Dirty and rude.

It's a shame that this office looks so run down. It's dingy and decrepit, I feel uneasy just touching anything in the waiting room. In a COVID era, I shouldn't have to feel like I'm sitting in a live petri dish. What's amazing to me is the fact that Dr. McLaughlin's wife sports around town in an 80,000 Porsche, while they can't even manage to clean their office. It looks like it hasn't been cleaned since 2000. Despite this, he likes to show off and display his nice cars, trophy wife and model home for everyone to see. He has the best of everything, he just doesn't care about you that much. Apparently he's the kind of doctor that likes to look down on the world. Literally - his mansion overlooks the town.

The office staff can be standoffish. They can be helpful, but they can
also be difficult to deal with. Often times you can't get through during normal office hours. Leave a message, which never gets returned. Simple requests for information to be sent somewhere else have been refused, they give you a hard time over petty things. They say they're going to it, but then they don't. You have to call in multiple times, stay on them to make sure it actually gets done. But you can hardly find fault with them, they're just following "doctors orders". Dr. McLaughlin sets the tone, the rest of the staff are just doing what they're told.

That brings me to Dr. McLaughlin himself. He's polite, but he really has a haughty air about him. I didn't pick up on it at first, you just agree with most doctors because they have years of experience and expertise. But we started noticing his snooty ways after a while. He doesn't really listen, instead he thinks he knows your child better than you and doesn't acknowledge what you're feeling. He has a cold bedside manner, a bit robotic, has little empathy. Some people have told us he refuses to even see them if he doesn't like you. I'm sorry to say this, but he doesn't care about patients, he only cares about the revenue you bring into his practice. I know this because of what it's like to be a patient - put off, ignored, insulted and talked down to. We're done being treated poorly. I hope this helps you make an informed decision about your doctor.

PS - Renee is nice, but unfortunately you still have to deal with the disorganized office. I hope she finds another practice, we would still recommend her.

Very very poor service. My records have been sitting on the doctor's desk now for almost three weeks. So glad I'm not dieing at the moment. WOW! Have a better survival rate at a veterinarians office. Sad!
