Terrible customer service, older woman on the phone was extremely rude and nasty. Get a new receptionist!

They seem to be an incredibly unprofessional company. I have paid my Local taxes already through my own means. Yet I received a letter in the mail stating that I " completely ignored their notice" which I was out of the country during June and July. I'm sorry but whoever wrote this letter needs to be reprimanded.

I originally left a very negative review, however since speaking to Valerie, I have changed my mind about this company- or at least about the customer service aspect of this company. Yesterday I received a "5 Day Notice" in regards to unpaid school taxes for an address I have not lived at for over five years. I emailed GH Harris yesterday afternoon and received a response from Valerie this morning. Valerie was extremely pleasant, had great communication, & was very helpful in sorting out my issue. I give Valerie five stars. I am, however, deducting a star because the letter I received was unnecessarily harsh & threatening. The letter stated that if payment was not received in five days, a public sale of my personal goods and chattels would be held to recover the amount of my delinquent taxes, plus all applicable penalties and costs. Big yikes. I understand that this company's sole purpose is obtaining unpaid taxes, however I personally feel like there is a better way to do business than that. It's 2023, we are in a silent depression. Inflation is the highest it's ever been, and people are struggling. Being kind goes a long way.

The woman who answered the phone was rude, combative, wouldn’t tell me her name and refused to offer any help. Would give zero stars if available

Got a letter stating I owed school taxes for an address I haven’t lived at for seven years. Valerie was polite and explained to me that it was a mistake. It’s not their fault they’re only doing their job. It’s your old or current township that’s at fault so call and yell at them.

Sent me a letter saying i owe 2022 local tax for an area that I have not lived in since early 2020. Doesnt make much sense. They also couldnt even get the spelling of my last name correct which shows how dim witted and incompetent these collection places are. DONT GIVE THESE BOTTOM FEEDING LOW LIFES A DIME OF YOUR MONEY! CONTACT A LAWYER FIRST

If I could give them a zero I would! Totally unprofessional, sending threatening letters, saying they will take my house! I'm going to call my local township/school district and see what can be done!
