Grocery Store GIANT reviews
19Well, this is my favorite grocery store, depending on what I need! It's not always cheaper at Walmart, depending on what else I pick up! But I get my prescriptions here, the ones I don't get in the mail. I love the meats here and produce, I can get beer here! And gas points, and bonus points and that really helps! Once a got a free tank of gas!
Love giant and all the discounts and gas rewards. However.you have to go early before the crowd shows up. Good produce at reasonable prices
Seems the younger generation doesn't like customer service. Greeting someone can go a long way. Since when doesn't Cashiers bag anymore? If I knew I had to bag my own groceries I would have gone to self check out. Don't forget a simple thank you would be nice.
I shop giant since I moved here because we don’t have a Safeway or a Trader Joe’s. The prices are going up faster than my brain can calculate. But that’s the case everywhere. I can usually find what I need without going to multiple stores which is positive. It’s convenient and pretty well organized. I don’t like the whole digital coupon aspect. I figure if somethings on sale it should be on sale for everyone but that’s the wave of the future. Every store needs more cashiers I mean why do they even bother putting in cash registers (And no registers are not used for holidays either).
This most definitely is my favorite grocery store and favorite "Giant" in Reading! This store is extremely clean, all of the shelves are always stocked, they have almost every brand of item you can possibly look for/need and basically every worker I had interaction with were extremely friendly and helpful! This def is a great store to do all of grocery shopping at!
Only negative is the conditions of the ladies restroom. Very dirty, not toilet paper in several stalls and in desperate need of a good cleaning.
Always clean fresh produce. Good price on cereal. The workers are friendly and helpful. Out of chicken drumsticks on Sale.
Giant is always terrific. Great selection and great prices if your look hard enough. I went with 5 stars because they are at least trying to bring in local produce. Boar's Head is by far the best deli at any chain grocery store; and their selections of waters and coffee is always decent.
Giant Foods in Exeter has a great selection of organic groceries, more than any other grocery store in Berks County. Fix the self check-out. Too many warnings about bagging. Feel like I'm being a crook. Walmart does not do this at their self-checkout. The staff is helpful when I ask where something is. I've been shopping at the Temple store for years and recently re-located to the Exeter area and I have to get better acquainted with this store. Kind of tricky leaving the Giant lot because cars are coming at you at all directions. Be safe.
Overpriced- impossible to find things. Taking my 3 year old is a nightmare because people have no respect for distancing. Half the time things I'm looking for aren't available.
Like Giant supermarkets regardless of location. But the one in Exeter has a parking lot that's a real pain. A lot of people drive like animals through there.
Giant had everything we were looking for today except for onion rings. The store was clean and organized. The checkout lady was pleasant and efficient.
Giant has every thing you could want! I've tried sales items that I never tasted before.and now I have some new favorites. Birdseye Voila shrimp scampi! And crab salad in the seafood case!
I usually try to avoid Giant simply due to the nightmare of a parking lot but needed an item only they carry
Went early on a Sunday morning and as usual the store was already crowded. Went to the frozen food section and was shocked as a lot of empty spaces. I decided to grab a few other items and was shocked to find a lot of low stock on all shelves. I frequent Boyers, Weiss, and Redners and while some shelves were low it was nothing like Giant
Although this giant has great service and selection and is clean and has fresh food, which are all huge pluses of course, the biggest thing about this giant that I enjoy is their discounting policy. I just got a 5 pack of ginger beer for 50% off because somebody stole one. The main reason I shop here is because of their "yellow tag" specials.
Clean, well lit, very spacious for covid -19 perimeters. VERY VERY HEALTH Conscious toward their patrons! I suggest everyone at least check it out!
The only problem with this store and all the other giants in the area is the deli. I understand fresh sliced takes time but good lord!
I am never shopping here again this is my 2nd time coming here and I always have a problem with an employee came in to get shrimp nothing had a price on it the man in the charge was on his cell phone talking we had to wave at him to let him know we needed help and he has the nerve to come help me with an attitude although it's his department and his job to wait on customers but apparently his phone call while on the clock is more important than his job
Ordered a rotisserie chicken with my food for store pick up on Sunday. There are two meat scale labels stacked on top of each other with different dates. The one covered said sell by December 10 new label December 14 yet we ordered it for pick up on Sunday the 11th a day after original sell by. Packed on dates December 10th and new label December 11th. Great way to get people sick
Wife called store and they told us to return it which is fine but shouldn’t be happening.
