Grocery Store GIANT reviews
19I like Giant for their big selection of products. The checkouts are pretty efficient and the parking lot is roomy. Prices are lower than the competition for the most part, even better if there is a sale!
I have been shopping here for a while now due to them being one of the only stores in my area which carry items for people who have food allergies. I am lactose intolerant along with other issues. This store did carry A-2 half and half which aloud me to enjoy coffee again but last month they stopped carrying it. I have asked 2 different employees if this could be ordered for me if I prepaid for it and I was flat out told no. I just don't understand why you can't do this! I was buying 3 cartons a week of it.
Not a weekly shopper here at the Cressona Mall, but I can always find special items I am looking for and the employees are always helpful and friendly
I was going to Giant to get Tylenol for my daughter, who had a fever. The potholes are so atrocious I got a flat tire. The sidewall of the tire was destroyed, so there was no repairing it. My new tire was over $300.00. I would appreciate Cressona mall to reimburse my expenses for their lack of care to customers.
They need to get updated like the other giants. All the 'Foo Foo' food in one area instead of all over the store.
Best selection of organic produce that's close to home. Just have to pick through it so you don't bring home spoiled food
Went to deli counter. 4 ladies working. 0 customers. Went to get a ticket but machine had no tape. Stood in front of these workers till one of them decided it was time I could get noticed. Tells me she had to fix the tape. Then and only then did she start calling numbers. Mind you no other customers at counter but me. But she started calling the numbers two ahead of mine. She only acknowledged me when she had got to my number. This took 12 minutes and no cold cuts yet. Poor customer service. You are supposed to help the customer not make them feel like they are above you. Gonna notify corporate
Good store I've been chopping at giant for years. This location lost a star today because they had some misleading advertising. The manager on duty was not willing to refund the difference.
Giant is the best grocery store in the area, but is sadly lacking in fresh organic produce and other organic items! Regardless of what management may think people in this area really do care about their health and well-being!
Make deli clerk was pretending to be working when I was next in line. He waited for a small Spanish woman to wait on me before he took the woman after me. I'm a regular and he knows I get 5-6 items he didn't wanna work for me.
Nice variety of items available. Prices can be a little high but that is Giant in general. Store is well organized and pretty clean.
Nicely laid out store. Pricing is a bit high for the area but there are weekly specials that can't be had elsewhere. Cashier was pleasant.
How can sell fish that looks like it was already eaten by a shark. Also missed labeled meats. This Giant has went down hill
They usually have what I need at a decent price. Store is neat and clean and the coworkers are normally friendly and helpful. However last time I was in I was harresed at the self checkout by a woman who insisted watching over my shoulder as if I was going to try and steal something. When confronted about it she was extremely rude and continued to treat me as if I were a criminal.
Best Giant store in the area. Clean friendly and produce is fantastic
Above was my original review a few years ago.
Since then staff and pricing are ridiculous. Pricing I understand, it's the nature of what is happening currently.
However, the last 3 times we have shopped there, the "cashiers", have literally thrown fruit/vegetables down the conveyor. Strike one, I'll go to Bill's Produce.
My wife made a statement to not throw her pears, bagger says they are not pears, they are apples, today 4/28/22, when it happened for the third time.
Regardless (so happens they were pears), she was BUYING PRODUCT THAT KEEPS YOU EMPLOYED.
Employees just kept talking to each other, with no regard to the customer. My wife left without her list of food, without paying. Strike two.
She called the manager and was told I will have a talk with them. No, apology directed towards my wife. Good job making amends. Strike 3.
I will take all my business to other local facilities. In my opinion, this is all unacceptable.
Fruit is always fresh but the deli doesn't do a good job slicing lunch meat 1 slice of meat from thick to thin, if you use kiosk and choose medium slice it's like paper
Staff is excellent! I was in tonight and several employees asked if I needed help finding items.worked to open more cashiers as the line was getting longer! Great job! Clean as well!
I was here only one time. I only stopped here to grab a drink for the road. I didn't see the whole store. But for what I saw, it seemed like a nice store with a decent selection. The staff seemed ok.
Nice place the woman at register was wonderful she made sure all my coupons were on before total my bill and very polite
The elderly lady was just a bowl full of cheeriness and her kind chatter was catching. Also very clean store. I honestly didn't really check out their prices. Overall it was a pretty good experience. Would go there again.
