken the day off and lied about informing you that she had to reschedule the appointment.
Apparently I gave them the wrong number which was clearly a lie.
If you value your health and time, just avoid this place.
Awful in every way. No one answers phones. The patient portal doesn’t work. Doctors are unresponsive. The pharmacy is never has the medication I need. It’s an absolute mess.
I have been going here for years but l left because I can't ever get a appointment in the same month they never answer the phone or when you do see a Dr. They act like they have something better to do an don't listen that's with the adults and with the children department every time my child got a shots 3 day's later she was sick an had to go to the Hospital an I left because I keep telling them that something was wrong with my child breathing an they keep telling me my child was fine took child to the Hospital found out my child had asthma bad (I give this place NO Starts)
UPDATE: seems like they answer the phone now but going to the doctor here is a waste of time and money. All she did was ask if had been to other doctors and didn't really care about any of the symptoms, issues, or questions I had. Just reordered the same labs I had done 2 months ago and rushed me out. I told her multiple times I injured my knee 3 weeks ago and told them it hurt to walk on it still and was literally ignored. I'm done.
Good luck getting an appointment or getting test results. These guys don't bother to answer the phone. I've been without my meds for a week now cause I'm waiting on test results that I can't get them on the phone for.
Really really terrible experience here and I recommend you go anywhere else. I got my blood drawn on dr orders and the technician was handling someone else's jar of pee. DIDN'T EVEN WASH HER HANDS and then came to me to start drawing my blood. Like to even see a random persons pee was strange enough, let alone to see someone try to touch me right after. And that is just the start of it. I got the blood work back and needed to talk to my doctor. In most places if you get negative test results, the doctors call you. But not here. Here you have badger the call center to connect you and then pray they actually do. I am now stuck here because of insurance and my PCP but please, go anywhere else.
Very polite very professional and I never had to wait very long but I was always on time for my appointments
The dentist was very nice but this place is awful, they cancelled my appointment the day of due to a mistake of their own, and then couldn’t schedule me for another 4 months
When you have a medical problem and don't have an appointment what are you to do their answers is go to the emergency room or urgent care but what if you can't afford to go there why can't the doctor return your call. You leave messages and nothing happens
My whole family comes here. The staff is beyond amazing, it's really comforting being in a practice with genuine staff. The peds office is great too. My only issue is the wait. To be seen it takes some time but it's worth the wait in my opinion. I'm really lucky to have found this practice
