Gardners Candies reviews
19I am so happy my friend brought me to this candy store. I found out that the sister company was Sarris Candies. The smell of chocolate when we entered made my mouth water. I love history and the candy exhibit in the back. It was like a mini museum. I bought a bunch of gifts that came already wrapped for Christmas too.
This location is nostalgic to me. I used to live up the street from here for 10 years of my life. I love the old timey feel to it. The candy and chocolate are just incredible here. Everything is fresh and worth the price. I love the peanut butter meltaways of course. And their chocolate caramels are so good. The employees at this store are always so friendly and helpful. They are clean and very efficient. I always stop here when I am in town now that I have moved away.
Delicious chocolate! I love their chocolate covered pretzels and chocolate covered potato chips. Very helpful and friendly staff. Very clean store. There is an awesome little museum attached to the store and an old time ice cream shop. Well worth the visit.
In a nestled little town called Tyrone, there is this gourmet chocolate shop I noticed on my way to Altoona. So I stopped and I'm glad I did. Their chocolate is the best I've had, including import chocolate. Very smooth and not granular tasting. Ive tried most of their chocolate and was never disappointed. I now make it a stop when I'm in the area and stock up, and so should you. You won't regret it
Excellent candy, excellent customer service. Even had their famous Peanut Butter Meltaways shipped down to Georgia so my students could experience them.
Best candy shop in the USA! Everything is delicious and it feels like stepping back in time to what a classic American candy store would be. Thank you for continuing the tradition and keeping a quality product alive.
This is the best candy store ever! The staff is wonderful! Very nice and helpful! I love it!
Gardiners used to be in Berwick Pa and Philipsburg we always stoped and it became a foamy tradition for tat all holidays. We made a special trip to take our kids to Tyrone. The milk chocolate melt away s are the best candy you will ever put in your mouth th store is so much fun
Super place! Delicious candy of all kinds. Ice cream parlor. Museum of candy making. Friendly staff.
Beautiful old fashioned candy store.antique candy making equipment. Delicious.chocolates.candy.old-fashioned ice cream store in back too.with yummy Hershey's ice cream hand dipped. Such a beautiful store. Great date place! People who work there are exceptionally kind, helpful, and friendly! It's like stepping back in time and the candy is worth the trip. So delicious!
Always a great place to take grandkids so they can pick out their own candy. The chocolate is also very good.
Wow what a amazing place. I have not seen somthing like this since I was a kid. The amount of ice cream you get is well worth the price they charge. 1.00 more for additional scoop. Scoops are huge! Candy cases are fiiled like bakery stores from years gone by. A must stop and vist.
The candy is delicious! The staff is super friendly, and they have a cool museum to look through also. I'm going to have to come back by and try the ice creams
Hersheys Ice Cream is the bomb!
Decided to get 2 scoops so I could get 2 flavors! Each scoop was like 2! I had a ginormous bowl of ice cream in front of me. I had to eat it!
Honey roasted peanut butter ice cream with a creamy honey roasted peanut butter twist and yummy chocolate flakes.
Rich dark chocolate ice cream paired with a hazelnut fudge and crunchy chocolate cookies. Now this was some serious chocolate ~that's what I'm talking bout!
My wife and I used to live approximately 30 minutes from this candy store. We visited many times in the past and it brings back many fond memories. Highly recommend.
Local central Pennsylvania classic. For a century this has been the place to go for the famous peanut butter meltaways. Always fresh, affordable and reasonably priced. This locations has a candy and chocolate type museum of their products and history over the years. Would recommend stopping if you are in the Tyrone area.
Grew up going here. Things have changed since then.but it's always a taste of home and my childhood.friendly staff!
Friendly staff. Wide selection of sweets and nuts. Free gift wrapping. Lots of packaged candies and old-time penny candies and novelties in addition to the Gardner's traditional merchandise. There's even fudge now. Have a rewards program to earn money off future purchases. Were busy at time I was shopping and I was waited on quickly and efficiently. I totally recommend giving this place your business because they will not disappoint. 5 stars!
I like the candy but the Ice Cream is what I really go for. It's Hershetlys and the best there is around. Plus they get teaberru flavored
