Four Points by Sheraton Philadelphia City Center reviews
17When I visit the area, it is always my go to hotel. Perfect location, friendly staff and always clean. I definitely recommend this hotel.
Parked smack dab right in the Philadelphia Convention center. Parking is virtually available on all 4 corners of the building in the mist of this Being downtown.the riverfront is within walking distance. The bar and food and hospitality is first rate. Clean rooms with great views of city center. Would recommend for a couple night stay. Would stay again.
Midrange hotel perfect for tourists or convention visitors. Small lobby with bar/restaurant. Good-sized rooms. One block from Convention Center/Reading Terminal Market. Just a couple blocks from the dozens of restaurants and shops of Chinatown. Large paid surface parking lot just across street from entrance. Easily walkable to Jefferson/Market East regional rail train station. Rail Park less than 10 min walk north. Franklin Square 10 mins walk east.
I stayed for one night on the 25th of November, woke up the following morning having over slept, called the front desk and asked for an additional half hour to check out a bit later. The woman said that would be no problem. I say thank you, get myself together, leave a tip for housekeeping and I even stopped down at the desk to formally check out. Cut to two days later, I get an alert from my bank at 4am for a 58$ charge from the hotel. I was charged for a late check out, even though the hotel usually extends until 1pm as a courtesy. At no time during the several interactions with the front desk was I made aware of such a charge, and I was even gone before 1pm. It just didn’t sit too well with me. I was in town for one more day so I stopped into the hotel after my phone calls weren’t returned, spoke with a man Tun who was very helpful, and got the charge resolved. Believe me if I needed to stay longer I would have absolutely no problem being charged for the time, but the surreptitious nature of the situation was unacceptable.
The single most dishonest Marriott property in the network. I reserved two rooms, but the app only showed one room reserved so I added a second to my order while driving in. When I arrived they showed three rooms in the system and said they would take care of the extra room. Without my knowledge, they charged for 3 rooms, calling one a no show (I was physically there, of course) and did not give me 3 rooms. I left, saw the extra charge and called. I then called back no less than 15 times to talk to someone and only once was I helped. I was told it would be reversed and was not. The next 3 times I called the manager was not available and I was told that I should just dispute the charge. I did, then they sent documents to prove I was a no-show. After 15 years with Marriott and 10 years Platinum, I'm cashing in my points and moving on. You've lost this lifetime customer and I will not return.
10/10
Was so cozy and comfortable. Had a good time meeting and my man
Then food next door 10/10
Stayed here recently as a elite Marriott member and this is a Marriott property.
Never experienced a hotel where the electronic key system didn't work. The front desk clerk literally had to leave the front desk every time you left you room and wanted to return to your room to open the door for you. There is a parking lots across the street that hotel is not associated with that charges $45 but doesn't print a receipt so you have to be concerned that you may be towed without a receipt on your dash.
All in all an unpleasant experience for major city hotel next to convention center. No a acknowledgement for being gold Marriott member as other hotels in the chain do
This hotel charged my credit card $336.77USD without my permission. Accommodation was already prepaid. Nearly 4 weeks later still no money returned to my card. Hotel keeps blaming my credit card's financial institution. Hotel keeps calling it an "authorisation hold" however NO PERMISSION was given for this hold. The hotel even sent me an email with a Wikipedia meaning of "Authorisation Hold" to prove their point. How condescending! Except the meaning included the wording permission granted by the card owner.which is funny since they didn't have permission. It all seems a little dodgy to me. DO NOT STAY HERE, better options in Philadelphia
The staff here was so wonderful! It's an old hotel that they redid. Nice job. Not perfect, but clean and again, great people! The manager Eshea, Rhonda and Fattima!
Stayed 1 night for Auto Show Black Tie. Received upgraded corner room overlooking convention center and city hall. The bathroom was new and modern, along with the rest of the furnishings. There is no built-in closet but a vanity to hang your clothes with a small ironing board and iron. Therefore if you have a lot of luggage the room could become cramped for space.
The workout facility in the basement was outstanding featuring free weights, treadmills and elliptical machines. There was a TV and the individual machines had screens which did not appear to work.
There is an adjoining restaurant to the hotel which had a small bar. As with other reviewer comments noise does travel between the rooms.
If driving their is a public parking lot that you pay separately, not a part of the hotel folio. The parking is roughly $40.
Overall for under $150, night I would stay again as its a nice value property especially if needing to be close to the convention center.
A solid stay with comfortable bed, nice service, and a small-but-decent gym (there are dumbbells, treadmill, etc). As Elite members we had the option of getting the breakfast coupons from the restaurant in the hotel, but we didn't get that. We got the corner room with double views, which was great and spacious. I would recommend this if you are spending time in the area, or if you are taking the bus from the terminal nearby.
I am staying at the four points hotel and I am in hospitality myself. I just want to say the front desk staff is so sweet and attentive.housekeeping is AMAZING! ESPECIALLY ROSALIND OMEX. She is so sweet and very attentive. I wasn't feeling well and came back to a sparkling room and she left a sweet note thanking me for my stay. Thank you all from the housmen to front desk and houskeeping for being so welcoming.
Recommended. Nice and clean hotel, not included Breakfast. Stayed 1 nt with family exploring in the neighborhood. Self parking $38 for 24hrs in front of hotel and near Chinatown and Reading Terminal Market, all within walking distance. No bath tub, standing shower only.
Please stay in this hotel for Chinatown and surrounding area.
Please see pictures.
We had a amazing stay here, our rooms were so nice. They were spotless and had everything we needed. The restaurant down stairs was amazing for breakfast. But the best part was the girls at the front desk! Dalia, Rhonda and Asha could not have been more helpful and kind. They went out of their way to fulfill every request. Each of them should be in management! It seems like customer service is not common these days but the 3 of these ladies proved that it still matters to some! Thank you Marriott for hiring such a amazing staff!
Be careful with this hotel and the employees working there. I stayed back in September, the hotel room was clean and checking in/out was ok. However, a couple of weeks later, I noticed I never got my deposit back. I contacted the hotel and filed a dispute. When I got a notification stating the charge was upheld due to smoking in the room, I was stunned. I contacted the hotel a 2nd time and spoke with general manager Maryann Kowalchek about the situation. They stated the housekeeping staff found evidence of smoking in the room. You know what the “evidence” was? Cigar leafs that were in the trash! I honestly never thought something would happen like this but it does. Employees will lie for whatever reason and I was out of 250$. I pleaded with them to view the cameras of that same night of me and my friends walking out side to smoke. But they didn't want to do that. Don’t throw anything in the trash because the staff there will lie for some extra money.
Stayed for a conference. Very close walk to the convention center. Everyone was professional, pleasant, and gracious - especially Caleb, Devin, Tasha, Talia, and Rosalind. Would definitely stay here again!
Hotel was simply marvelous definitely five star hotel great location great views great transportation to and from the front desk was especially helpful at all times and the staff was very very nice come to this hotel if you need to come to center City Philadelphia
