GIANT, Reading PA

This has been my go to location for grocery pick up as well as for flash food orders. The employees are always friendly and the store is clean.

Great place to shop my only complaint is their vegetable and fruit section does not offer much variety

Premium stuff at a premium price. The Citizens Bank branch in the store is top notch. (You can thank Helen for that!) Everything at Redner's (2 miles away?) is less expensive

One of my favorite Giant's, it has really fresh veggies and fruit, and a great selection of standard items.

Did my weekly food shopping and got my covid booster at the same time.
Clean store and nice employees

They are friendly and helpful here. They usually have most my stuff on the shelves. I hate the robot that is usually in the way. I enjoy my visits for the most part.

This store is dirty and the employees are rude. It stinks and there selection is not that great

They still have cashier's! Which is a huge plus! Never thought I'd be happy about something that should be expected.

Wouldn't really recommend this place if you're a person of color just saying they always look at you at you like you don't belong Some workers here talk down to us color people then to talk directly to usI definitely recommend going to the giant on Van Reid road it's in the opposite direction of this place but it's definitely worth the extra 3 to 4 minute drive 4 minute drive people actually care at the other location better than this one

If they don't start giving me some more gas money discount I'm going to stop going there

I purchased 11 items. 2 of the items I wanted were empty and I had to purchase more expensive alternatives. Sadly, this is normal for Giant stores and I literally drove past the Shillington Giant because they are worse.

I had purchased shrimp and tilapia from the seafood Counter Sunday evening, wanting to enjoy it today (it "expired" on the 17th) I opened the package of shrimp first and basically got sick from the hanious smell from the slimy shrimp that you felt okay to serve and charge ten dollars a pound for. I love shrimp but oh giant you made me never want to go near a peice of shrimp again. I wrapped it in 5 bags to try to mask that smell. Also your fish had a after taste. Do better the people of berks County deserve good seafood and not garbage. I can not believe a company like yours serves this awful, expired, gross, smelly, slimy
seafood. Please fix this for any future customers. I can't be one of those customers after smelling that shrimp.

We've been shopping at this Giant for years. The rewards are great and the pharmacy is the best. It is a clean store and we rarely have a problem finding what we need as it is always well stocked.

We often go to Giant and the staff always treat us nicely, and we appreciate the coupons that we can use.

However, the staff at the beer garden are limited. On multiple occasions, we've waited 10 to 15 minutes past the 9am open time to be greeted nonchalantly. We did appreciate the one staff member who went out of his way to make two announcements to try to get the staff member to come and assist.

Then to make matters worse, after a 10 plus minute wait time, we were told after I purchased with my Pennsylvania driver's license, that my wife's permanent resident card is not an acceptable form of ID where every PA government site clearly says it is, and we never had that issue elsewhere.

Love Giant, will keep going, but things definitely need to be shored up in the Beer Garden department.
