Grocery Store GIANT reviews
20Clean, friendly atmosphere. Cashiers are cordial and there is enough staff to ensure a speedy checkout.
It's your basic grocery store, with a decent selection, it had a few hard to find items, but it took a while to check out.
Pros - good selection of various groceries which is helpful depending on the dish, so I didn't have to order anything from online. The organic, gluten-free items are on 2 sections which makes it easy to shop for those items.
Cons - not enough cashiers and the self checkout scanner is awful, every other item set off the need assistance flag. I was a former cashier and have used self checkout in several other stores and never had that many issues with one.
Overall I will probably go back, but never if I'm in a rush.
This is my home Giant but it has problems, mostly with stocking. Many basic items are often not on the shelves. The nearby Acme doesn't have this problem. Rumor has it that Giant really suffers from supply chain issues post COVID.
If you have a loyalty card, you can pick up a scanner as you enter the store. Scan as you place each item into your bag. You will see the price and the running total. Checkout takes me about 30 seconds. You scan the scanning device and then tap your credit card, pick up your receipt and leave. Very easy. Store has good selection and store brands are good quality and price.
A well run grocery store. Friendly staff, a clean and neat shop.
Giant as a whole has good selection and decent, if not the best, prices.
Hugeeeeee.very well stocked, friendly cashier too.plenty of cashiers available.clean, plenty of carts.they have my favorite smaller carts too.huge parking lot also.i found everything I was looking for.will definitely return
Produce seems to be going downhill. Maybe they're using different vendors? Bought apples and oranges. Both subpar. Used to be better.
Produce is better, as of 4/22. They also seem to be able to replace some items that were missing for a while due to supply chain issues, so better -stocked.
10/5/22
Showing signs of not restocking shelves and not having certain items they always carried before. Maybe supply chain issues or not enough employees to keep shelves stocked. Looking kind of bare in places. A bit depressing. Like the recession has started and this is what we have to look forward to
The store is very dirty and the store manager is extremely rude and disrespectful. He talks over you and will not try to hear you out. Him as well as the other short guy with white hair.
The store is always clean and well stocked. But lately we have been concerned with check-out. If you don't take extra care you can get screwed not on purpose but small mistakes that make you go back to the counter to settle on the screw up's. The produce is extremely expensive so we have been opting to shop a produce junction better products and price. It is a small drive but worth it if you want fresh and more items to chose.
They were fully stocked with everything I wanted plus a few extra items on sale. The lady on the self-checkout line was very helpful.
Very nicely stocked store. My go-to for certain items: Method body wash, fiber and protein instant oatmeal, gluten-free products.
I love that this store has great produce selections including fresh organic options. They also have a good selection of items with healthier ingredients than many traditional brands, which I also love. The store is welcoming and clean and I usually have a very pleasant shopping experience. I would recommend that they get more help in the deli though. I've been there a couple of times when it took a long time to get anyone's attention to ask a question. Including one time when I was picking up catered food platters at a scheduled time. The other time I was ordering fresh cold cuts. It seemed like the staff were overwhelmed with the volume or didn't care much to offer great service. Another shopper that was there at the time was visibly very disappointed and decided to leave.
Although I shop at Acme & Fresh Grocer as well, Giant is my favorite. I always find what I'm looking for as well as things I just don't see at the other stores. And the floral & bakery sections never disappoint!
I drive a bit out of my way to shop Flourtown Giant. Fresh produce, great deals, good wine selection and their baked goods never disapoint.
Deli needs more staff slicing for those who are waiting for items instead of everyone slicing for the kiosk then the people waiting. I waited longer for deli items than my shopping actually took.
My Issue Is NOT With This Specific Store. I Actually Love Shopping In-Person At This Location. My Issue Is With Giant Direct Delivery Service. I've Had To Cancel My Order TWICE Due To Them Being INSANELY Late. After The Order Was Canceled, The Driver STILL Delivered The Items Around 12am (Because My Camera Recorded It), And Left The Groceries OUTSIDE ALL NIGHT. Honestly, I Give The Delivery Service ZERO Stars. You'd Be Better Off Ordering From Amazon Fresh Or Shopping In-Person.
My car’s battery died while I was in the store. I asked a young man named Noam working behind the customer service counter to help me jump it. He didn’t think twice, asked for his managers approval, and was able to get me up and running & on my way within minutes. It was a selfless act and he didn’t think twice to lend a hand and help out. Not to mention it was raining outside. He deserves recognition for going above and beyond. Thank you Noam!

They were light on shopping carts. I saw the manager out in the parking lot helping bring in carts. That’s a good manager. Will shop here again
Nice experience except for the service at the alcohol register. The black woman there was not friendly at all. Inform her that customer service and manners are required!
I am satisfied with the meat selection, ACME and Wegmans have bad meats in more than one store over the Tri State Area. Orange Chicken, Brown Beef and they are selling it.your selection was fresh and the Chicken and Beef looks the right color how it should look when it's fresh. I will be back.
