Flight 93 National Memorial reviews
20It was a windy, icy, snowy day, so we enjoyed all we could. The visitors center was filled with lots of information. I'll go back another time when it's warmer. So glad I went.
Very cool place our school went for a field trip very fun and the guide that we had was very cool and when your there check out the book tower thing it's super cool and they have a gift store so bring some money
Very emotional and moving for the families involved in that tragedy. Display of monument and the chimes is so cool! I would have liked to visit the store but I refuse to wear a useless face diaper!
Moving, somber accounts of 9/11. The museum covers all three attacks in order so that one relives or learns of the events of that horrible day.
There is a walking trail from museum to memorial wall, where the names of the forty air travelers are inscribed. Drive to the Tower of Voices.
This is my second visit, first since Tower of Voices.very moving experience. Highly recommend everyone visit the site.
I had my doubts about coming here, thinking it would be lame. I had a nice time, it was very interesting and sad all at the same time. It left a feeling of loneliness and sadness when I saw the memorial and the museum.
I enjoyed the center. The crash site was good. Very emotional experience. I just wish they would let take photos inside. The memorial was well done. All the heroes would have been proud.
Nothing fancy, just a powerful reminder of what happened to us - and how standing up in spite of the cost saved a lot of lives.
Make the trip and take a young person with you!
Loved this place. Must have had tears in my eye most of the visit. There are nice walking paths for visitors to walk the site, Lots of content to read and listen to. When we visited they had just cut the hill to allow people in wheel chairs to see the site from the visitor center at the top of the hill.
This is actually a very big area that they have for this you drive a few miles before you get to the actual crash site definitely worth checking this out out. It has a lot of potential for a future National Park
Feel guilty rating just a 4 of 5, but the presentation center, although a fabulous tribute to our fallen civilian heroes has not updated the bathroom facilities as of Nov 3,2021 and I m not a potapotty person.
Great, tasteful memorial to some true American heroes that went out on their own terms!
This is a very emotional place. I couldn't bear to listen to the final messages and calls to loved ones. Go visit, but be prepared to get hit really hard in all the feels.
Somber place worth a visit. Did not like the port potty instead of being able to use a bathroom with running water to be able to wash hands especially because of the pandemic very unsanitary!
The memorial makes it feel like your a passenger on the plane. From the last calls to family from passengers, to the items recovered from the plane. This is a must see!
My brother and I visited shortly after the 20th anniversary and I was not dissapointed. The design of the memorial respectfully honors those who sacrificed and lost their lives on Flight 93, particularly the newest addition - the Tower of Voices. Walking down the timeline to the overlook is eerie and invokes a lot of emotion for those of us who remember 9/11, and so many small details were used to make the memorial special.
We arrived on a drizzly fall afternoon with very little wind so we didn't get to hear the chimes at the Tower of Voices, but I've heard they sound beautiful. They have a QR code you can scan to hear them on your phone if you aren't lucky enough to visit when the wind is >15 mph, but if you can manage, look at the forecast and try to plan your visit when there might be some wind.
Great respectful honor to this Tradjety and all that was done for the betterment of others despite this negative attempt upon OUR safety.
Visited here the year after it happened, dirt road, flowers & memorials left behind. Now, it's so real as you walk to the lookout, read the timeline, and see the faces of the heros. Worth the drive.
It made my blood BOIL again. Also reminded me of we did nothing about Pakistan harboring the enemy or why we still did business with the Saudi's.
This memorial is several sites, the Tower of Voices is on one part of the field while the Visitor's Center is on another; very humbling.
The visitor center was fenced off. So, you had to do the Memorial by yourself. I would have liked to have had more information.
