I remember going to this lady, my very first psychologist I ever went to. I already didn’t want to go to tell a stranger about my life. I went anyway. She asked me my fears, after I told her she tells me “yes but you only see those things on tv, things like that barely happen in real life” and I was just lost for words thinking if she’s really serious. She didn’t show any concern, she just brushed my fears off like they’re not real. So why even ask me what my fears are. I told her I have to leave because of parking, honestly I couldn’t wait to get out of there. I didn’t feel comfortable with her at all. My experience with her makes me question how she’s been in this field for 20 years. And her “office” is more like a closet.

I do not recommend. I walk in and within first 60 seconds she tells me she cannot work with me. Clearly stated because I am in recovery. Meanwhile her page does. It specify or include that people with ex addictions ban you from seeking mental health. She is not open minded. For someone seeking help and yes I sat directly in my car and had to write this up because I be patiently waiting all week for this appointment and looking forward to it.

Irene is tremendous. I saw her for just over a year, and got so much out of it. I was struggling with anxiety and several phobic issues for years, as well as some unresolved issues with trauma from my childhood and adolescence. Irene was knowledgeable, patient, understanding, kind and wise, and always brought a professional, warm and attentive attitude to our appointments.

Her approach was that of a skilled master in my opinion, and I made outstanding progress with my issues during my time with her and since. My issues and anxiety have been greatly diminished, and I would highly recommend this service to anybody seeking a CBT!
