If I could give 0 stars, you bet that’s what this hospital would get. My mother has been seen at this hospital many of times and has mentioned some of the horrible experiences she has went through. Besides the nurses with no bedside manners, this hospital has only made my mothers condition worse to the point where she is fighting to stay alive. Each time my mother had expressed her concerns, not one person in this hospital showed an ounce of compassion and it is disgraceful. Even the doctors have no empathy. So happy my mother got a second opinion and will not being going here anymore. Listen to the reviews and stay away! These people are not to trust especially with another persons life!

I had a US of my leg and they found a blood clot. I was ordered to go through the er so I could be admitted.

I was given a room in the er but not given any information. I have never had a blood clot before so I had no idea how it would be treated. I was never told not to get up and walk around.

A nurse came into my room looking frazzled and so exhausted. I had been in the room waiting for 6 hours for someone to come in. She kept apologizing to me. Apparently, she was the only one working the er and the entire emergency room was full including the hallways.

This lovely nurse explained to me about my DVT. Informed me that I cannot walk around at all. She even managed to get a chair on wheels to roll me to the bathroom since I hadn't been able to go for 15 hours.

The er is a joke. It needs to be managed better while still treating patients with care and consideration. While I was fortunate to have such a wonderful nurse, there is something fundamentally wrong with a hospital that allows for only one person to man the er.

I was in the room in the er for 19 hours. It took that long for a bed to become available. All those claims from Geisinger how the hospital addition was supposed to help with wait times, were false. If you go to the er, be prepared to wait for hours upon hours.

This is the most heartbreaking experience I've ever had at any geisinger location. Came in for chest pain, triage was so kind. Beyond that so so sad. I was thrown in a stretcher in the hall (I completely understand very busy) I am visibly shivering, no blanket or pillow offered. Threw up and had to beg for a drink of water. Never assigned a nurse. Not one human would make eye contact w me. I am really struggling to write this, as I always recommend geisinger and also sing the praises of all staff. I feel invisible in a hospital full of humans. I keep praying this service will somehow get better. It's been hours and not even a word. I'm literally against the nurses station. This is the saddest Geisinger experience. Try another emergency room if your looking for compassion.

I picked up my patient who has gone through emergency as well as operating room. I tried to get he medicine from the drugstore they have mentioned on the prescription they handed to the patient. The drugstore informed me she is not in the system for any prescriptions.

I called Geisinger Community Medical Center and they were claiming the patient has not been discharged. I should have picked up my patient in my dreams!

I called them again, this time they claimed they have no records of this patient ever coming to the Medical Center. I guess my patient standing by my side is imaginary!

If you take anyone to this “Medical Center” consider the risk of disappearing to the list

I had the absolute pleasure of entrusting my son's care to Nolan after he sustained a laceration to his head. From the moment we met Nolan, his genuine compassion shone through, making us feel at ease during a stressful time. Not only did he respond swiftly, but his efficiency was astounding. Nolan took the time to thoroughly explain each step of the procedure, ensuring we understood everything before proceeding. This level of attentiveness and expertise is unparalleled in my extensive experience with emergency rooms.

I cannot emphasize enough how highly I recommend Nolan. If there were an option to give him 10 stars, I would do so without hesitation. His exceptional care has left an indelible mark on our family, and we are truly grateful for his dedication. I will be reaching out to management to express our immense appreciation for Nolan's outstanding service.

The ladies that scan you in are very nice and patient, even pretty funny. Then you go to the check in. Moves swiftly, The wait in the ER was of normal waiting time.
I like how after triage you get your blood/urine samples done while waiting in the ER.
When the testing was completed and the prescriber came in with the paperwork, I just wasn't satisfied with the outcome.
I was told to follow up with our MD in 2 days. So I am still so confused about her diagnosis!? Our MD had sent us to the ER for the severe pain this child was in! Now they are sending us back to him? Well as we sat in the little side room away from the ER waiting room, trying to wrap my head around the quick dismissal to exit the quiet little place. This stern and rude nurse came in and told us to leave, and started talking down to us, raising her voice and being highly unprofessional after she was asked a question about something simple, with her face turning bright red, after the person I was with asked her not to speak to people like that, for we overheard her talking about us to the other nurses that we had talked to earlier in the day. As we were walking out of the room, they were all lined up, looking at us as if we were beneath them! Some of these nurses or helpers really need to get a bedside manner!

ER is terrible. Long wait times. Very rude staff. Staff telling me someone’s already given me a medication when they didn’t (concerned for who they did give it to). The PA was extremely rude and dismissive in general. My nurse was nice but must have been a new grad or something as she kept getting basic medical knowledge mixed up and used my arms as a black and blue pin cushions for 6 separate IV placement attempts. Finally asked for someone else who easily got it on the first try.

My husband has been sitting in your emergency room for almost 6.5 hours today, 3/29/23 and hasn't been seen by a doctor. I sat with him for over 3 hours however my newborn ran out of breast milk and my pump battery died so I had to leave. I just got off the phone with someone named Amber who answered the emergency room phone at 6: 15pm. She was extremely rude, arrogant, and should be ashamed at the way she spoke to a patient's spouse. She told me I should have access to medical records that aren't in his chart, she then questioned if I was there with him (which I explained I had to leave and why, but I don't know why that mattered), and she basically said my husband's level 10 pain was not important and he would be seen when he is seen. This is a disgraceful way to handle Patients care when they are in their most vulnerable state.

Just an update: 8 and a half hours.that's how long my husband sat in the waiting room waiting to be seen by a doctor.

He didn't get a CT scan until approx 13 hours after arrival.

Absolutely ridiculous. Sitting in the ER for over 4 hours with a friend. Severe kidney pain, peeing blood & not an emergency.

7 hours in the ER waiting room, told multiple times it's because the beds are full. Finally get into an ER bed and NONE of the hallway beds are filled. Nurses openly talking about how poorly geisinger treats them and how they are understaffed and trying to leave. Told us how they'll spend millions on new buildings but not expanding ER services. STAY AWAY try the new LVHN ER in Dickson city, I hear it's much better.

Currently Waiting for 5.5 hours in the emergency room. What a joke there's no haiste to there work ethic. Watched a guy who was in tears walk out because he was waiting for 4 hours. Wish I could give 0 stars. This is ridiculous.

Unfortunately couldn’t give zero stars which is deserved. Brought my mother because her sugar was over 600 and dehydrated. We waited over 10 hours in the waiting room. When finally taken back was put in the hall and awaited there for another 2 hours before seen. Finally came and said they were admitting her, then waited another hour for them to even give her an IV. They did blood work in the waiting room and triage right there in front of everyone which should be against hippa. You shouldn’t have your vitals checked 3 times in the waiting room if it needs to be done every four hours that is ridiculous.when she got in her room she asked if she could shower at some point the next day and was told they should be able to make it work. The shower in her bathroom is filled with the travel toilets and other medical equipment. When I go back I will be sure to take photos to add to this review. I understand you maybe short staffed but that is uncalled for and unprofessional. You need to do better.

Do NOT go there with heart attack symptoms. They’ll let you sit in a waiting room, send a nurse for blood an tell you, “well you have no visible bone petrusions and not a gunshot victim so your not priority, but I’ll be back in 1 hour for more blood…”

Today (30/3/23), I called an ambulance to my house cause I had a high fever and couldn’t breathe very well. I have very severe copd and I also tested positive to COVID.
The ambulance came to pick me up but was very negative to bringing me to the hospital!
After I insisted they drove me to Geisinger where my doctor is and all my records. It’s the first time they sat me in a wheel chair out in the waiting room with another 30-40 people!
Because of my illness they always put me in a room with a bed.
To make a long story short, I have been sitting here for more than 3 hours, no doctors, no nurses, just waiting for my blood test results.
Chances are I will look for another health care provider because Geisinger has gone downhill and does not provide the services it used to!

Care here is terrible I wouldn’t bring my dog or cat here.
