Genova's To Go Hanover

As I entered for lunch, I was immediately greeted by the person behind the counter. He was friendly. I ordered the lunch special which was a half steak sub, salad and drink. The food came out quickly. It was a little skimpy on the meat. It was tasty. The restaurant was clean.

Came here for the first time in what feels like a few years. We got the pizza, fries, curly fries, mozzarella sticks, and a turkey sub (which is not pictured). Everything tasted just like it did the last time I was here, which was delicious. The sub eater said that everything inside of the sub was delicious, but that the roll was very, very chewy.

This used to be one of my favorites. Last time was so terrible I can't go back. Either there's new management or a new cook. The pizza sauce tasted completely different and was not good. It 100% was not the same recipe or ingredients they had been using for years. It's a real shame they changed it.

They changed their subs as well. Way less fillings so it's mostly just bread.

I suppose it could have been an off day but off days usually don't result in wildly different pizza sauce flavors.

Superb! Consistency across the board!
Most local restaurants who have multiple locations suffer from a lack of consistency in the food, atmosphere and service. Genova's, I am proud to say broke that. I have been to 3 of their locations over the last few months and found everything to be perfect every time I have gone. I order the same dishes the club wrap with french fries and cannoli to go and it is heavenly. I shall boast about the fast Italian restaurant for while as I continue to be hungry for more.

Ordered 2 medium pepperoni pizzas. They were over cooked and dried out. Then I called and told the manager and she said they would send me out 2 new pizzas. That took an hour to get them and they weren't much better. As a customer that has been going to Genovas for many years, I am truly disappointed in their service and food.

Tried the cheese steak sub for the first time you can get a 6 or 12 inch it's pretty big sandwich I had tried their pizza years ago and it was real good

I just half-finished my last pizza from this Genova’s location. I kept coming hoping that it would get better, but this doesn’t even taste like the Genova’s recipe anymore. Cheese, sauce and crust are different.

Plus when you order extra sauce, they take your order, but have simply stopped putting extra sauce on. If you check it during pick up and find no extra sauce, and ask for a cup on the side, they start ringing up a 75 cent new order. That after you tipped the guy 2 bucks. You say, “Hey, I wouldn’t be asking, but I can’t see any extra sauce on this”. Just keeps ringing it up.

Look, my theory is that some slob bought this location and ruined it. And it’s going to stay ruined.

Not again. Restaurants go to hell if the owners let go.

Decided to order delivery today. Very polite driver showed up 5-10 minutes before estimated delivery time frame. Food was hot. We ordered lasagna and a turkey wrap. Wife is in love with the lasagna. Have ordered here before and will be repeat customers!

The California cheesesteak here is to die for! No one else’s bread in this area stacks up to Genova’s. Pizza, Mac and cheese bites and tuna subs are equally awesome. Try the peanut butter pie. It is huge and tastes like Heaven.

Ordered a pizza pie and steak sub for delivery. Pizza was great and loved the steak sub on homemade bread. Will order again in the future or stop by

The food that we've had is really good. We love their cheese steak subs and the wings. The bread for the sub rolls is awesome. The problem we have is that we pay for extra steak. 2Xs we didn't get the extra steak (it's pretty obvious). The last order we reminded them to put the extra steak on and it took. We also had to remind them to put the old bay on our last order of wings. The first old bay wings order we received was bare wings.

My husband stopped at 8: 40 to pick up one order of pasta salad he was told they were no longer taking orders they don't close till 9 he did not ask for anything to be cooked baked or fried simple order of pasta salad to go but he was denied sorry we order weekly we are now done. Not the first time. Change your closing time.

Typical pizza joint fare. Good but nothing special. A place we'd do again if in the area but not worth a drive through town.
On a good note, the staff was spending their down time cleaning, so kudos! Place was very clean.
