Fringe Salon, Philadelphia PA

I have been getting my hair cut and colored at Fringe for about a year. My hair has never felt so healthy, and has not been this long in many years. My hair is curly, and it has been difficult to find a salon that knows curly hair like Fringe does. Thank you to Fringe for keeping my curls looking great!

I got my hair cut here for the first time 2 weeks ago. The salon itself is great and super welcoming, however I paid $50 (for already having a pixie-cut length), and the hairdresser didn’t trim around my ears/back of my head at all. It looked pretty rough so I had to fix it at home. I’m not really sure that I’ll come back.

I cant even believe with all Im going through Im taking time to write this. So you know it's bad. The previous owner was great and my colorist Sue is great. The new owner Debbie should be ashamed of herself. Basically your Mom passed away oh well what does that have to do with me and my business. I've been driving to Fringe Salon for 12 years and asked for my formula to get my hair done for my Mother's funeral as I hadn't had it done since my Mom's fall in June. I couldn't travel an hour and leave my Mother's side. I was going to go local to try and get it done and have been coming out of state for years. Debbie The owner said, I'm not giving away the formula and your Mother's death has zero to do with my business. WOW!

I had my hair cut by Emmery and thought she did an excellent job with my curly hair! Curl specialists are difficult for me to find in this area so I would 10/10 recommend Fringe Salon. I'm always frustrated when curly cuts are $200-250 but Fringe Salon was reasonably priced and I didn't break my bank. I was long overdue for a cut and my curls are spiraled and bouncy once again. The layers blend in well with one another too.

It was my first time going to Fringe salon yesterday in South Philly and I had a really great experience. I called one day in advance to see if there were any openings and got an appointment. The desk person was clear and communicative with me on how to prepare for my appointment between letting me know about parking and getting into the building. My appointment with Tarah was great, she is so sweet and really knowledgeable about how to take care of wavy/curly hair. She gave me a great dry cut, then gave me one of the best washes and styles my hair has had in a long time, talking me through everything as she did it. The salon is really spacious and beautiful, kamboucha on tap while my hair dried, and kittys roaming around. Thanks Fringe!

Wow, so many amazing things to say about Fringe Salon. I was nervous to get my hair cut as I haven't gotten it cut in years, but Tarah did an absolutely incredible job! I went in with a reference photo and a specific style in mind, and I love that Tarah gave me the exact style I wanted. The staff is so knowledgable on curls and gave me pointers on products to use as well as how to apply them properly and combat my frizz. My curls have never looked so good. As someone who used to hide from my curls from the longest time, I really appreciate the confidence I have in my new style! (P. S.they have cats <3)

Nothing but good things to say about this place! Was greeted by a kind and helpful staff. Beth did my haircut. First of all, my hair was looking a hot mess before I got there and she truly just transformed it.

Julia did my wash and put the product in and made my curls look so hydrated and defined.she was also super super kind and I really enjoyed chatting with her. Everyone here seriously knows what they’re doing.

I’m new to the Philly area and they all really made me feel at home. Will definitely be coming back here for a follow up appointment!

Had my first curly cut (dry) with Tarah Yoder here last Friday on the 5th floor of the old Bok HS in South Philly. What an awesome experience! Shampoo person Julie and gave me some great pointers also. Will definitely go back again. If you are into Deva Curl, check it out.

Super cool studio in the lovely bok building, curl-talented stylists and excellent policies in place to ensure your satisfaction. If it’s your first time, allow 5 extra minutes to get up into the studio as the building is big.

Had an appointment for a curly cut with Tarah today and it couldn't have gone better. Not only did she give me a fantastic haircut (and fixed the terrible haircut I came in with), she also gave me a mini masterclass on how to best care for my curls at home. I would also like to mention that the pricing at this salon is phenomenal. If you have curls and have gotten your hair cut anywhere ever than you can relate to the price gouging that regularly occurs. What I paid here was 1/3 of what I was quoted at another salon. This place is top notch in my book. Go to Tarah for a cut and stay for the welcoming atmosphere and the resident salon kitties (Vidal and Sassoon).

How do I start.well firstly I was greeted warmly by Erin.even though I was not prepared she explained everything she had to do so I can start my curl journey and enjoy a great cut.well I left out of there so confident on my journey.curly ladies please visit.it is worth every penny. I felt like I had a one on one class with my hair teacher.love it Erin.

Best curly haircut I've ever had! The stylists really know their stuff and will give you the best cut for your hair type. Highly recommend to anyone with curly/textured hair.

All the ladies are very sweet! Shelly did an amazing job on my cut and color and I especially loved sweet Uli, who makes everyone feel so welcome!

I have been to Fringe for my last three curly cuts and each time has been a positive experience! Most recently I have had my hair cut by Tarah, who is so gentle it's borderline therapeutic. I showed her a reference for my haircut and she followed EXACTLY what I asked for. I have been getting non-stop compliments since! Thank you so much to everyone who works there for always making it such a relaxing and calm experience. I would recommend this salon to anyone whose looking to get a curly cut.

Got the best cut of my life here after resigning myself to a lifetime of stylists who couldn't deal with my long curls. The space is neat, too, and there is a shop cat.
