George's Cleaners reviews
8I have been using this cleaner for years. I gave them three stars for that reason, but I will not be back after today. I have not publicly criticized any business for how they are handling the pandemic because I know businesses are in a tough spot, but today at George's I went in and the clerk was not wearing a mask. This is annoying, but plenty of places I frequent have clerks not wearing a mask so I don't see it as a huge deal. Tonight, however, the clerk coughed multiple times into her hands before making change for me wow also not wearing a mask. I washed and sanitized my hands after leaving and I am sure I will be fine, but I'm not comfortable giving my money to businesses who are that blatant with putting their customers at risk.
I was a regular until the pandemic happened, almost a decade. I had to try a diffrent dry cleaners as they were closed and since re-opened the hours are diffrent. I have learned that my new dry cleaner, is cheaper, faster, more helpful, and has better hours. Thanks for helping me find a better dry cleaner. I also appreciate how the folks that work the counter are NOT on cell phones, dressed for work, and care. Dealing with the kids who looked like they just woke up and I was bothering them was old too.
Put wholes in 3 of my husbands dress shirts. Poor customer service from management. We will not be back and cannot recommend.
Horrible service and over priced. Had 4 pair of pants to be altered. They messed up the length and when I asked from them to fix their mistake, they told me they would charge me again. Was supposed to take 2 weeks, ended up being 4 weeks. STAY AWAY AND DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!
They ruined my dress! I asked them to hem a very long dress a few days before a wedding I had to attend. I tried on the dress with the shoes I intended on wearing. The dress had a small train on it which I asked them to get rid of and make the whole dress one length. They said no, that's how the manufacturer made it. They were suppose to cut the dress to be an inch above the ground with my 3 1/2" heels on.
It ended up being a little more than they quoted, but I was still pleased they got it done in time. This was the night before the wedding. I tried it on before I packed it and it was an inch above the ground without shoes! It was embarrassingly noticeable when I put my shoes on that it was short. I had no choice but to wear the dress with flats as I didn't have time to shop for another one or go back to complain.
Fairly expensive I think. All the Cleaners are expensive here. I just moved here, PA, from TX. Cleaners are way cheaper in Houston.
It was fun to drop off work clothes when the gross lady behind the counter used to hit on me-at least I had some entertainment. They are terrible at sewing patches on uniforms correctly. Stitched repairs fall apart. By the way, when the gross lady behind the counter started texting me when she got my number from my account I was done patronizing.
The Adolescent Girl was extremely rude, incredible amount of attitude out of a bratty teen wearing a cross. I am sure her Leper Messiah would have protested if she were to handle his garment. I went straight to Classic Drycleaners down the road. They were most helpful, very nice.
