It's been a decent amount of years now that I feel safe enough to put my review here. In 2016, I was in my early 20s, looking to do some service for spiritual communities and travel. This was my first time ever going to the east coast. I think everyone's seen Orren's past controversy with his ex wife but I was dumb enough back then to ignore it. When I got there Orren said he would "work me hard". Figuring he's doing this to scare me, I said ok. It came out in some discussion that I had generalized anxiety and he saw this as an opportunity to think that he should try and scare me. Everyone else there was just fine. I had no problems, I in fact had good repour with some of them. Orren however was violent. He threw stuff across the room when he would throw a tantrum. He would yell at me, not even use my actual name. He was disrespectful and rude. I was surprised that this was the sanctuary that they had gracefully advertised. By the 2nd or 3rd week I was there, I said that I had to leave. Orren then tried to guilt me to stay, saying I had nowhere to go. But eventually he did drive me to the nearest town, on that drive he tried to show off and speed through the mountains. Had Orren not been there, I probably would've stayed longer. I loved the land and the meadery they had going on there. Orren ruined the whole experience with his childish tantrums and behavior.

Four Quarters is such an amazing and wonderful place to be! I've attended Stones Rising there for many years and it is always an amazing event! Everyone is always friendly and welcoming. The meal plan is always good, hearty food. The bunks are clean and well kept. There's even a new laundry corner at the Coffee Dragon, which is a wonderful addition! The whole land is amazing to wander through and enjoy. There is so much thought and care put into their events and the land that I always leave feeling more refreshed and relaxed.

There are few places on Earth where I've felt as comfortable as I do when in these shared spaces. The people that live and work here always greet with open arms and a familiar smile. The beautiful and constant transformation of the land never ceases to amaze me yet there is a warm sense of security and consistency each time I visit. Whether you're staying here for a smaller or larger event there's always a way to create personal home for yourself and maintain a level of privacy during that time. Camping and lodging is ideal here any time of the year. Having access to bathrooms and running water is truly a game changer while having somewhat of a primitive camping scenario.

I attended my first stones rising event this past Labor Day weekend, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The people are great, and the natural surroundings are fantastic. Although my belief system differs from the majority of attendees, I share their respect for the Earth, and I find the stone ellipse to be a special place. I was honored to participate in the rising of an additional stone, and I hope to attend another event at Four Quarters in the future.

This place has shown me what it's like to work together with different people from all sorts of different backgrounds and upbringing. It has shown me that with community and set purpose, amazing things can get accomplished. The land here is magical, but don't take my word for it. Come and experience this amazing campground and see for yourself!

The amount of events and activities here are boundless and plentiful. The gratitude I have for the residents that work diligently each and every day here are immense. My own personal growth can be directly attributed to this place and the people who have guided me.

THANK YOU FOUR QUARTERS!

So I started coming here by accident. I had a camp elsewhere in Bedford County. But what's this? A music festival? So after Big Dub in 2018. I come to Four Quarters twice a year. Once to do some Midweek camping. And once for a sacred event. I love swimming under the bridge. And sleep like a log when camping under the hemlocks. I also like to take in a sweat lodge session. All faith is welcome here.

Just left Stone’s Rising, year 29! I had not been to the Farm in 10 years, and worried it may have changed, but the only changes were for the better. The lighting on the stones, the communal dining pavilion, the new cabins were all very good additions. The event was well run, and the kept to the schedule really well. The staff went out of their way to make everyone feel special and welcome. The food was well prepared and they had good vegan options for me. The rituals were creative and inclusive, and the singers and participants were amazingly talented. I never got to swim, or do a sweat lodge, but those who did seemed to love it. Kudos go to the extremely talented drummers and dancers at the fire circle. Special thanks to Chris for hosting a camp bardic circle, Kurt for teaching drumming, and to the great banjo player who entertained us! I also have to thank the lovely energetic Turkish woman who played the middle eastern drum at the Saturday fire circle. That was a circle I won’t forget for a long time! Last but not least, was a magical night at the labyrinth gazing at the moon and stars. I hope this land continues growing and evolving for many generations to come. It was heartwarming to see all the young people and children developing the special sense of community that can only be found struggling to pull a 5,500 pound stone to join its 65 brethren in the ring of standing stones. When all 120 stones are set it will be a monument to community and hard work for many generations to come.

Beautiful, spacious campgrounds. Modern bath houses, kind and friendly staff, and plenty of clean (and free!) drinking water.

This is the best church in the entire world! It has taken in so many people that were down in life, pick them up and got them back on their feet. They don’t ask you to join a cult, you are free to leave whenever you choose and your religious/spiritual beliefs are yours alone. Four Quarters will never dictate your spiritual path or lay down a set of dogmatic rules that you need to obey. (There are rules, but they’re for your safety and respect for the environment). If you truly believe in the 1st amendment and religious freedoms then Four Quarters is right for you. Peace and Love to All!

Four Quarters Interfaith Sanctuary and Farm is truly an incredible place you need to experience to believe. Between the beauty of the land and those who tend to it, it has so much to offer to anyone who comes. The music festivals hosted there bring so many beautiful people together that you are almost guaranteed to find beauty and connectedness in others. Even if music festivals aren't your thing and you want to casually camp, you will find connectedness with nature, and that can be a very powerful and therapeutic experience. Take it from someone who has experienced both ;)

A unique, sacred place to unplug from the matrix of modern life and enrich your spirit with nature, music, community, rhythm, friendship and creativity.

Our second time visiting Drum n Splash as a family of three - our 6yr old enjoys it. Lovely that she gets to run around with the other children on the grounds. The display for the parade is fun and we love that the organisers get the festival goers to participate. Friendly crowd. The drumming workshops, circle and music is wonderful. We always have a good time when we go. Thank You to the organisers and volunteers who make the event fun for all who attend.

Four quarters is a camp ground and event space in a deep forest. It is a church of nature surrounded by a slow moving, wide stream which is deep enough to swim in. It also has open buildings including a coffee and tea shop and running water bathrooms and showers.

My experiences here have been with gentle, intelligent people and interesting and soulful events such as drum and splash. It’s a place worth visiting to find peace and connection in nature in your own space.
