Bring back walking hours, I need to make a sick visit and hate going to med express or urgent care

Dr. Schogel has been our family doctor for many, many years and I cannot imagine going anywhere else! The entire staff is thorough and attentive and make you feel so welcomed when you are there.
I have come to love and appreciate Laurie so much. She has such an attention to detail and I know when she tells me she is going to do something it will be done. I really can't recommend this practice enough!

WORST experience EVER! Was a patient for over 20 years.in the time my care from doctors and medical staff was good. Office staff = HORRIBLE. I had a "fasting" appointment booked weeks in advance. Showed up ON TIME for appointment, was told "OH you were due here a half an hour ago". NOT the case. Staff terribly rude, and charged me $ 50.00 "NO SHOW FEE". WOW! Tried to call and talk to anyone in billing, after explaining situation you would think I was a CRIMINAL! SO RUDE! I asked to talk to billing manager, was told "she will not speak to you"
WOW! Very sad to even take the time to write this, changed doctors. STAY FAR AWAY!

One of the most unprofessional practices I have ever dealt with. They were OK until I became diagnosed with an ailment that required a higher level of care. They decided that I was "too high maintenance" of a patient to treat. They honestly refused my calls for medical assistance for that sole reason. They then told me to go somewhere else entirely. Do not waste your time nor risk your health with this practice. They only care about profit, not your well being. I had dealings with Dr. Shogel, PA Brooke Barnhart, and Dr. Fardo. My reviews are based on my interactions with them. They are awful at their jobs.

My PCP has her office here it's Dr. Fardo, she is a good physician though I would avoid talking politics with her, the rest of the staff including the nurses and nurse practitioners are all good and very friendly, and they provide prompt and thorough service

Brooke takes her time with you she doesn’t rush she reviews everything in detail and explains everything. She is very kind and compassionate.

This morning, I had my annual physical with Dr. Fardo. As usual, she was very nice, and more importantly, diligent. She reminded me that I need to regularly see my other healthcare professionals like my dentist and eye doctor because they are also very important to my overall health. I would like to give a special shout out to one of the staff members. Her name is Taylor and she is always so incredibly cheerful when I come in. She also does a fabulous job taking my blood. She takes her time and I can hardly feel the pinch. Thank you Taylor and Dr. Fardo for once again making my annual physical as pleasant as possible.

Rachael was very thorough and discussed all of my questions and concerns. She also assisted with finding a discount option for a medication not covered by my insurance. She is following up on all issues with referrals.

We really liked the practice at first but we are now looking for a new PCP. I have not been able to get an appointment in person since the pandemic. Any time I have so much as a cough they insist on a telemedicine appointment. I truly dislike this because I would appreciate having my lungs listened to and my throat and ears checked. In September, I called on a Friday morning and was given a telemedicine appointment for the following Wednesday. I was feeling horrible so I went to Med Express. I had fluid building in my lungs due to pneumonia. They would not have been able to diagnosis this on line and by the following week it would have been serious.

I will not be going back.

Rachel is always pleasant. She seems genuinely concerned about you and your health. I never feel rushed and I am comfortable with her to ask or share anything with her. I give her 5 stars!

She asks all right questions and very good at explaining diagnosis.and gives 100% of her time for you I never feel.like I'm being rushed because there is someone next.

The Schogel and Fardo Family Medicine practice has provided my healthcare for more than 20 years. Prior to this I had been to numerous practitioners in the area who left much to be desired. I’ve primarily been seen by Dr. Fardo, and I find her to be very personable, caring and knowledgeable, and I’ve never felt I was being rushed; she has always been diligent in diagnosing any health problem that has arisen. When I began having difficulty with my pharmacy, Brooke stepped up and quickly resolved the issues. The front office staff have always been gracious, helpful and friendly, most particularly Lori. She has always been very kind and responsive and I believe she is a very valuable part of the staff. I always recommend this practice to new acquaintances.

While Schogel and Fardo may be wonderful PCPs, they were ineffective as attending physicians at UPMC Cranberry. I think they are not experienced enough to properly deal with ED cases/hospitalization. We transferred my mother to UPMC McCandless after having her admitted to UPMC Cranberry under Fardo's and Schogel's care. I would recommend physicians associated with UPMC vs.the Genesis Group (which Fardo and Schogel are associated with) if you are dealing with anything critical.

Unable to handle rare medical genetic diseases. They make you feel like a number and are unable to communicate in a timely fashion if it is not profitable to them.

I have been a patient for 20 years. Today was the first time I was treated like a number. I arrived at 8: 06 for an 8: 15 appointment. I was told that I was late and seeing a different PA. I was not informed that my time was changed to 8AM. I was not informed that I was seeing a different PA. For the first time ever the staff was very curt with me during my appointment. It was my yearly check up. Very little was checked. I had to have blood draw. They stuck me twice and sent me to hospital because they couldn't get a vein. I will only see Dr. Schogel going forward. She would have taken time to ask about my current cancer diagnosis and lump in my breast.
