Family Dollar, Philadelphia PA

It's always clean, and most times when I enter the store someone says, "HELLO". What I do not like, is there is always an automated message over the loud speaker in the store telling me "I'm being watched, and how the store is under 24hr surveillance". I am not a criminal! As a consumer, FAMILY DOLLAR on Oxford Ave.is a last resort because it's close to my home, most times they have what I need, and I think it is better priced than DOLLAR GENERAL.

Family Dollar Oxford Circle another tool in this bad economy to help you get the things you need and save money with convenience at hand for those who live in the area. The store is clean, well-stocked, organized, and always busy due to the fact of better prices for a nation chain dollar store in the area. Paper towels and toilet paper of the Family Dollar brand are priced competitively. One important thing with the Philadelphia soda tax is they do have competitive prices on 2 L and Rip It energy drinks if there is a sale. They also have many other Pantry items, household goods, cleaning supplies, Personal Care items, and more at competitive prices. In the personal care items one thing stands out as a real money saving tool their brand of dandruff shampoo made in Turkey the shampoo is comprable to Head and Shoulders at half the price being around $3.75 for a large container and they even have smaller containers at $2.75. I was really amazed with this product because some review gurus Say Never to buy hair care products at a dollar store which is false. Family Dollar has its convenience factor, is part supermarket, discount store, and convenience store. In my opinion the quality of the products, lower prices, and service a better then those of the national competition in the area. Customer service is also a plus, thanks to the night manager who rectified a problem with my receipt because I didn't get my discount on sale items, and he vigorously strive to fix the problem which I greatly appreciate. Family Dollar is also open later then the competition being till 10pm. I recommend the store to anyone who likes to competitively shop to find lower price items and also recommend because of the convenience factor in the Oxford Circle area!

I have been here several times. Inalway receive Excellent customer service from the associates there. A+ Customer Service & I always find what I am looking for.

Horrible, it's always one cashier. Line to the back of the store. I also forgot to get my laundry detergent when leaving came back twenty minutes later and it is sitting behind the counter. They gave us the hardest time getting our detergent after paying for it.

Family dollar is a good place to shop when you don't have a lot of money you can everything there that you need for less than you would fine in a big store

They didnt have dollar store bags.they used white plastic trash bags and it ripped as i left the store.ugh?

I love family dollar because the people are always so pleasant and friendly also the store always has everything I need.the manager is really nice.they really make you feel welcome.i can always shop with a smile

Awesome! Great prices, Friendly staff plus such a wide variety of selection. BIGGER AND BETTER. I couldn't believe how big family dollar got since last year!

I like family dollar some items are reasonable than others, I think they need to change there name most of there items are not a dollar.

Friendly service but not fast! Workers wait until lines get out of control to open another lane.

Always crowded, if your in a rush don't go here. More associates on the floor than behind the counter

This place has everything you need and they sometimes stay open a little later than they're supposed to. A few times I've walked in when they should have been closed their doors, if its done purposely or not I've definitely appreciated it. There are some nice people who work here

I love the store but all the stress that comes with it I'd rather not go. No kidding 8 out of 10 times I go the line is crazy. As big as that lot is you would think the parking would be better than it is. It's nuts. The one exit you can't make a left out of it and the other exit it's crazy getting out of. Maybe with I think it's a Dollar General Store that opened up across the street that may reduce some confusion.

Great help need shorter lines and need more register people. But great friendly workers. And tons of options, oh yeah keep the bread in stock.

There are always people asking for money at the door and as i was parking there was a lady with a red van who blocked my car to ask me for money while i had my kids in the car.and the next day i stopped agian at this store and there was she again asking for money to other customers and i drove off there when to another store. The store could had told her to leave ad they did not.

This is a fairly good store BUT it doesn't have a lot of what the other family dollar stores have such as GULE, BABY POWDER, Ext.

Had everything i was looking for and employees were very friendly! I would've gave it a five star but there was 1 line and close to 10 people waiting until they finally opened another line! There were at least 5 employees that i saw stocking shelves, if not for the line would've been 5 star

Most of the employees are nice except for one very rude one. I haven't shopped here since dollar general has opened across the street.they have much more reasonable prices

My favorite store. They have everything you need @ good price. The workers are like family & very helpful with your shopping needs. Now they have smart shopper coupons which is great!

Everytime I go in there it's very clean and well organized especially after the remodeling. Staff is always pleasant.
