Front Street Diner reviews
15Wonderful diner not too far off my route through Harrisburg. Friendly, comfortable atmosphere and excellent staff. The food was very good and was brought out very quickly. Highly recommended.
A wide selection and low prices makes The Front Street Dinner a great location for breakfast or lunch (never been for dinner, so can't comment on that side).
A traditional diner with some great coffee. My only suggestion is to season and cook the food a little longer. Because it gets packed and busy, I'm sure the kitchen is rushing to keep up! Love the staff.

Great food, great prices and great people. I was a regular when I lived in the Harrisburg area and still go back occasionally even though it is a four hour drive. Yes, I will drive four hours just to stop at the diner. It really is that good.
Liver was very good. That is the only place I get liver. Not a long wait to receive our food. I always stop in when I have to go to Harrisburg pa. I try other foods as well
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE! (try the Triple Decker Club Turkey Sandwich)
We have ordered from this dinner for a few years now. Love this place.
I normally order the Triple Decker Club Turkey Sandwich and she gets a Grilled Cheese with fries. On the weekend She gets an American Cheese Omelet with onion and green peppers, home fries, and for me the Hamburger deluxe with everything. Out of all the times ordering there, the only mishap was one of our Turkey club sandwiches; had chips that were everywhere inside of the container. But other than that, nothing negative. I always call ahead for pick up but used to sit down and dine. You still can the service is always top-notch. I had the Steak from here it's good but not Steak house quality but very good. I do order it often. The desserts are fantastic! Did I mention the desserts are AMAZING! It can get crowded on the weekends. Overall if you’re looking for just a darn good meal for order out or dine in, you won’t go wrong with Front Street Diner. Barb and everyone there is friendly. Good people and good food!
I don't know what happened to this place
I don't know if it's under new management or different cooks but the quality isn't there anymore.
Very concerned about this place that I bragged up to everyone about
Improvements need to be made, you don't have to listen to me but when you start losing customers you'll know it
I ordered the typical breakfast of eggs, toast, home fries, scrapple and coffee. The food was on par with other decent diners in the area, and the coffee was better than average. We went on a Saturday morning with a group of ten, and it was packed. Our server was amazing, and we did not feel rushed. Since this place is in a former Ponderosa restaurant, there is plenty of seating. I will definitely be going back.
I've had great food experiences here and really horrible food experiences here. Scallops were wonderful. Desserts are wonderful. Breakfast tends to be great. The meatballs tasted like unseasoned cardboard. The spaghetti sauce is very bland and also tastes completely unseasoned. The Turkey dinner said it came with filling, but was more like a not so delectable mixture of bland filling and mashed potatoes. I was satisfied sometimes and totally disgusted others. 50/50 chance of good food isn't all that great of odds when going out to eat. My family has just chosen not eat there anymore.
Everytime I go here, it is packed. I ordered breakfast sandwich on a Croissant and it was huge. Very good, and I appreciate the egg on the top and another egg on the bottom of the meat. Eggs were cooked hard, not scrambled.
Hours changed due to COVID back in April. Closes around 10 pm. No longer 24 hours. Swung by on a trip back and noticed hours changed. Cannot evaluate food as we didn’t eat here.
I don't think you want to ask me the experience we had. Had to cancel my coffee halfway through the meal because I did not receive it and let me just say something smelt in Denmark.
Food is good here, service as well.
Been going here for a while with no issues.
Would've given 5 stars but I paid $12 for crab stuffed mushrooms and got normal size crab cakes on mushrooms about the size of a quarter. Got them to go so I didn't realize it till we got home. Not the best 12 bucks I ever spent.
