Gerhard's Appliances, Glenside PA

It is only every so often that an appliance needs to be replaced, but every time I need one, Gerhards is the place I always buy from. From being beyond knowledgeable about every single item, to the promptness of answering questions and resolving them, to the amazing team that comes out to deliver and take away the old products, Gerhards has always been our go to place!

Customer service is as bad as the big box stores. I bought a refrigerator from them because I though they would be better to deal with, boy was I wrong

Update; they called me and seemed genuinely concerned about my issues and did what they could to remedy the situation. Thank you gerhards

Appliances are great. I bought a brand new fridge, washer, dryer, microwave, double wall oven, dishwasher, cooktop, and hood. That’s a lot of appliances from one business. I’m glad I did. VERY Professional. Delivery was fast. No need to wait an extended amount of time once appliances were in the warehouse. Communication with the Sales contact Phil in Glenside was phenomenal. A+ for Phil. I plan on going back to them and Phil in particular for more items. Nice job. Love them!

Salesperson was amazingly helpful. If the website says unstick and IN THE WAREHOUSE it is! Unlike other appliances retailers. Delivery was on time and uneventful. Couldn’t ask for better shopping experience and reliability.

We are in the process of getting a complete kitchen renovation. Our designer recommended another appliance dealer but their follow up was awful. I am a big Consumer Reports fan and I do my research. I decided on the appliances and went to Gerhard's.this is my neighborhood store and we have had good experiences in the past. They young man who helped us (Chris) was surprisingly knowledgeable and helpful. We stopped in another time and another staff member was equally helpful. We mad some changes in our initial order and several changes in the delivery date. Gerhard's was very accommodating. I check prices at Home Depot and Lowe's and Gerhard's was the same or lower. We got a generous discount for buying all appliances there

I would like to say that the customer service was outstanding from the time we walked in the store until the day of delivery. Everyone was courteous, kind and most of all patient with answering all of our questions. I will always recommend Gerhards Appliances.

Gerhard's did a fantastic job of getting us a new stainless double oven when we need it most. In the dead of winter when the old one stopped working completely. The install was quick, professional, and easy to schedule.

Last week we used them again for a beautiful new stainless dishwasher! Again, the process was painless and easy!

I'm sure we'll complete the trifecta in the future. Our old fridge is not stainless and it's getting more noticeable each day lol!

I've used Gerhard's twice in the last few months. Once to replace a wall oven and a second time to replace a clothes dryer. Both times, the sales people and the installers were courteous and efficient. It's a pleasure to deal with Gerhard's Appliances.

Gerhards provided excellent service. Ed answered my questions about the washing machine I was looking to order and beat the price of the big box stores given a rebate that was not available elsewhere. When I had a question about the unit prior to delivery, it was answered quickly and accurately. Delivery was quick, set up at my convenience, and the delivery team (Mike and crew) were most professional and accommodating. They took the time not only to install my washer, but to level and adjust my existing dryer to align with my washer. I would rate them top of any delivery team I have had provide service. I would definitely order from Gerhards again.

Wanted a very basic washer. It turned out that it was too large to fit down the basement steps. We had to change models but the employee worked with us on the price change that came along with it which was appreciated!

Dan Smith was very knowledgeable and helped point us in the right direction! After purchasing, communication was constant and delivery was prompt. Even when the oven was damaged, they informed us right away and got a new one out the next business day. The delivery guys were careful and effective! I highly recommend

Started reviewing portable air conditioners online. Checked prices and various options. Since we have made several purchases at Gerhards over the years, decided that was the place to go. They were busy, but we were greeted right away. Within just a few minutes we were being helped by Dave. He was knowledgeable about the product we were interested in. It was in stock at the warehouse, and they could have in ready for us to pick up within a few days. Very satisfied with Gerhard's price and sales associates.

I will never buy appliances from anyone except Gerhards again! I walked in, had a great salesman who helped me pick out a new washer and dryer in about 10 minutes and two days later they were delivered and installed. Perfect.

One of the best shopping experiences ever! The people in the store were thorough and very pleasant and helpful. I had to postpone delivery several times because of contractor delays, and they were wonderful about it. I kept thinking that if this had been Big Box store (you know who I mean), they would have wanted me to pay for storing them-and then it happened on another ordere! Thank you, Gerhard's.

Shop local first! You can’t beat Gerhard’s service and commitment to the community. They are appliance experts and have supported the community for years. And, their prices were as good as Costco with better customer service!

Jerry was great! My husband and I are in a middle of a renovation and Gerhard's made arrangements for our appliances to be delivered to a different location and even offered to bring the appliances to our current home once the renovation is complete.

The top rack of our dishwasher broke. As it was 20 years old, replacement parts were not available, so we had to look for a new one. To further complicate our search, we needed a panel-ready dishwasher. After looking online at various models, we decided to go to Gerhard's to get a look in person. We were helped by John, who told us there was nothing readily available that would fit the panel, and it would be almost a year before a new one shipped. Dejected, we put the order in and left. But, John didn't stop there. He not only found an open box Miele (new, not used) in the warehouse, but it cost less than the one we ordered and $1500 less than a brand new Miele! We had purchased from Gerhard's in the past, but this experience guaranteed we'll use them again for other appliances.

From beginning to end, I had great service. I did an online chat, I called the online phone number, and then visited the Glenside store. The salesman heard that I knew exactly what I wanted and helped me find it. I had to have the door-in-door feature. In an emergency, I had delivery fast. The delivery guys were phenomenal-efficient, polite and fast. Hopefully I won't need their service department for a long time.

Great experience! We needed a new OTR microwave. After a few “big box” shopping trips, I decided to try Gerhard’s in Glenside. I entered, and was immediately greeted by Dave. He took me to his desk, listened to me, asked some questions, then offered some suggestions. I chose one of these and scheduled installation for the following Monday (3 days later). I was on my way in 30 minutes.
Delivery/installation was excellent. I got a text Sunday giving me the approximate time. Monday morning I got an email confirming they were on their way with a link to a real time status page with updates on the ETA. A final text came when they were 10 minutes away. A 3 man crew arrived, took the old microwave, installed the new microwave, set the clock, and heated some water to be sure it worked OK. They showed me the basic functions and answered my questions. They were gone in less than an hour. The only evidence of their visit was my new microwave. I will be returning to Gerhard’s!

I had a lackluster experience. Great show room however the oven I purchased was delivered dented. This is not the fault of the salesmen but when I called to request a replacement they made me feel like I was inconveniencing them. I spent a good amount of money on this appliance and the customer service was poor. I live in the area and would prefer to shop at smaller businesses instead of big box but this was not been favorable from start to finish.
